Michelle is great, at first introduction she made me feel welcome and I felt as if we had known each other.
Her apartment was perfect for my family and I, the beach, the basketball court and the overall location made for a very cool getaway. We loved it and will certainly stay there again 😀
This beautiful and well-maintained Spanish-themed property with flower gardens and lush lawns was a true joy to return home to each day from our explorations of Gig Harbor/Puget Sound. A fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining/living quarters and outdoor patio allowed us to settle easefully into the comfort and leisure of our peninsula life and entertain visiting family with joy and gusto. The owners responded cheerfully and skillfully to inquiries and one small appliance glitch.
This was the perfect property for a reunion of old friends. We used it as a hangout space and as a base of operations for exploring the nearby islands. It is peaceful with beautiful views of the trees and park-like setting. The view of the lagoon is somewhat limited from the apartment, however, it is only a short walk down to the water. The house is lovely and the kitchen has double ovens, dishwasher, full fridge, and excellent cookware and spices etc. The large bathroom with a shower and the half bath were perfect for our needs. The beds are comfortable and we all slept well. We enjoyed sitting out on the lawn chatting with our host Ken. We learned a lot about the area and the marine life in the lagoon from him. We highly recommend this place for friends and family alike.
Michelle & Ken were very accommodating & responsive hosts. We had a wonderful week long stay over Christmas. They even provided a small tree & some holiday decorations.
We had just about everything we needed to feel at home. and the the furnishings were very comfortable & upscale
Beds were comfy, towels & kitchenware were plentiful & the view was lovely!
All in all it was wonderful & we even had snow!
We enjoyed staying at this wonderful home while visiting family in Gig Harbor. The environment was beautiful and peaceful, and we very much hope to return. I consider myself a tough critic, so my top-notch rating of this rental really means that it is terrific in every way!
This property is extremely well taken care of and very charming. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony having coffee in the mornings watching the squirrels in the trees and spent the evenings sitting right on the water. Great stay!
We stay at many VRBO locations and this has been one of the best. Michelle and her husband could not have been more accommodating and the property is excellent in every way. The only drawback for us is that we are seniors and the stairs are always a challenge! HIGHLY recommend this property.
Our stay here has been perfect, down to the last detail. We have a comfortable, expansive, raised deck with a gorgeous view of the surrounding forest and Burley Lagoon in Puget Sound. A short walk of a couple hundred feet gives us beach access along the bay, with frequent views of eagles and blue herons. And the inside decor is beyond charming -- every piece has a uniqueness that carries a magical quality. We have a full kitchen with pantry staples, washer/dryer, and Wifi with a Samsung TV. And the hosts, Ken and Michelle, are extraordinarily welcoming and accommodating. Nearby are beautiful beachwalks at four state parks (Manchester, Penrose, Joemma, and Kopachuck). Definitely five stars.
The house was clean and comfortable and cozy during my winter stay. The hosts were quick to address the one major concern that came up during my extended stay. The location is pretty and quiet, easy to get to, with the minor downside of not much within walking distance. Easy short drives to anything you might need though!
I enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the trees and the bay and overall it was perfect for a quiet getaway.
Looks even better in person! Perfect place to just relax and enjoy the beautiful area. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need.
We stayed at this property a few months ago for our anniversary. We loved it so much that we booked it again for Christmas. Such a relaxing and gorgeous vacation getaway. We look forward to returning again!
We had a wonderful stay with our daughter and two grandchildren for a week getaway. Large kitchen and great room were perfect for dining and gathering and spending times playing games. It’s the little things that make a five year old happy like the basket of sharpie pens that she discovered!! Since it was cold and rainy we didn’t have a chance to enjoy the beautiful veranda.
I am a frequent VRBO renter and this is one of the best properties I have rented in my many years of PNW staycations. It checks off multiple boxes that makes it a memorable gem: a unique property, with cozy and spacious living spaces; a grand kitchen, master bedroom, master bath, and balcony; beauty in the details woven throughout the home; towering evergreens for seclusion; and kind, generous, gracious hosts.
This property comes with an extra special bonus - it is a labor of love by the owners, Ken and Michelle, as they built it themselves. Ken poured the sparkling concrete counters that run throughout the kitchen, grace the floors of the balcony, and are the pathway that lead into the home. So much love and joy here.
My husband and I had the most relaxing anniversary weekend in this luxurious home. We hope to make it our go-to Gig Harbor rental moving forward. There is no need to stay anywhere else. Thank you ever so much for a wonderful weekend, Ken and Michelle!
We had the most magical long weekend at this beautiful property. We checked in on a Thursday, eloped by the water on Friday and honeymooned until Tuesday. Michelle was an absolute gem. So excited for us and her and her husband so accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better time and plan to come back and celebrate the place we got married as often as we can. The guesthouse is beautiful. The views stunning and the gorgeous waterfront just steps away.
We look forward to coming back soon!
Beautiful property in a perfect location. You have access to the water and a short drive to downtown Gig Harbor. The check in process was easy, all questions were answered right away by the owners. Definitely would rent this again!
