We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at this beautiful home! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and the amazing energy of the place. The house itself is gorgeous, with every detail thoughtfully designed to enhance the experience. The location couldn’t have been more perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and do, yet still felt like a private retreat. This home truly made our vacation one to remember. We can’t wait to come back!
This place will meet all of your Midcentury Modern dreams. From the sunken living room to the various wood grain & early 70s details to the wall-to-wall picture windows looking out on those classic LA hills dotted with various architectural gemstones. To top it all off, you’re solidly in one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city with no shortage of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. At most it’s about 45 minutes to most other LA sights and landmarks. If it’s available, do yourself a favor and book this super cool house for yourself or you and your number one sweetheart.
This is lovely house with a clever multi-level, open organization, a true three dimensional planning concept. Wonderful balcony with great sunsets. The decor is authentic to the period and nicely curated. Full marks!
My husband and I had a wonderful time in this Silver Lake home.
The house was truly like a mid century modern Original home. No fake copies - all the architecture and furnishing were totally real and on-point. Very spacious for 2 guests and we both had places to work.
We loved the neighborhood so much too. Only drawback back with the home was that everything was very old - appliances/ furnishings/fixtures and we were a little afraid we would break something. We didn't even attempt to cook because the stove was so old and fragile.
That being said - this was a very cool home and we enjoyed our stay very much.
We absolutely loved the house from the moment we walked up the steps. The house itself is both beautifully designed and comfortable. It is well stocked with almost everything you could need in the kitchen, making it a really home away from home. The views from the front over the hills is stunning, especially nice at sunset. Bruce was very responsive to our questions and I can't recommend him and this place enough.
This place is a well-maintained architectural masterpiece and well worth a visit. It really is only one bedroom and one bathroom, so best for two adults or less. Also, 30 steps from street level to reach the entrance, so this place may not be appropriate for individuals with physical handicaps.
We loved staying here and especially enjoyed the front deck with the fabulous view.
We stayed at Bruce’s wonderful mid-century modern house while visiting with our son who lives in Silver Lake also. As noted before, we loved sitting on the front deck and having our breakfast and coffee in the morning after our 4-5 mile walks in the wonderful neighborhoods. The house is close to grocery stores and restaurants. Bruce was a great host, and very responsive to any questions and problems. We are sorry that the home is not available for Thanksgiving when we return to LA again!
My partner and I stayed at Bruce's place for a working vacation in LA. It was perfect for our needs - very comfortable and homey (with some amazing vintage stylings by Bruce!). It has an office and lots of little nooks for working, plus an incredible view. It is centrally located and was a great spot to unwind after a long day of work. Highly recommend.
Awesome home, exquisitely appointed, great location. So close to the action in Silverlake but in a super quiet neighborhood to “reset” from city life.
