Heart of Marquette, close to downtown, Lake Superior and 3rd Street

Stay in the heart of Marquette in this lovely updated late 1800's farmhouse loaded with charm and character! The 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is located steps away from Marquette's best restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops!

Local favorites, including the Sweet Water Cafe, Black Rocks Brewery, Down Wind Sports, Contrast Coffee, and Third St. Bagel are just steps away. With a short walk or an even shorter bike ride, you'll have access to the pristine beaches of Lake Superior and the excellent biking and hiking trail network.

The kitchen with bar and dining room make an excellent gathering space. The South-facing position of the home means gorgeous natural light streaming in to illuminate the maple hardwood floors.

The front porch and back deck off of main bedroom are great spots to enjoy your morning coffee or your evening cocktails.

There are flowers all around the house, including lilacs. Hopefully some edible chives too!

Hard-wood floors, tiled bathroom, large capacity washer and dryer. New appliances including a stainless interior dishwasher, 5 burner gas stove, and a large capacity bottom freezer refrigerator.

Stocked with all the amenities an individual, couple, or small group would need for an extended stay, the house is perfect for family-style vacations in a small urban setting.

The main bathroom and shower is on the second floor and the second bath and shower is in the basement. There is no toilet on the main floor and there is no bathtub available. But there are lots of fresh towels, soap, and shampoo. We have two outdoor security cameras, one by each door.

Family Fun

This was our 3rd time staying here. Location is key in Marquette and this home is surrounded by lots of restaurants, breweries, shopping and quick access to the lake. The kitchen is well equipped!!! We will definitely be back!!

This was the perfect location and size for our weekend in Marquette! The property was centrally located for the things we wanted to do and walkable for shops/restaurants. Great hosts, house, and location! Would stay again!

Convenient location

This was our second stay in Marquette and we really enjoyed this home. We walked to the local shops and restaurants, and appreciated that bike rental was available directly behind the house. The yoga studio next door was lovely and welcoming.

Great Property!!

Fall getaway

This was our 2nd time staying here for what has become our fall family getaway. Location, location, location is what it is all about in Marquette. The home is well equipped- next years plan is to try and stay in for a nice meal … hard to do in a town that offers so many dining options❤️. We will be back!

We had a great time! Close to great restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and art galleries. Easy walk to lake and easy access to bike trails and paths. The house was as advertised, very clean, well stocked and just what we were looking for. We will be back!

Cute house fully stocked with everything you need. This house is in the best location, great for kids and teens to get around town by themselves. Marquette is a great town and we would love to stay here again.

Great Neighborhood

This property has classic Marquette character. It’s clean, well appointed with some cool extra amenities. Great neighborhood within walking distance to Blackrocks brewery, Contrast coffee, and more unique local retailers. An excellent choice when visiting the Marquette area.

Great location and plenty of beds.

This was my 2nd time staying here. It’s a great location close to downtown MQT and NMU. Plenty of places to grab a drink or eat within walking distance. Off street parking for 2 cars is a bonus for winter stays. Well stocked kitchen. Clean and comfortable. Also for an older home there there was nothing that triggered my allergies- a big plus. Feels more like staying with friends than a VRBO.

Great Location and Lots of Space

Great historic home that has been updated to make you feel very comfortable, clean and cozy. All spaces of the home worked great for our family and had all the amenities we needed. Don't be deterred by the basement bathroom (I was leery). The basement is so clean and well done for a laundry/2nd bathroom space. Can't beat the location - we walked downtown, to get cream, shop, etc more than once. At night there is some noise pollution since it is next to a busier street in town but the proximity to all the shops and restaurants outweighs this small issue. We would stay here again and recommend to family and friends!
