About this property

MILLION DOLLAR DOUBLE WIDE!!!

Ok, (not really).... when we were looking to buy, this place was listed for $110,000,000 (which was a typo) and the place was a DUMP!!! While under construction, we referred to it as the "million dollar double wide" and the name stuck, just didn't seem right to call it anything else. The house has been COMPLETELY remodeled from top to bottom. New Bathrooms, New bedrooms, New Kitchen, New exterior....... List goes on and on. We really feel like we have spent a million bucks on it. Located in the heart of the village, Its a short walk or bike ride to all the restaurants and shops. Bike rental is across the street, coffee shop is 3 blocks away. Golf cart rentals are available in several locations on the island. There is a huge covered porch with a walkway to it. Out back we have an outdoor shower with a walkway to the porch.

The house has a master bedroom, with a queen size bed, and master bathroom with a shower.
Bedroom number 2, has a FULL(double) size bunk bed set. Sleeps 4 comfortably.
Bedroom number 3, has a queen size bed. Second bathroom has a full size bathtub.
Smart TV's are in all bedrooms.
This is the perfect setup for 2 families and 4 kids, or 4 couples.

Fully functional Kitchen, with a large open concept great room, perfect for the entire family to be together. Basic kitchen condiments available (please replace if you empty), or bring your own. A Keurig coffee maker is available, but you must bring your own coffee.
Also included is a washing machine and dryer.(supplies not included).

Bath towels and bed sheets will not be provided. Bedspreads are on all beds.

You must bring your OWN personal hygiene supplies.(soap,shampoo etc....)
NO beach accessories will be provided.

Simple and Easy

This house was clean and provided all of the amenities that we needed. Extra toilet paper, paper towels, soap bug spray, trash bags and more were available. We even were allowed to use the bikes in the closet when we didn't have enough for all of us.

This was our second stay in this house. It is clean and updated and has great ac and comfortable beds. Both times it has been quiet and peaceful. A hidden Ocracoke gem.

Family vacation

We loved visiting the island. The location was in a quiet neighborhood. It was a bit cumbersome to bring our own sheets and towels but we appreciated the affordability of the place. Just one note about the check in process. Upon checking in we could not find a procedures sheet and it wasn’t clear what other supplies we could use and couldn’t use.

Lovely Home

My family enjoyed our stay at this very well kept home on the island. It was equipped with all we needed to cook our meals. My husband was especially happy to see a charcoal grill there. I would like to encourage future guests to check out the fish house as they had all the seafood you could want to cook and eat. My kids had plenty of room to spread out. The bedrooms are spacious. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch for breakfast and late in the evening. The house is conveniently located near the Pickleball courts which we had the pleasure of playing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The perfect OINC gem

This home was the perfect spot for our crew. We spent a long weekend on the island and had the best experience. The house was clean and setup perfectly to host a group or family. We were bummed the porch wasn’t screened in but still enjoyed our time out there. The backyard space was great & the outdoor shower was the cherry on top of the whole place. We definitely recommend staying here! A few OINC first timers in the group cannot wait to be back!

This house worked beautifully for us -- 4 adults and 2 children, aged 3 and 1 month. All amenities were excellent; house was clean and in great shape. Owner was very cooperative and helpful. Only improvement would be to screen in the front porch, as mosquitoes can be fierce...

Island Relaxation

We had a wonderful time at this property! The house was very comfortable. The front porch was a nice option for gathering also the inside dining area. We bbq'd, visited, played games ate in some or out at local restaurants. It was easy to find out info on driving on the beach and where to go for local sights/activities.

We loved this house from the moment we entered it. It was spacious, clean and the beach decor was on point. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook just about anything. It was dark and quiet at night and the beds were super comfy.

We live in eastern NC. My husband farms, I am a beautician. We have traveled to a lot of different beaches and once we started visiting Ocracoke, we fell in love with the island. We have a teenage son that loves the freedom he gets there. He can go off with friends he has made there and we feel that he is safe. My husband is also a pilot and it is nice to fly in for the day and enjoy the beach.

Why they chose this property

We also dabble in rental property as a side business, We are always looking for a good deal in an area we like, and we this came on the market (the day before we were meeting the realtor) we added it to the list to look at. I saw a dump, The kids saw a "crack house" and my husband saw a brand new remodel house.

Everything is brand new inside and outside, except for the appliances and a few furnishings.
