False River fishing camp

Beautiful views of False River from this 3 bed 2 bath property with private pier, close to New Roads. Home features covered carport, all furnished , including washer and dryer. Bedrooms include a king bed, double bed, 1 set of bunk beds and a single bed for a total of 7 to sleep. Bring your boat for fun on False river or just hang out there and swim, lay in the sun or catch fish off the pier ! lighted fishing pier can make night fishing awesome at times . Many of my guest have caught chest of fish . Bass , catfish , bream , crappie , Big strippers ,gar ect live in the lake . There is plenty to do or do nothing at all! Shopping and restaurants are close by as well as activities in new roads . TV in living room to watch movies. Kitchen has dishes, coffee pot, pots to cook , microwave and dishwasher . BBQ pit outside also. This is my fishing camp , not the Waldorf Historian , It was built around 1979 . It has been well maintained and we keep it clean for us and our guest . Come for your getaway and enjoy this beautiful river!

Fishing trip with family

Great little getaway. House was clean and comfortable with everything needed to make us comfortable. Awesome pier for relaxing and fishing. The guys caught lots of fish.. Clair and David were the best. Will be back soon. Thanks so much for the hospitality!!

Great for a quiet gettaway.

We had a great stay at this camp. The hosts are great, and the property is nothing less then what is in the description. Me and my husband had a great few days here just relaxing and doing some fishing. If you bring a boat I would highly recommend going launch the boat before you pull up at the property, because the driveway is extremely rough and steep. But that is the only slight inconvenience we had with our entire stay. When we come back to False River this will definitely be one of our first choices to stay at. For the ammount charged and what you receive, you really cant ask for better. I highly recommend this propery and the hosts.

This camp met all our needs... great location (close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc), nice back yard area, and large pier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon!

Nice quiet getaway

We enjoyed our stay at The Camp, as always. We have been there a number of times and have never been disappointed. Always clean and well stocked. Claire was so helpful and caring, Hope to return in the fall so that my husband can catch fish off the pier and I can sit out on that awesome dock!

We loved staying here! Great location on the lake. Communication with our host was awesome!! Perfect little spot for our family of 4 and still had enough room for when our extended family came for a visit over the weekend.

We always have a good time when we stay here. Most definitely will stay again, everything you need is right down the street in the way of restaurants, grocery stores or shopping.

Nice quiet getaway for hubby & me. Windy days but a fabulous pier for us to relax and enjoy beautiful False River. The owners were so nice and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Loved the fresh eggs provided! Thanks! Be back!!

Riverbend project

Me and two other guys worked a project at Riverbend Nuclear Station for few weeks. This place made a great place to come home to even though the False River was being drained down. Fishing off of the dock was still very productive. Had everything a few working guys needed. The only drawback to our stay was it was the middle of sugar cane harvest and trucks....big trucks running by every few minutes 24 hours a day. Property managers made it still a great experience. Thank you Claire.

Nice family time on that big pier!!

Great place for family and friends to gather. Not a "fancy place", just a nice fishing camp with everything you need. Kitchen was well stocked and the air conditioner keep the Louisiana heat at bay. The pier was awesome!! Very convenient to stores and restaurants. We had a great time and plan to visit again soon!

below my low expectations

I've stayed in rough camps before with the guys so not going to bash it, but this place was not for the lady and kids. Priced lower than others, but not worth it to feel unsafe and unclean.

Weekend getaway

We enjoyed our stay here. The hosts were great communicating with us and it was greatly appreciated. We were able to walk right to the dock and catch fish there, even though the river had just flooded.

A Step Back

It’s a quaint little camp amongst all kinds of fancy. We had everything we needed. Owners were incredibly friendly and attentive to anything we had questions about. Excellent fishing. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
