About this property

Taylor House, beautiful views of Lighthouse, Ocean and Brother Jonathan Park

I am a completely restored vacation rental with a wonderful location across the street from Brother Jonathan Park playground with ocean view. I am only 5 minutes from restaurants, breweries, supermarkets, drugstores, banks and more. 15 minutes to the Redwood Parks, beautiful Smith River and the Oregon Border.
I have one master bedroom with en suite bathroom plus one bedroom one bathroom and a sofa bed in the living room all queen size. The living room and the dining room acomodates 6 people very comfortable.
I am dog friendly. I have a large fenced, back yard, large redwood deck for BBQs, plus a greenhouse. From the front porch I can see the ocean and the Battery Point Lighthouse and you can sit and enjoy the amazing sunsets or just walk across the park to the sea view point where you can take the most beautiful pictures. I am a perfect place to watch the Fourth of July fireworks show.

Beautiful house
The house was lovely - great space, great backyard, excellent location near the ocean. Whenever we had questions the property manager answered very quickly. If we go back we'd strongly consider staying there again.

Great house for a few days visiting the Redwoods
Very spacious master bedroom and bath. Loved the fenced in yard for our dog. Kids enjoyed the playground across the street even in the rain! Would recommend.

Lost house keys
Only minor issue was 3 remotes for 1 tv and no instructions. Figured it out on day 3. I ost the keys to the house. Im more than willing to pay for.the keys and recommend an electronic lock so they can change the code when necessary and provide a code instead of keys.

Pros: Nice Location. Nice House. Nice fenced in yard for kids/pets. Right next to the park. Cons: Not ocean view from the house itself. You must walk to other side of the park. Hide a way sofa bed is broken, but they do provide an air mattress to put on the floor. The BBQ provided is un useable, the bottom is rusted out and the briquettes fall threw. Overall was a very nice stay, just plan accordingly.

A clean, well lighted place to unwind and be with family
This house is a secret jewel, as it looks very unassuming from the outside. Once, indoors, the space is welcoming and intelligently set up. We were also one block from the ocean, which I hadn't realized, and just around the curve to knock-out beaches and walking trails. I would love to stay here again.

Trip to the Coast
The Taylor House was perfect. Plenty of space and any and all the amenities you could possibly need were there. We loved the sound of the ocean, the beautiful sunset, the barking seals, and the majestic Redwoods.

The house is very nice. We loved the master shower. Location is good. The only thing we saw that could use some attention is the water ran in the master toilet. It might need a new flapper valve.

Northern California Coast Launch Pad
Great location to reach so many North Coast beaches, lakes, rivers and parks while surrounded by the relaxed community of Crescent City. The host was very responsive. This house has everything you need for a carefree stay. We spent a week in this quiet neighborhood and would gladly return to Taylor House and Maria next time we visit the North Coast. Many great restaurants and all the amenities you need are nearby. Thank you, Maria!

The house had everything that we needed. It is spacious and well-cared for. Loved that we could walk to the ocean. We enjoyed watching the two sunsets while we there. Our host, Maria, was very responsive when we had a question. It was an enjoyable stay.

House and Location were perfect. We wanted to see the Redwoods and the ocean. Jedidiah State Park was our favorite. The ocean was beautiful and there is a good dog beach close by, Crescent Beach. The lighthouse in Crescent City was interesting. It was a perfect size house for the 3 of us and my dog. I would definitely come back to the area and stay here!

We greatly enjoyed our stay. My mother uses a walker and wheelchair. The layout out the house was great for her use. We have stayed twice at a house on the same street, one house over. I thought I had rented that house and was dismayed to find it occupied. The manager responded quickly to my concern and explained I had reserved this other house. My big mistake, worked in our favor. Both houses are great.

The house was perfect; it was incredibly clean, beautiful fenced yard for the dog, walking distance to the ocean. Everything about the house, communicating with Maria before, ease of checking in, it just made our trip to Crescent City a completely relaxing trip!
