Luxury 4 Bedroom Villa With Private Pool and Panoramic Sea View

Set in a perfect location on the mainland near Poros town, at the same time offering quiet surroundings and exclusive privacy. 300 meters from the sea side and 40 meters above, nicely placed in a hillside surrounded by olive trees, it offers unlimited and panoramic sea view. The estate's privacy is secured with fencing, a short drive on a paved road of 100 meters from the public main road.

The villa, with its two levels (160 m2) and a garage car parking in the basement, is fully furnished and equipped for 8-10 persons. 1st floor (at ground level) consists of the entrance hall with a wardrobe and guest wc, the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, an open plan kitchen and dining area, fireplace and lounge with access to a 20 m2 balcony with panoramic sea view.
On the sub-ground level you find 3 double bedrooms, of which 2 have French doors opening onto a sea-view terrace, a second bathroom with shower, and separate laundry and storage room. The biggest bedroom has a sofa-bed which can be arranged for 2 extra people (upon request).
One level further down there is more storage space and a garage for parking.

The house has direct access to the outdoor lounge area with a swimming pool with a breath-taking sea view and a marble deck with sun beds. The pool area offers an outdoor BBQ kitchen with fridge and a large dining table with seating for 10 people. These facilities are reserved for the tenants use only during their stay. A shower and toilet is also available in the pool area. The pool area is common with the second house which belongs to the owner of the property. The owner's house is not rented out and the tenants may use the pool and barbeque area exclusively.
This villa is built in 2014, and care has been taken to choose designs that are modern and functional. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with tableware, cutely, glasses, utensils and pans. It has an oven, large fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. The living room with its fireplace is fully equipped with furniture and with a dining table seated for 8 people. Satellite television and Wi-Fi internet are available (Wi-Fi also in the pool area). The house has an advanced underfloor heating and cooling system with integrated dehumidifiers. There are no noisy, unpleasant air condition units which typically cause a stream of cold air.

Lovely sea view Villa

Villa was great with stunning views over to Poros. Pool area was the highlight with lovely terrace and bbq area. Accommodation is very comfortable and clean. Within walking distance to local beach and taverna. Is only a short drive to Galatas for the ferry over to Poros. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic week

We had a wonderful stay, the house was clean, comfortable, very well equipment and their housekeeper Ann was always on call if needed and extremely welcoming and friendly. The pool is exceptionally deep which surprised us so I would only recommend for children who confidently swim. Mine can all swim well and coped ok but it would have been tricky otherwise. The views were incredible and the area really friendly. We would 100% go back!

Outstanding!

This is an outstanding house and it was a unique experience. We had a wonderful and enjoyable time and the two weeks with friends and family passed by too quickly. The house itself, the equipment, the barbecue area and, of course, the pool are amazing. Ann, the housekeeper, was very helpful supporting us whenever she could. In sum, we strongly recommend the house and area to everyone who like to spend a relaxing time in a wonderful part of Greece!

Our beautiful paradise.

We returned to our favorite holiday spot, and let us just say, again it fully lived up to our expectations. From the minute we arrived the scent of jasmine from the garden welcomed us. Ann was there to greet us with all sorts of delicacies, which we enjoyed so much. She has been so helpful through our stay in the villa. We spent the days around the beautiful pool area or the two beaches nearby. The evenings were spent on the lovely balcony, just star gazing and talking. If you want a relaxed holiday, this is the place to be. We also found a new best spot for morning coffe, as the owners recently upgraded the outdoor area, a new outdoor room with a view overlooking the beautiful scenery. This is a place we do not want to go home from (but we have to unfortunately). This is one of the most beautiful places we have been to and can only give our highest recommendations for everything.

Return to paradise.

We returned to this fantastic place, after having been there for two weeks in 2021. As we arrived again, it just felt like landing in paradise. The house and the view is just fantastic, I could sit a whole day (and night with a glass of wine), just to suck in the beaty of it. The pool area is amazing and we spent the days relaxing in and around the pool. We also went down to Aliki beach which is very nice. In the evening we enjoyed the barbecue area, where we grilled fish from the fishmonger in Galatas or took a boat to Poros, which is very cozy as well. This place is a gem that we did not want to leave.

Vacances parfaites

Magnifique maison ,autant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur . On peut se mettre soit à l'ombre, soit au soleil que ce soit pour manger ou se reposer à toutes heures de la journée avec la vue splendide. Anna est extrêmement gentille et serviable , elle s'adapte à vos demandes ou conseils. il y a des commerces à 3 km et la Plage d'Aliki a 500 m On peut se rendre a Poros en Taxi Boat ainsi que sur les Plages de Poros. Galatas est une petite ville typique Grec ou il y a peux de touriste , essentiellement des locaux. Endroits très paisibles et reposants. Hopital à Galatas en cas de Besoin . La Piscine est superbe comme le reste . Merci à Anna et Inger pour ses vacances inoubliables.

