Never get tired of the view from the porch! The porch is a great place to relax and hang out any time of the day. Wonderful place for family with folks that want to be on the beach and be close to town and do activities. Woodsy and beachy at the same time. Neighbors are friendly and quiet.
Very quiet neighborhood. House has good views of Lake MI. Beach access just across the street. Go down about 90+ stairs to actually reach the beach, but the view and secluded beach is worth it. Looking forward to our next visit.
This was one of our best VRBO experiences……from the greeting we received at check in to the charming cottage itself. The lake views were amazing and the layout and cleanliness of the cottage was superb! I will definitely book this property again when we return to Holland!
Charming cottage with well equipped kitchen. Lovely lake sunsets can be seen from upstairs bedroom, porch and front room. Easy access to beach by stairs. Nestled in woods so something for the woodsy people as well as beach folks in your group. Has activities for stormy weather, comfortable place to just relax. Nice neighbors, quiet neighborhood. Easy communication with owner, responsive to texts. My family had a wonderful, restful time. Has two parking spots, one for larger vehicle and one for regular vehicle which worked out very well. Can’t wait to come back!
We really enjoyed our stay overall! The house is in a great, peaceful location with close beach access and was stocked with all the necessities we needed for our stay. Property management was always quick to respond to our questions leading up to and during our stay.
We hope to be back in the future!
The location in Holland was great with lots to do, including biking, shopping, and the public beaches. The house is in the woods, with lots of nature and a fairly good view of the lake. Be prepared for the 100 stairs to the beach and single lane, hilly drive. Parking for additional and/or large vehicles is less than ideal. The layout of the house was great. The house is older but a classic Lake Michigan home. Bathrooms are updated. There easily could have been room for two more adults on air mattresses in the upstairs bedroom. It was a bit disappointing that there was not a beach for association members but it was great to have a neighbor that was willing to let us be on their section of beach. Overall, we had a great stay and would go back!
Cottage is updated and was very clean. Macataw realty was amazing, few issues we had were quickly resolved. The cottage is a older but has modern amenities. It has plenty of space for 6+, and woods setting makes it very serene. The yard needs some attention but it has real potential as there are paths and sitting areas throughout.
Only negative, which is not in control of cottage owner, is the lack of beach due to the high levels of lake michigan. Pictures of a few years back show a wide beach, which is mostly gone now but can still walk to Holland State Park or Tunnel Beach for better experience. Also, the modern house across the street, which is really out of place, blocks a lot of the view of the lake.
This "cabin" was squeaky clean when we arrived. We were blown away at how cool the location was - on a cliff overlooking the water. The house had every amenity you could ever want on a trip away from home. The bathrooms are updated and wonderful. The access to the beach was so easy and right out the back deck. We loved our stay and want to come back!
