Cozy Beach Getaway in a Great Location, But Better for Couples Than Families
I recently stayed at this home and had a pleasant experience. The location was great, just a short walk to the beach, which was very convenient. However, the view didn’t live up to expectations, as you can barely see the ocean from the property. The house was very clean and well-maintained, though it's a bit on the older side. It had everything we needed, and it was clear the owners take good care of it. The communication with the host was excellent; they were quick to respond and very friendly, which made the whole process smooth. While the house worked well for our trip, I would say it’s a bit small for a family of four, especially when it claims to accommodate six people. I would recommend it for two couples or a couple’s getaway, but it may not be the best choice for families with kids. That said, it could be a fun and cozy escape for those looking for a peaceful retreat close to the beach.
Over all super easy to get to my destination, easy to communicate with any questions and also very happy with the fast response. Would definitely recommend it 🤗🤗🤗🤗
The house is as described. It is small but great for small groups or just a couple or two. It was a great location, about 8 miles from San Luis Pass with a bar and store in walking distance.
Great place for our little family to get away for the weekend. Very close to the beach—5 min walk, 1-2 min drive. Had an awesome time. Hope to visit again!
House was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Only problem we had was a thunderstorm knocked out our cable tv connection and we never got it back.
The house worked great for the two of us. Bed was comfortable and kitchen well stocked. It could use a better cleaning job of the bathroom.
Typical of Galveston houses, there was rotten wood on the exterior and some storm windows were not working. We wish the palm trees in the front were trimmed for a better view of the beach.
We spent the day on the beach and dined out.

Clean and comfortable
We had a good stay for 2 days. Not exactly as listed but not a game changer. We will be back in a few months.
This home was great.
I was surprised which side of the San Luis Pass it was on. I thought it was gulf side, but you do have to walk over the busy road to get to the beach. We are used to staying closer. I'm not sure if that is my misunderstanding of the listing or it wasn't that clear. However, either way, this is a great home. It's definitely not too far from the beach.
The house had everything we needed.
Very cute beach home, close to the water!
Cute, clean home. Comfortable beds!
The only downside I encountered was the storm shutters banging on the windows at night when the wind blew. It sounded like someone was knocking on the window..
Other then that, a great stay!
The house was clean and has everything you need to relax , and prepare your own meals. Will be really helpful if the owner add a washer and dryer but for us (two people) wasn’t a problem .
The location is perfect ! The beach is a cross the street.
Definitly we’ll come back!

Porch maintenance needed
Porches and railings are rotten in so many places and need to be repaired. My 6 year old couldn’t lean on the railing to look over because it started to lean. Property is super clean and furniture looks to be new. The inside of the house is really nice and everything is there that you will need. There is a busier road in between the neighborhood and the beach but we rented a golf cart so it wasn’t a big deal for us. The shower down stairs was great to rinse of sand!

Could be great
Location is nice quiet family friendly community. Close to beach.
House was not as clean we would have liked. There was dog hair through out and floor was gritty. The toilet handle rusted off the 1st day and my husband had to replace the parts which was an easy fix. They just need to do some minor upgrades and the place could be great.
The house is so cute & comfortable. I felt totally safe too.
The picture made me think the house was closer to the beach than it actually is. It’s close but across a busy street.
My only complaint is that at night with the wind blowing the storm shutters bang & made it hard to sleep one night. I hate to complain because it’s a very nice little place. I would recommend it.
We got to the house and at first the water did not come on. Coldest weekend in Galveston ever. I called the owner and she was helpful. Fortunately the water did start running. We had no other problems. Very quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and as depicted. Everything we needed was provided. I would rent this place again hopefully in warmer weather.
The property was aa described, andwell located. We didn't stay more than a couple of hours because the fabreeze fumes were so strong. The home also wasn't as clean as I am comfortable with.
If you are looking for a bargain near the beach for a family with kids, this might be a good cjoice for you, It wasn't for us.

The house doesn't represent the pictures- wouldn't book this one
The house location is close to the beach. Outside needs painting, wood falling off the house. Deck in desperate need of repair, safety issues for young children and elderly . Patio furniture was challenging at times to use due to wear and tear. The front door was so hard to open, took multiple attempts to open every time, very frustrating. Needs repair ASAP! 6 towels, 1 hand towel and no wash cloths. Random clothes in the drawers. The one closet cannot be used, too much random stuff piled high. We all had to shower outside (works great) because inside shower backed up with hair coming up from the drain, Good news the weather was perfect all 4 days. The house does not sleep 6 people, the only other place to sleep besides the queen beds is couch (not a pull out). Air conditioning worked great! The cleanliness was an opportunity, example, floors, bedrooms and bathroom. Bring bug spray lots of mosquitoes. I would pass on booking this place until repairs are made.
This house was everything we hoped for! From the moment you open the huge sliding glass door, you know you are near the beach from the clean, beach decor. I have always preferred the west end of the island. Although it is about 30-40 minutes to drive to the sea wall and all that Galveston has to offer, the drive goes quickly. We even drove in one night for shakes at La Kings - drive was no big deal. It’s worth it for a less busy beach and great access to beach and bay. The beach out this far isn’t as busy as Bolivar or the sea wall. The great thing is that if the beach close to the house seems busy, you just drive a bit to find another beach access point. We had access to the pier in the Sea Isle neighborhood which my teenage son loved for night fishing . There is a little marina which has a bait camp and an area with live music on weekends. The house had everything we needed to cook dinner, BBQ outside, etc. but there are several stores near. Check in was easy. Wifi was great. Beds comfortable. In fact my husband was obsessed with the pillows! Plenty of space for all of us. Loved it and highly recommend!