A dream place

Juste magnifique, très belle piscine grande et profonde, la plage accessible à pieds avec une petite taverne les pieds dans l eau, une vue géniale, un coin barbecue top. Pour celles et ceux qui aiment l animation la ville de Poros à proximité. On a passé un séjour extraordinaire la maison est parfaitement équipée, une déco sobre et moderne. Ann nous a très gentilement accueilli.

Simpelthen fantastisk og smukt.

Da vi sad i Villa Elia, en af de første dage, talte vi om at den anmeldelse vi ville lave skulle være helt vildt dårlig, således, at huset ville være frit til at vi altid kunne leje det igen. For det her sted er et af de bedste steder vi nogen sinde har været. Huset og omgivelserne er fantastiskt placeret, på en bakketop med udsigt til Poros. Når man kommer op i stuen møder der en en udsigt, som er storslået og balkonen ud fra stuen er et oplagt sted at sidde eftermiddag og aften og bare suge udsigten til sig med et glas vin. Hele udeområdet fungerer rigtigt godt, der mødte os en duft af jasmin og rosmarin når vi gik udenfor, vi brugte poolområdet og grill området hele tiden og nød også her det lækre udeområde. Huset indenfor er dejligt rummeligt, lyst og superrent, det samme er poolen, som bliver set til hver morgen. Rummene er rigtigt fine og stue/køkkenområde fungere også rigtigt godt. Der ligger en dejlig sandstrand lige nede af vejen, med helt rent vand. Vi kørte ofte ind til Galatas for at handle, men sejlede også ofte over til Poros for at spise et måltid mad. Vi nød at være i Galatas, da det var meget mindre turistet ifht. Poros. Ann, som er housekeeper, har været helt fantastisk. Da vi ankom havde hun lavet et lille let måltid (snacks) og drikkevarer, hvilket var så skønt at komme til. Hun har gennem hele vores ophold været så behjælpsom, rar og meget nem at komme i kontakt med, og supergod til at komme med ideer til ture, det har været en fornøjelse. Bookningen og den løbende kontakt med udlejer Inger har også gået superfint, vi har hver gang fået hurtigt svar på vores bookning samt efterfølgende spørgsmål. Vi kan kun give vores allerbedste anbefalinger, da vi elskede at være her og håber, at vi snart kan komme tilbage.

Wonderful villa in a gorgeous location

We had a perfect 9 nights at Villa Elia. Inger, the owner, made everything very easy and generously allowed us to extend our stay to more than a week. The location is stunning with gorgeous views towards Poros. The villa is very well equipped and in fact the photographs don’t do it justice. It has a lovely open plan living room and dining area with a balcony to sit out on. The air conditioning system is excellent and remains at a perfect temperature. The pool area was lovely and we spent a lot of time there. We had many enjoyable meals in Galatas and on Poros. The local restaurant, The Galley, and Poseidon Taverna on Poros were our favourites. Most evenings were spent wakeboarding with Karolos at The Passage on Poros which our teenage children loved. It was a wonderful holiday.

Outstanding Villa with great views

Perfect holiday in a great villa, clean, modern and well equipped. Very spacious outdoor area with great BBQ facility and large dinning table beside a beautiful affinity pool. The villa is isolated enough to not worry about the amount of noise (sound system is provided in the pool area.) but close enough to Galatas town and the Island of Poros to allow easy regular trips to the many restaurants. Ann the House keep was friendly and always willing to give advise and make recommendations. she maintained the property to a very high standard with the pool cleaned every day and the towels and bed linen changed regulary.

Fantastisk beliggenhed, superfint hus og god service

Luksusferiehus. Det var en fantastisk ferie, med rigelig plads til fire par i huset, som også tillod privatliv. Skønt poolområde (poolen dyb - 145-300 cm) og perfekt grillområde. Vi brugte meget tid der. Der er en helt fantastisk udsigt over havet fra hele ejendommen. Dejligt at der er afkølede gulve i huset. Det sikrer en fin temperatur, også at sove i. Huset og omgivelserne er meget velplejede, takket være fantastiske Ann og hendes mand. Der har været en meget fin kommunikation med ejeren Inger Marie, som også har gjort processen med at leje en fornøjelse. Galatasområdet fint og tur med taxabåd til Poros kan absolut anbefales. Også indlandet af Poros er fint. Vores unge mennesker lejede ATVér og kajakker. Snorklet ved The sunken city ved Epidavros. Eneste minus er at der ved næsten alle strande er høj musik. Var en tur i Epidaurus aintient theatre og se en forestilling. Det var en stor oplevelse med den fantastiske lyd i det ca. 3000 år gamle amfiteater. En ferie vi ikke ville hjem fra :-)

Amazing Villa Elina with great view.

One week was not enough, we loved the house, Galatas and the people. We would've loved to stay longer. The villa was amazing with great view, outdoor area and clean pool. Ann and her husband did everything to make you feel welcome. Our favorite restaurant was the local one at Poros Marina, max. 5 minutes walk from the villa. We do also fall in love with the barbecue area. Highly recommended, everything was perfect.

