Fun resort
Lifestyles Tropical is a fun, relaxing place to visit. The employees are all super nice and helpful. The bartenders make great drinks, and there are some really good restaurants. The churrascaría had the best prime rib I’ve ever eaten. Ocean World is included and is a fun half-day adventure. The listing is a little misleading, because you don’t really know which unit you will be in until you get there. There are photos of more than one unit. First impression everything looks impressive, but don’t look too closely or you will notice the property is aging. We ended up in a nice unit, but it was not conveniently located, and we had to take the shuttle bus everywhere. WiFi can only be found in a couple of spots on the resort. I ended up paying the $60 fee for the week to access property-wide WiFi. The beach is not that great with its brown sand, but the shaded beds are super relaxing and the beach service is good for drinks and snacks. The pools are also pretty nice. The entertainment is pretty good, but unpredictable. They may switch shows or cancel the welcome party. They will kidnap you for a tour and membership presentation on your first morning there, but we actually enjoyed getting to see the luxurious villa they will show you. Overall, we had a good week, but I prefer Punta Cana.
