Traveling with two families, this location fit us all perfectly. It was a winter wonderland for our visit, but I imagine the lake would be beautiful in the summer as well. The kitchen had everything we needed, there was more than enough sleeping arrangement options, the owner went out of her way to make sure we were safe in the snow storm...all around, a great find!
The house was great with modern and spacious rooms and the location was amazing. Convenient to several ski locations and beautiful views sitting in the middle of a lake with water all around. Spectacular.
House is ideally located on the peninsula with views in every direction. Everything was perfect and we would definitely stay again. This was our 2nd stay at this house.
The owners are great, very responsive and welcoming. We have stayed several times and the home gets more comfortable each year. The lake is gorgeous and in a beautiful part of Vermont.
Best property on lake Eden , the house on the peninsula really Is the perfect spot to relax .
From the fully stocked kitchen to the fantastic master bath/shower this home is a step above and so clean
Shoe free beautiful hard wood floors and windows that have lake views from every angle.

Everything we'd hoped for!
The house is just as it looks in the photos. Clean comfortable, and spacious with wonderful views. We took the kayaks out on the lake each day, fires next to the lake at night. The area is very peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay. Stowe is about a 20-30 minute drive and definitely recommend biking the recreation path. We stayed for 3 full days but plan to come back next year for a full week!
This house was beautiful, immaculate and very well stocked. The views--colorful foliage reflected in the water--were amazing. Every window had a view. The wood floors were gorgeous and the shower for the master bedroom is very high end. The "on demand" hot water was quick to appear and lasted as long as desired. Details--toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, trash bags--were all there in generous supply; nothing had to be purchased. The country store in Eden has all the food supplies we could possibly want; they even have a deli and they will make meals on demand (their bacon cheeseburger is really good!). The heated floor on the main level is really nice--no cold feet there.
Books, puzzles and games were all available in quantity. This is a fantastic, classy place for a getaway. We highly recommend it.
Our stay was truly a wonderful experience. It was our first vacation as a family and with a 2 year old and 4 year old that is no small feat. Communication was wonderful and every question we had was answered in a timely manner. So many “little” things made this stay so much easier like linens hand soap and games for our kids. The pack and play was a lifesaver in getting our 2 year old to sleep when I forgot our own. Absolutely recommend this wonderful lake house as a getaway for the whole family or couple. Our kids were already planning our next trip there before we even left.
My husband and I loved this home for a number of reasons. 1) Hollie was great and answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner, 2) it was the best location for us because we had family staying at the campground and we could paddle across to visit, 3) the house was clean, beautiful, and modern - I wasn't looking for a "cabin", 4) Eden Lake is the perfect lake!! We are already planning for next year!
Firstly, for those who don't read the whole review, yes I would definitely stay here again. The house is beautiful with huge glass doors and windows overlooking the lake. It is just 30 minutes to the town of Stowe as well as some other towns, hikes, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed (even a slow cooker!) and communication with the hosts was great, always quick to respond to my questions. We came in the winter and the road and driveway were plowed (though the road is a bit rough). We also found a restaurant, Blackbird Bistro, that was a bit closer than some others and had amazing cocktails and good food and was a pleasant surprise. There was more than enough room for our crew of 4 adults and 1 toddler, could easily have had more people.

Lake Eden
Lovely home right on the water. In the past, we have stayed at houses that were more "rustic camps". This is truly a fully functional clean home with grill, laundry, wi-fi, etc. - except it's surrounded on both sides by water. Water was a little busy on the w/e, but much better during the week. Close to Stowe & mountains. Fishing was OK - plenty of pumpkinseeds off the dock to keep kids entertained. Lots of water to explore nearby. Overall, the nicest house that we've stayed at by far.
with August closing out, we decided to take a last minute getaway to VT. what a lovely cottage! this home is clean, airy, well appointed, and right on the water. loon calls greeted us as soon as we pulled into the driveway; later, while kayaking up the lake, we saw a pair of bald eagles fishing. the fire pit, kayaks, paddle board, and a plethora of board games turned our visit into a perfect little getaway for the teens and grandparents. i so enjoyed starting the day with coffee on the deck overlooking the lake and ending it making smores with the kids while gazing up at the milky way. I was a little surprised some road noise carried across the lake from RT 100, at least a quarter mile away, but it was not very loud; i think i've just got super sensitive hearing. otherwise this was a dreamy way to end the summer. Thank you Hollie!

