secluded hideaway

We enjoyed the lay out of the cabin. Location is nearby all attractions you might be interested in visiting. We enjoyed the quietness of the woods as the cabin is nestled along the hillside with no through traffic. Overall, we had an enjoyable visit. We would use this cabin again in the future.

Fun Time with Kids

We enjoyed the small hike down to the creek where the children played and panned for gold. It was just shallow enough for them to walk around and play and explore. The hot tub under a covered porch was also a plus in case of rain they still had entertainment. We never left the cabin! Hope to book again next year!

Laurel Creek Family Get away

We loved the cabin. Each couple had it's own floor with King Bed and bathroom. Common space included a large table that we used for meals and games. Great weekend in a great location.

Beautiful

The location of the cabin is a short drive to everything. The casino in Murphy is close by, Blue Ridge etc. There was more to do in the area than there was time for. The drive to the cabin is very pleasant and scenic. I had read some complaints about the steepness of the drive and the roadway needing repairs. The steepness is no problem with probably any time of vehicle. There was a bad storm while we were there that caused some washing out but the road is in really good condition despite the amount of rainfall. Use Waze for directions and it will take you there. There is plenty of wildlife to see - deer, rabbits, wood chucks etc. The cabin itself very nice. All 3 floors have nice bedrooms and bath rooms. It’s nice to sit on the balcony and watch the wildlife. It is well stocked, the only thing we needed to bring was coffee filters. With a dartboard, hot tub, pool table , lots of games, books, ample seating, there is plenty to do at the cabin even though there is equally plenty to do within a short drive. The walk down to the creek is a bit steep but worth the effort. There are path ways and steps to make it easier. I will go back, beautiful place. the cabin itself

In the woods, on the side of a mountain and secluded

In all, it was a nice cabin. But it definitely needs some maintenance. Various items are broken or heavily worn, the pool table and hot tub are in pretty bad shape. The place is generally worn down and needs some love. The “driveway” is driving up the side of a mountain on a gravel road, I would not arrive for the first time in the dark, but once you do it once you should be good, unless another car is coming from the other direction. I have no idea how you would get up there if there were ice. The low per night fee is misleading. The fees eventually appear when you look for them, but most of us start our search with a nightly fee. After you add all the fees, our nightly fee doubled. So something to be careful of. In all, we enjoyed out time, but the cabin could use some maintenance. Beds were comfy & clean, all the kitchen stuff we needed was available.

Roomy but cozy

We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was secluded and quiet. The bed was really comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. It had tons of space but felt cozy. We loved spending time in the hot tub and playing pool. It was nice spending time on the decks and listening to the creek. Please make sure that if you need to contact the management company you do it through their platform not VRBO. They do not respond to VRBO messages. I didn't understand that and had trouble getting ahold of them at first. Once I figured it out they were very good about responding. The last couple of roads getting to the cabin were rock, narrow and steep. We didn't have any trouble in our Equinox but can see how you would have trouble in snow or ice. We would definitely rent again if we were in the area. Beautiful!

Anniversary Getaway!

We live in Fl and love to ride our motorcycle in the Blue Ridge mountains. It was our 5 year anniversary and we took a chance based on pictures for our escape. This is a great home that serves all purposes for family, couples or friends to enjoy. Awesome and secluded area for peace and quiet with a hot tub and pool table for evening enjoyment. Thank you for having everything there and everything working. We will be back!
