Our beautifully designed two-story home was completely rebuilt in 2017, and the private, lower-level unit—yours to enjoy—offers a perfect escape.

Location, Location, Location:

Perched on a peaceful bluff in Pacific Beach, adjacent to La Jolla, just 1.2 miles from the beach!

No traffic headaches here—simply enjoy serene coastal living with quick access to the ocean.

Spacious, Private & Fully Equipped: The unit includes a private entrance, two inviting bedrooms, a full bath, washer/dryer, a fully stocked kitchen, and a comfortable living room. Ideal for up to six guests, with two beds and a queen sleeper sofa.

Outdoor Living Like No Other: Three outdoor areas offer unobstructed, 180° views stretching from downtown San Diego to La Jolla.

Enjoy:

Deck 1: A dining area for six, two chaise lounges, a BBQ grill, and an outdoor heater.

Deck 2: A luxurious spa with jaw-dropping views.

Deck 3: A covered extension of the living room, perfect for relaxing in the shade.

Please note: We also rent the upstairs portion of the home, which is completely private and locked off from downstairs. Upstairs has its own private gated entrance at the street, and private entry door. When tenants are in residence upstairs, we do not rent the downstairs unit and vise versa -- if the downstairs is rented, we do not rent the upstairs unit. But, this is my primary residence, so, often, when there are guests downstairs, I am living upstairs. When I have guests downstairs, you have private use of the patio, deck, BBQ and spa -- and my goal is to provide you with complete privacy during your stay.

ALSO: This is not a party house. If you are planning on coming to Pacific Beach and partying into the wee hours of the morning, please look elsewhere. This is a quiet residential neighborhood and my neighbors are not shy about complaining when guests are partying after hours.

Property was excellent with a really nice view. Enjoyed the hot tub with views of the Pacific. Unit was comfortable and clean. I will definitely stay here again when visiting San Diego.

Million Dollar View

Our stay at the San Diego House was fabulous! The view of Pacific Ocean from the hot tub was amazing. The two bedrooms were perfect for three adults we had. Clean and modern appliances with washer/dryer stackable for catching up on laundry. The kitchen was very handy and the outside grill was great for cooking burgers and hot dogs. The house is minutes from downtown San Diego and La Jolla. The instructions for using the property were easy to follow and answered all our questions. The host was just a text or phone call away but we had no questions. Thanks for million dollar view and comfortable house! We’ll be back!

Perfect San Diego Getaway

My wife and I have stayed at this property a few different times and it's always a great time. It's a wonderful location, and the view from the deck/hot tub is outstanding. Property is well maintained, always clean, and the owners are extremely responsive and helpful for anything we need. Strongly recommended!

Lovely Outdoor Space with a View

The house has thoughtful amenities, comfortable beds, and deck with dining table, loungers and hot tub with gorgeous views. Location is convenient to Pacific Beach, Kate Sessions Park, the airport and downtown. Good communication with host. We will return!

Amazing setting, but a few issues

We had a great time at this VRBO in San Diego. The house was beautiful, with stunning views, in a great location near the beach, and wonderfully quiet, a fantastic hot tub, and was well-appointed. However, there were some significant issues that affected our stay. 1) We discovered black mold in a mini-split in the main bedroom late in our stay, which had a negative impact on my wife's health even 2 weeks after our stay. 2) The hot tub had been shocked with chlorine just before our arrival, which is common to do; however, the levels were extremely high and we were not aware because we were not notified. As a result, after using it for a short time, we had eye irritation and itchy/burny skin (one of us had peeling the next day).  Again, no apology, just a comment that it had been shocked. 3) The patio heater didn’t work, and despite troubleshooting it ourselves and also notifying the host multiple times that we really wanted to use it to stay warm in the chilly evenings, it was not addressed because they and the handyman were out of town over Thanksgiving. Even after they returned to their unit upstairs, they did not come down to try to fix. Overall, it’s a beautiful property and checks all the boxes in terms of location, beauty, etc., but caveat emptor if any issues arise because they may not be addressed in a timely manner.

Wonderful Vacation

Absolutely beautiful and clean home, with a large patio space and relaxing spa overlooking the ocean. The neighborhood was very quiet and centrally located. Short walk to nearby coffee shops, restaurants, etc. And only about a 20min drive to other destinations throughout the city. The host was very responsive, and check-in process was a breeze. Would definitely recommend booking this home if staying in the area.

