Tucked Away Timber Upper Suite

Sit back, relax and enjoy your stay in this beautiful hand-scribed log home that is tucked away in the woods, yet less than 3 minutes from the airport and only 10 minutes to downtown. This 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, roomy upper suite, is part of a duplex and even has a heated garage! This home is open and bright and has all the comforts and amenities of your own home to include smart TVs, highspeed internet and WIFI.

What is not to love about this beautiful log home! This updated suite has it all to make you feel right at home. The large living, dining and and fully stocked kitchen area is perfect for larger groups and entertaining friends and family. There is a large sectional couch to relax on and lots of seating for eating and games whether that be at the dining table or wrap around kitchen island. Tall, vaulted ceilings throughout the home showcase the beautiful Alaskan log beams!

Don't worry about parking outside in the winter because this VRBO includes a heated garage stall that is large enough for a truck or full-size SUV!

Each of the 3 bedrooms has a closet and queen size bed with quality mattresses and linens. Two of the bedrooms even have wall-mounted smart TVs for you to enjoy your favorite shows or movies on Netflix and Hulu! For added comfort one of the bedrooms even has an adjustable bed!
If you are traveling with little ones, we do have a pack'n play that is available upon request.

There is also a shared washer and dryer in the garage that is available for use during your stay.

Please reach out if you may be interested in booking both suites to have the entire building to yourself for larger groups. The lower suite sleeps 4 adults and is 2 bedrooms with a full bathroom, kitchen, and living room.

Guests can access the home through the shared entryway. Your door code will work for the front entrance and your suite only. The upper suite has a private balcony to enjoy yet the backyard is a shared space with the lower suite. Guests may park in the garage on the right side. Please do not block the left side garage or detached shop.

We live nearby and are typically available within minutes for questions or concerns if needed.

This home is the upper unit of a Duplex, there may be some noise transfer of guests, but we do have have quiet hours posted.
Both units are available for booking. Guests share the yard, garage, entryway, and laundry area. The bathroom does not have a bathtub, instead it is a full-size walk-in shower.

New Years Arctic Circle / Fairbanks Trip

Great place loved the wood cabin feel. Saw the Northern Lights from the back yard. Hosts were quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed. Even had some gifts left for us when we arrived. Took a trip up to the arctic circle and this was a good base camp for our start. Perfect place for New Years. Very satisified with our stay

Excellent winter cabin to lounge away a week in. We came to see the Aurora, do tourist things, cook together and play board games. The cabin was great! Quiet location. Very good lighting. Perfect host services. Zero issues.

Surprisingly quiet stay near the airport

We were somewhat worried that being so close to the airport, this house would be noisy but it wasn't at all. The beds were very comfortable, the house was very clean. We appreciated the use of the washer and dryer. The host was very easy to communicate with and very helpful.

Great Place to Stay in Fairbanks

We appreciate the communication and accuracy of the listing. The amenities ans location of the Upper Timber is great. Our extended stay after our cruise at this fabulous spot was a perfect end to our trip. There were 6 of us ages 1 to 50. Tera and Bobby communicated very well. The highlight of our trip seeing Aurora Borealis from the Upper Timber. Thank you for everything. Carmen M.

If you come in the summer, there's a great back porch with a lawn. There was plenty of room for our family and lots of extras I didn't expect (like microwave popcorn, snacks, condiments, etc.). I highly recommend this place. We were in town for my grandson's baptism and it was great to be comfortable while in Alaska.

Very nice house. Pictures and descriptions are exactly what you get. Just what we needed for our short stay in Fairbanks. Tera was a great host. She was very responsive and looked after all the details that make it a nice stay. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful property

Easy location to get around town

Almost perfect

So much better than first impression. Wondered about the set up and the neighbourhood when we arrived. Found an Immaculate and well designed residence. Loved the spacious living and eating areas. Took advantage of the entertainment available. Bedrooms were attractive and the beds comfortable. Our tall and hefty son found the double bed a bit tight. Only limitation was having one bathroom. It was well organized, functional and we appreciated all the towels but 6 adults put a lot of pressure on its availability. We knew we were going to have to manage with just the one bathroom but it was a bit difficult. Overall it proved to be a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This rental is almost new! Get set up for 3 couples or a family. Nice size kitchen and living room with a deck to enjoy in morning or evening… we did both!

Clean. Comfortable. Relaxing. Roomy. Exactly what you'd want your VRBO to be like. We rented both units. Everyone had their own bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped. House was well equipped. It was the best place we've stayed at in Fairbanks. Would rent it again.

Excellent vacation home and an awesome host!

A beautifully kept vacation rental strategically located within a hop away from the Fairbanks international airport. The house is in an excellent condition and the host has used top quality materials to build the interiors. The kitchen is fully equipped and the host was kind enough to stock basics so you're ready to go as soon as you enter. We were welcomed at check-in and the host gave us a tour of the house and walked us through some to-dos in the area and helped us with an mobile phone app so we can have attractions, places to eat and shop for groceries at our fingertips. The only thing different in our experience here was that there are 2 floors - upper and lower which are rented out so you may have company during your stay. Although the upper and lower rentals are totally separated with their respective entrances with no interference whatsoever, so that does not shave any stars away from our experience. We stayed at the upper rental which had a lovely patio and a big lawn outside for children to play. All in all a great experience and will stay here again if we were to visit Fairbanks again. Highly recommend!

There are a lot of little extras in this property that we didn't find in other properties we stayed at during our vacation. Attention to cleaning

Owner was very personable and friendly - 4 stars. Cold bottled water was supplied by the owner and fresh fruit upon arrival - 5 stars. However, the property needed better attention to cleaning as a dirty washcloth from previous renters was left draped over the soap dish in the shower. Made me question the cleanliness of everything else unfortunately - 1 star.
