This was the perfect cabin for our (2) family Jeep trip to the Ozarks. The cabin was very clean, well laid out, and well decorated. We will be staying again!
Beautiful cabin surrounded by nature. We loved that it was tucked back in and not directly off of the highway. It was the perfect spot for our family to use as a home base for our trip!
Very good response from the host and the best getaway for a weekend

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly secluded. We will definitely be back!
This vacation is exactly what we needed and the cabin was nothing short of perfect. They thought of everything we could possibly need. We will definitely be back!
This was a fantastic cabin! It is in a great location for many fun activities that we did, such as hiking, kayaking, shopping, etc. And at the same time it was a very private location, which we enjoyed. Diane & Rick are great hosts and very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
Great Cabin, secluded located, lots of room to spread out. Close to lots of great hiking and floating of course. Would recommend an all wheel drive vehicle for the driveway, pretty steep for the mama bear cabin
This was a family trip, in order to see the older sister who lives local! It was wonderful to be able to have a family setting for our visit. The cabin and fire pit was perfect for reflection of days gone by! We wish we would of stayed 1 more night!
This cabin was a great size for our family (4 adults + 3 children) and we were completely isolated in the woods near the Buffalo and numerous hiking trails. We spent one day exploring some of the many waterfalls in the area and of course hiked to Hawksbill Crag for sunrise. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed for the weekend.
We had a wonderful stay at Mama Bear cabin. The cabin was absolutely beautiful. Everything was perfect and we can’t wait to come back again. Rick and Dianne are great hosts. They were very helpful and responsive to any requests.
This is by far the best rental I have ever had in the Ozarks. I could literally live in this cabin. It was superb. Will definitely be back!

A wonderful place to stay!!
I don't usually write reviews but this place is absolutely fabulous!
The owners have thought of everything and I will definitely be back.
Don't drive a car in though the driveway is pretty steep and definitely calls for a truck or SUV.
It does offer complete privacy and the perfect atmosphere!

Amazing, Secluded and Loaded
This cabin in the woods has everything. A great kitchen fully loaded, a fire pit great for telling stories, an amazing porch to enjoy the smell of a summer rain, and much more. We had an amazing time, if you're looking to staying in the Upper Buffalo River area make sure to check this place out!

Relaxing weekend
We spent an unseasonably cool late March weekend in the Mama Bear cabin. Since our outdoor activities were limited we enjoyed the clean and comfortable cabin, well appointed kitchen, and especially the fireplace.
We would certainly come back.

We were all surprised by how wonderful the accommodations we're and the attention to detail!
What a beautiful home in a serene setting!! The hosts were so friendly and added to the charm of the cabin! I booked my second trip as soon as I got home! I am tempted to say it's terrible so word doesn't get out as to how great of a place this is and it is hard to book it! Trust me you will love everything about it!
We absolutely loved staying here and it was truly quiet and you felt alone in the woods. Many places in the area are exposed to road noise, traffic, and close neighbors but this cabin is the perfect getaway from all of that while still being close to all the Buffalo river has to offer. You can really tell Dianne cares about her property and guests as the house was fully stocked with everything you could need for the weekend (chairs, lighters, grill, olive oil, pots, pans, and more!).
We will definitely be back!

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer Millikan
Upon retirement, my husband and I moved from Texas to this secluded 40-acre mountain property just 4 miles above the Buffalo River recreation area. We've recently constructed two new cedar log cabins in private areas of the property for visitors to the area to enjoy. We've taken great care to construct and furnish top-notch cabins with modern amenities yet still preserving a true cabin experience.
Why they chose this property
Our cabins provide some of the most convenient access in the area to the main Buffalo River activities. The Mama Bear Cabin is particularly suitable for guests who want complete privacy - you won't see anything but forrest in all directions!
