My mom, my sister, myself and my 2 daughters stayed 2 nights and spend Thanksgiving Day at the Issi. The cabin was gorgeous! I’ve never been on a trip with my mom and sister before so this was special for us. The cabin was more than we imagined. The cabin was fully stocked with everything and more! It was clean. Views are astounding. We arrived at night so we had a hard time finding the cabin but the manager was very responsive and helpful. We hope to return someday soon.
For a more remote experience, but not off-grid and not without all the comfort features, this is a great cabin. Large property worthy of exploring. There is a dollar store 10 min away, but we didn't need anything. We knew going into this that we didn't want to leave the property for any reason and brought all of our food. Management and maintenance were wonderful to deal with and the only reason there are not 5 stars across the board are because of some corner dustiness. The cabin was clean, but you can tell that some of the corner spaces need a wipe down. No biggie ....also we were supposed to have access to some movies that we didn't end up having (reason we got acquainted to the very responsive and friendly maintenance guy), but this also was no big deal. We brought our own preferred games from home which were perfect for our wind-down cabin experience. The only other thing we wish we had were cooler temps at end of Oct, but nobody except mother nature can offer that! Great, fun experience and we hope to find time to go back. (Note steps to loft are very narrow twisted steps. We didn't have children with us, but keep that in mind and maybe look at one of their other cabins if you have children that will need help up and down those steps.)
We didn’t know what to expect when we got there. When we walked in it was so comfy I could see the surprise in my family face on how nice the place was so it was a great feeling for me as well. Stayed for 2 night wish we had more Time we would have stayed longer. The cabin was perfect the veiw was amazing and at night the stars were like looking at a picture I have never seen them so nright! Our overall experience was perfect couldn’t ask for a better couple of days just what we needed!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The views were beautiful. The only thing I wished was different was that the bushes in the back had been cleared for an accurate scenic view. We only live 2 1/2 hours away from this cabin and definitely would comeback. We brought our two Australian shepherds and they loved it here. There is rubbing alcohol in the bathroom for potential tick bites, which was a nice gesture of the host. Thankfully, our dogs are protected from flea tick and worms, but if yours or not be aware that there are lots of ticks in the tall grass in the backyard. We stayed over Fourth of July and watch the fireworks from over the mountains and really enjoyed roasting s’mores over the fire. There was firestarter, charcoal, and Lighter fluid already stocked, which was also a very nice gesture.
10/10 we definitely will be back.
The cabin had a beautiful view. The okay brown was perfect. The cabin was very clean the linens were nice. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. My kids loved the air hockey and video console. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here over NYE with 2 adults, 3 teenagers, a toddler and a dog. It was perfect! The loft area was great for teens, the views were absolutely stunning! Plenty of space for everyone. There are hiking trails nearby walking distance, the river can be heard from the back patio. There is another smaller cabin close by but not too close, would be great for a larger group to book both cabins. My toddler loved the playground. We couldn't figure out the surround sound but it was not a big deal. Overall it was a great stay.
We anticipated a bit of open area for the kids to run and play, but found we were sharing the property with other cabins and most of the area was woods. The grill was not clean, so we had to clean it well before cooking on it. One of the loft beds looked dirty upon arrival. There were spider webs in various places and the only lighter there to light the firepit was practically empty. The internet was very spotty, and in the evenings, we were blinded by the setting sun through the kitchen window as we were preparing dinner. It was a beautiful view, but seriously needed some blinds on that window. Should be noted the stairs to get up to the loft are very steep and slim.
Overall, it was a nice escape. Very beautiful and peaceful. The property manager was easy to contact and responded promptly to any questions or concerns. There were games to play inside to entertain the kids as well.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Issi. Lots of space for our pups to run, beautiful property and very relaxing. Lots of hiking and nature! The ONLY negatives—couldn’t get the Wi-Fi on the TV to connect, Wi-Fi was spotty at best. Also the air hockey table was broken. About 35 mins from Hochatown so close enough to get there and far enough to feel out of town.
We had an amazing week at the cabin. Everything was beautiful. Amazing stars at night, the hiking trails were well maintained and gave us all hours of fun. A beautiful creek that we explored. The view is amazing. We cooked sooo many meals at the firepit, and listened to coyotes in the evenings. Will 100% be back!
The pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin was clean and felt luxurious. We loved the creek and our kids loved catching fish in it. We will definitely come back.
The property inside and out was very clean and well organized. I loved the concrete floors for pets, and my dogs appreciated it because they were nice and cool. We were able to bring our trailer and side by side with plenty of room in the driveway. Drove up and down Beachton rd and others we found along the way. Beautiful views and very relaxing. Kids, dogs, and parents really enjoyed themselves! Thank you!
This cabin is very rural which provides lots of privacy. (There is a Dollar General close by but that’s about it.) The sunsets from the back porch were out favorite thing each day! The cabin especially the kitchen is well stocked with all things that we needed, we stocked the fridge and enjoyed most of our meals at the cabin.
The only negatives we had were that the dishwasher doesn’t work and the bath towels had a sour smell, we had to re-wash everything.
We originally selected this property for the view, and the pictures do it absolutely no justice. My family enjoyed exploring the property around the cabin and it was a short drive to go explore the nearby state parks.