Unfortunate

Unfortunately attacked by the host's dogs as my wife and I were trying to leave the property. I was not aware that their dogs would be present on site during my stay. This was not advertised on the listing. My pregnant wife and I were uncomfortable staying for the full 7 day reservation thereafter and I communicated this to the host. Unfortunately, the host was mainly concerned about the loss of revenue that would occur from me cancelling the reservation and asked me to pay what was "fair", off-platform even though I only stayed for the first night in exchange for canceling the remainder of the reservation. It was very difficult to cancel the reservation but after literally 4 hours on the phone with Customer Service, I ended up having to pay 50% of the total booking. Thankfully, no one was injured.

The rooms were nice and big. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the sheets were impressive. Nice barbecue on the deck which we utilize because the view is just gorgeous. A workable kitchen. I would recommend it.

Perfect view, wonderful stay!

Stayed for four nights with our two girls, ages 6 and 8. The location was perfect for quick trips to the zoo, beach, Petco park, sea world and Coronado island. It was so close to great restaurants in La Jolla too. The space itself was very clean and well-maintained. The inside was cozy and well designed - the outside was spectacular. We ate many meals outside and definitely enjoyed the hot tub and picturesque views

Gorgeous Weekend Getaway

This property was absolutely breath taking! My wife and dog and I stayed here from Thursday to Sunday for one of our mini moons. It was very private, romantic, and relaxing. The location is great: 10 minute drive to La Jolla, 7 minute drive to mission beach, 20 minute drive to downtown/Little Italy, and 25 minute drive to Del Mar/Torrey Pines. Just far enough away where you aren’t in the midst of traffic/city hustle bustle. Very private and safe neighborhood. The hot tub was awesome. We used it every day of our stay. Great outdoor views - can definitely relax and unwind at morning and night. The view overlooking the city and the beach is so beautiful. If my wife wasn’t pregnant we definitely would have walked everywhere! I would definitely recommend staying here for up to 4 people and maybe 1 child. There is a pullout bed, the master with a king, and a queen bed. More than 4 adults would feel crammed. Denise is a wonderful host, she was very responsive and gave tons of recommendations. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area!

ocean view paradise

We checked in and could not believe the incredible views from the house and decks--on line photos cannot capture it! Very quiet neighborhood--easy to access San Diego and close to La Jolla. We also went up to the wine country in Escondido which is 30 minutes away. Great restaurants with ocean views close by. The 2 bedroom unit is compact and lovely with the alfresco dining--outside heat lamp included! Would highly recommend!

Great location- super nice.

No issues whatsoever. Accommodations were as advertised, very clean, clear instructions for everything. Amazing patio and deck, we didn’t utilize the hot tub, but looked very relaxing. Homeowner lives above the rental unit but it is set up in a way that our paths never crossed. Lots of privacy. Would for sure stay again if in the area.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, and we loved the area. The weather wasn't great the first couple of days, but on our last day we got to enjoy the deck. Amazing 180 degree view from the deck.

Incredible views

The rental is located in a quiet neighborhood but still close to the beach, restaurants, and grocery stores. Very private and clean. All amenities you would need are included. The best part about this property is the large deck, hot tub, and incredible views. I actually wish we would have spent more time at the property utilizing them. We enjoyed our stay so much, even our toddler didn’t want to leave. Would 100% stay here again. If you’re debating between this and another property, pick this one.

Great location!

Our family of four stayed in this listing for a few days. The location was great for getting around to things we wanted to do in San Diego. The view was amazing and the unit was nicely decorated. The beds were super comfy. The hot tub was a wonderful addition to our trip. Denise was available via text throughout our trip to help with minor issues. She was friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stay!

Perfect San Diego experience

Denise is correct when calling this house 'The Ultimate San Diego Setting'. I cannot think of a more perfect house, inside and out, and the view of the ocean from the house is great. It's quiet, private, and frankly perfect. Hot tub on the multi-layer deck, privacy in a covered patio. Absolutely amazing house.

Beautiful Views

Great location in a quiet neighborhood up from the beach. Lovely deck with wonderful view of the bay and ocean. We loved relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of wine at the end of the day. Master bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is compact, just know there is no space to spread toiletries out, but otherwise quite nice. Good communication with host Denise.
