Lovely old cottage, full of character in a quiet location. We had everything we needed. Our family had a super few days and woke up to a beautiful view of the water and deer in the garden.

About the host
Hosted by Philip Wood
Hi, we're your hosts, Pip and Mary. We’ve been together for nine long wild happy years trying to cobble a life together across three distant states with five children between us. We tripped sideways into managing properties in 2014. We love it and want to make it our mainstay, and that’s where you come in. Why Maine, you ask? Pip's maternal family has a long storied past here. They were shipbuilders and politicians, feisty matriarchs and male ne'er-do-wells, and his mother left him and his sisters a handful of properties that we now manage. We’re not quitting our day jobs yet, but we are trying our to live our best lives now. Pip is a former journalist and writer who has lived and worked all over the world. Mary is a Dharma yogi and education activist who loves to cook vegan food. We put a lot of love into our houses. We have a great local cleaning crew who keeps keeps them sparkling clean and a colorful cast of characters who mow, drill, and generally keep the show on the road. We know the area really really well and love to share this knowledge with our guests. We hope you enjoy our houses as much as we do.