Wonderful property in a beautiful setting
This property exists on a peninsula on a beautiful lake in the Northeast Kingdom. Not only is the property right on the lake, but because you're on the peninsula, there is water on both sides of the house. My two toddler girls had plenty of space (the house is quiet large) to spread out inside the house, but also had a large deck that overlooked the water and loved watching the boats go by. The house comes complete with 2 kayaks as well. My daughters enjoyed kayaking across the lake to the campground on the other side to go on the swings and slides.
We also spent a few days just floating around right off the dock where we did plenty of fishing as well. The kitchen is spacious and all conveniences were there for us to cook in the morning and evenings. The screened-in porch was the perfect spot for dinner as well. The breeze that comes through the whole house was amazing.
My only recommendation to the owner would be to get a few cabinets so you can unpack your clothes into. Other than that the place was perfect for us. We would highly recommend it.
The property is beautiful and so serene. The house has every amenity necessary provided. There are water views from almost every room in the house. The dock provided endless hours of swimming, paddling, and fishing form our family. We enjoyed campfires almost every night with clear skies to check out the stars.
An amazing place to rest and relax and enjoy time together. Thanks to Hollie for sharing! She was great to work with as a host.
We've been to the lake many times and this stay was one of the best. The location was perfect with views from every room. The house is virtually new with everything in tip top condition.
Thank you Holly for hosting us at such a wonderful house and being such a responsive host! We have vacationed at many houses over the years but the Eden house was the best. Everything was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. Even the fire pit had nice seasoned wood! Being able to run off the dock and jump into the water was so much fun, along with kayaking and paddle boarding. My daughter loved reading in the 3-season room with a beautiful breeze coming through the screens. Starting my day with a cup of tea looking at the lake was very relaxing. Pretty much every room in the house has a gorgeous view of the lake.
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this lake front property in Eden, VT. The house was clean and spacious and included all the necessary amenities. All 3 bedrooms have lake views. The kitchen/living room is quite large (with plenty of seating) and has a nice view of the lake. The description of the property was accurate. We would highly recommend this place to others!
Our family absolutely loved our stay at this home!! Everything you could need right at your fingertips. The weather did not cooperate but we had plenty of space indoors to relax and enjoy each other’s company. I’m sure we will visit again!!
Hollie is such a wonderful host and was very kind and helpful. The house is just as perfect as you can imagine- clean and well-stocked, lots of space, great decor, an unparalleled view on every side of the house, kayaks/paddle boards/canoes and a private dock for endless lake fun, and the fire pit outdoors. We had the very best time and could not have asked for a better stay.
Good stay, a few odd things I noticed. Mainly internet is awful and can't support what is advertised. Otherwise beautiful house, and the lake access is nice. Quick drop off though for people renting with young kids.
This was a lovely house built perfectly for entertaining and relaxing. I loved the screened in porch especially. Eden is a friendly community. The lake accommodates plenty of room for kayakers, paddle boarders and motor boats. Being on a peninsular, the house had water views on both sides.

About the host
Hosted by Hollie Parker-Winzenread
Hollie was born and raised in nearby Johnson, Vermont and spent many enjoyable summers on Lake Eden. Her roots in Eden date back to before the Civil War.
Why they chose this property
Hollie, Rusty and their son Christian vacationed in this house and liked it so much that they bought it! The house was designed and built in 2013 with pride by the previous owner. It is light and spacious and provides all the creature comforts you need for a relaxing and memorable vacation. We hope you enjoy being here as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
Located on Lake Eden ( Depth Charts Of Vt Lakes and scroll to Eden Lake) , one of Vermont's most pristine lakes, which is shaped line an "H". The front side is more active for motor boats and the back side more conducive to paddling although they are interchangeable. This house is located close to the end of the peninsula on a gentle sloping lot to the water (no need for stairs to the water!). The dock, open living room and primary bedroom face west over the front side of the lake and the open kitchen looks over the accessible back side of the lake. The screened in 3 season room has views of both sides of the lake. The open concept living area and primary bedroom are all on the first floor which makes it comfortable for guests with ambulation limitations.
