Pretty 3BR 2BA Cottage w/ Hot Tub, Quiet Street, Close to Beach, Sunday-Sunday

▶ Silver Girl Rents Sunday- Sunday from May 18 through September 7.◀
(Three-night minimum stay, check-in any day of the week all other times)

⨳⨳ Our host fee includes housekeeping, bed linens for all beds, bath and kitchen towels, as well as twice-weekly spa maintenance by a licensed pool and spa technician. The entire fee reflects our costs with no added markup.⨳⨳

This clean bright cottage is perfect for a family or couples vacation. Located on a quiet street only two lots from the sand, Silver Girl has convenient private beach access leading over the dunes to a beautiful expanse of beach. The path from Silver Girl to the ocean requires walking inclines and declines on soft sand. Please feel free to ask questions about our location and beach accessibility.

Silver Girl has plenty of space to gather in the open living room and dining area. The kitchen is well-appointed, and each bedroom has a flat-screen TV with streaming capability. A DVD library, games, and books are there for your enjoyment.

Take in the ocean breeze on the wraparound deck and unwind under the stars in the warmth and relaxation of the hot tub. The comfortable hammock invites an afternoon nap.

This pretty house is a wonderful place to stay AND play. Silver Girl is close to great surf spots and world-renowned Pamilco Sound kiteboarding destinations (only 0.5 mile from Real Watersports!) The Rodanthe Pier and miles of beautiful coastline await your angling enjoyment. Sunbathing, shell seeking, bird watching, and simply relaxing make for a lovely vacation.

A walk/bike path extends the length of the Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo villages, leading past shops and restaurants from the Salvo Day Use Area to the skateboard park in Rodanthe.

▶ Private beach access leads to a path over the dunes, including inclines and declines on soft, shifting sand. If you have any questions about the accessibility of the beach or the closest wheelchair-accessible beach access, don't hesitate to ask.

▶ WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE which can be purchased through VRBO or outside vendors. Hatteras Island is vulnerable to storms and electrical outages. Unfortunately, mandatory evacuations occur.

The house is exactly like the pictures, very clean and organized. The hosts were communicative and friendly. Really appreciated having 6 nice beach chairs! Close to the beach but the walk over the dune is steep and may be challenging for older folks, but was not hard for us. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Sandy!

Quiet beach weekend

We were looking for a quiet beach weekend and Silver Girl was a great spot for just that. We cooked at home and found the kitchen had everything we needed.

Definitely the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed and a lot of natural light. The house felt very cozy and welcoming . The owner pays great attention to the property and keeps it cleaned, organized and well stocked. Sandra was very responsive to texts and had a list of things to do and where to eat. Great time!

Well-Maintained and Comfortable

My family and I had a lovely stay. Great, quiet location minutes away from food/shops in Rodanthe, Waves, and Salvo. Quick walk to the beach from the house. House was well-maintained and clean. Host was communicative before our arrival and we had no issues settling in and relaxing. Would absolutely rent this place again.

Awesome cottage - steps to the beach!

My wife, 2 y/o son, and I had a wonderful time! The location was perfect - just steps to the beach, and about halfway between the southern and northern OBX villages. The house itself was well-stocked, clean, and had plenty of room. We didn't end up using the hot tub, but it looked very nice and well taken care of. Some things to note: - Do NOT forget to bring bug spray! The mosquitoes were vicious. The surrounding area had a lot of standing water (due to a tropical storm that passed through before our stay) which made them really bad. - Be careful when walking barefoot on the deck (it could use a bit of TLC) - There is a bit of a sway when others are walking around the house. This might be unsettling for some people (especially in high winds) but didn't really bother us. Overall we had a great vacation and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

We really enjoyed our stay. Ample room, steps away from the beach, and with a nice jacuzzi for those times when we were just too lazy to walk those few steps. Whenever we had a question, they were answered right away. We loved our stay and look forward to the next trip!

Wonderful beach home for families!

We enjoyed our stay at Silver Girl and would definitely recommend! The beach house was clean and conveniently located to the beach. It was sunny and bright and a perfect little beach cottage for our family of 5! A few things that make a big difference for our family that we appreciated- The kitchen was well equipped but we also had room for our groceries. Beds were comfortable and the hot water for showers lasted a long time. Long enough for the 5 of us in our family to all take showers back to back! We appreciated having the hose on the deck for rinsing off after the beach and outdoor shower. I never had to bring sandy kids in the house! The street was quiet and we could see so many stars at night. Thanks for a wonderful vacation, Sandy!

Bold dune

Loved the house and location at center of OBX - short 30 min drive South to Hatteress and 30 min North to Nags Head. Clean, relaxing, plenty of family space, hot tub was fabulous, and large kitchen fully equipped (except couldn’t find a can opener). Having beach chairs was a plus. Only downfall we did not realize the dune was soooo steep to get to beach. Very hard to climb back and forth and tote beach gear. Was with my elderly mother, so we ended up driving to Roadanthe pier most days easier beach access.

So close you can hear the waves!

Our family enjoyed our vacation at Silver Girl! The space was perfect for us. Clean and well stocked. The owner was excellent in communication and was very helpful. We liked looking up at the stars while enjoying the hot tub and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to hear the waves while sitting on the deck! It was such a sort walk to the beach I felt like I had a beach front rental. I appreciated the clean fabric like hypoallergenic mattress and pillow covers. I expected it to be more like a plastic. They were comfortable and hardly even noticed with sheets on for us. Perk for those with kids was the fenced in part under the house that was connected with the deck area. The kids enjoyed playing in the sand while not at the beach and the hammock was great for the parent 👍. Highly recommend! We plan to come back:)