En fait la maison est encore plus belle que sur les photos! Ann, la gestionnaire sur place, s'occupe de tout et elle nous a même préparé un excellent repas. A beautiful, extremely well appointed villa with fabulous views and perfect for entertaining

We stayed at Villa Elia for 9 days but wished we could have spent longer here. Upon arrival everything was in immaculate order, and Ann the housekeeper provided us with a very warm welcome and a surprise traditional Greek buffet along with wine for us and soft drinks for the kids. There is honestly nothing missing from the house, and indeed the impression arriving through the electric private gate and driving up the long paved driveway is one of quality and exclusivity. The villa feels more like being on a private estate. We were alone for the first few days, but later Inger and Arvid arrived and were on hand to answer any queries. Ann was always around with her husband Vassily, and we bumped into her (with spookily increasing frequency - Trueman Show style) whenever we were out shopping in nearby Galatas, where she was always happy to help. The swimming pool and BBQ complex areas of the villa are much larger than they appear on the photos, and the quality of the landscape, planting and paving is excellent. Others have commented that the nearby beaches are not on the beautiful side, and that's certainly not an exaggeration. However nearby Poros is simply gorgeous, and we took a boat across every day for walks, dinner and trips to the ruins and the monastery opposite which you can view in pole position from the property. A hint from anyone making the trip to the monastery, it is now habited by 3-monks once again, and closed between midday and 5pm, visitors need to have covered limbs, and heads and skirts (for women), although going when it was closed allowed us to discover the nearby restaurant 'Olga' which was particularly reasonable with home cooked food. Other restaurants on the island vary in price. We found 'Oasis' quite expensive, but with generous portions, but the 'Garden' restaurant up on one of the winding streets of Poros had huge portions, with a great view at a reasonable price. Poros is great for day trips to many of the surrounding islands of Aegina and Spetses, and its great fun watching the many boats depart across the sea in front of the villa. We'd advise taking warm slippers with you if you feel cold underfoot, only because Inger and Arvid have invested in a such a sophisticated internal cooling system that the house can become quite cold. However Arvid reset the controls for us and we soon found things to our liking. We'd love to return to the property next year, perhaps bringing a few friends to share it with?

Vi kommer igjen!

Vi hadde bestilt og gledet oss til denne turen nesten et år i forveien, og forventningene var høye. Og vi ble ikke skuffet, heller tvert om. Bildene i annonsen yter ikke hus og området rundt, rettferdighet. Dette er den absolutt fineste opplevelsen vi har hatt når det gjelder å leie bolig i ferien. Vannet i bassenget var krystallklart og rent til enhver tid, grillområdet et herlig sted som vi brukte mye. Der tok vi oss pauser fra Hellas brennende sol og kunne slappe av med en bok under overbygget. Den lokale slakteren ble hyppig brukt og flere gode middager laget på de brede grillene. Galatas slår meg som typisk gresk, med turistøya Poros bare knapt et steinkast unna. En euro med båt over sundet, vi besøkte stedet tre ganger i løpet av to uker. Det ble vanskelig å forlate hus og privat basseng, for her hadde vi det som plommen i egget. Ungdommen besøkte strand på Poros to ganger for litt fart og spenning og aktiviteter til vanns. Selv leste jeg en bok daglig og bare nøt mat, drikke og herlig fritid til fulle. Nå kjenner vi stedet bedre og neste gang vi kommer (2019) vil vi nok utforske mer. Sist, men ikke minst, vi savner Ann! Hun og mannen Vasilis holdt hus og område rundt i en utmerket stand. Ann var utrolig snill og hyggelig og inngikk et veddemål med yngstemann om at hvis han klarte å lære seg svømmingens kunst i løpet av ferien skulle han få 10 euro, i motsatt fall måtte han betale henne. Noen dager før hjemreise kom Ann med en innrammet 10-euro seddel i glass og ramme. Nå står den på hylla på gutterommet som en fint minne fra noen flotte dager. For meg som liker å prate og spørre (er journalist) ble Ann en herlig kilde for å lære mer om Hellas og de folkene som bor der. (Noen ganger ble hun nok lengre på jobb enn hun opprinnelig hadde tenkt seg på grunn av at jeg spurte og grov om alt mellom himmel og jord). Takk for at vi fikk leie dette stedet, vi hadde to magiske uker her og kommer igjen. Garantert!

We are Norwegian family that moved to Galatas in June 2015 after 16 years in Athens.

Why they chose this property

We have been sailing a lot in the Saronics and in waters around the island of Poros, and we finally wanted to buy a piece of land that we could develop into a property to suit our preferences. This location in the Peloponnese is nice and especially enjoyable for people with interests involving in the sea and boat life.

What makes this property unique

The location is perfect; it sits in quiet surroundings, yet only 1.5 km away from the towns of Galatas (and Poros Island). The entire property offers amazing panoramic views of ships and sail boats approaching Poros, and with its closeness to the sea you can hear the waves crashing against the shore.

Getting there is easy - it can be reached by car ( 2.5 hrs) from Athens or by ferry boat (1 hr) from Piraeus to Poros Island. Poros island is very accessible as shuttle taxi boats cross between Galatas and Poros every 10 minutes (at around 1.5 euro pp).
