Very fun unique home with private river access. 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home, with plenty of room, full kitchen, laundry room, living room with fireplace and a flat screen TV. HD washer and dryer in laundry room. This property has an outside BBQ area with gas cooktop, grill, and fire pit. Very close to Criders, the famous Rodeo and Dance Hall and LaHacienda. Wi-Fi. Master bedroom has one king bed, and large master bath. Bedroom 2 has two twin beds, one full bed and bath with claw foot tub. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds.
The property does have river access. You have to cross a two lane road to get to the river. The waterfront is directly across the road from the house with concrete steps leading to the concrete landing and river. The water is roughly 4 feet deep in some places and shallow enough in other spots to put your lounge chair.

So lovely and eclectic !! Loved the decor and proximity to the water (I took a chilly November dip!) The house was beautiful, but our really highlight was the forewoman Teri. She was so kind and cool and helpful. We hope to come back soon :)
We very much enjoyed our stay, I would describe the house as more of a camp house, very rustic but very charming classic hill country style and comfortable. We very much enjoyed all the outdoor spaces and spent most of our trip outside, playing volleyball in the nice lawn and around the fire pit. The river is down a steep set of stairs but it’s nice and shady, perfect for lounging! I think it would be a great place for larger families with kids. Only recommendation would be a couple of night lights and the light in the outdoor kitchen needs replacing!
This home was a great place for family and friends to gather. We celebrated my daughter's birthday with a weekend stay here. The lawn was lovely, even in the Texas heat. There is a nice outdoor gathering space with a grill. We didn't use it because we were in the Texas heat, but it would be great in milder months. The indoor gathering space was nice as well with a bar in a room all to itself. We spent some comfy time watching television in the den as well. The kitchen and breakfast area was very spacious and perfect for a birthday gathering. The master bedroom was very nice.

Needs some major updating
The house needs some major updating. The furniture was very old and the 2 recliners looked very old and dirty. The screen on the screen door was ripped, so we needed to make sure that the other door was shut so wasps didn't get inside. You have to walk across the street to access the river. It was OK for fishing, but not for swimming. We had to go further down the river to swim. For the amount of money we paid for the 3 nights, I was very disappointed.
Bigger & nicer inside & outside than the photos. A great break from city life in scenic hill country. River is gorgeous and fun to walk in. Deer, trees, and a beautiful show by the stars at night.
House was wonderful! Easy access to a private river area. The pictures don’t do this booking any justice! Great outdoor area where we were able to cook, play cards, and sit around the fire and have drinks! We will definitely be back!
Very interesting home. Owner and caretaker were very nice. The home was unique. Only problem was our group was composed of all seniors and the home would be great for a younger crowd. I would highly recommend it if that is the case.
Myself, my husband and 3 friends came down for the weekend. We had a wonderful time and just relaxed. Lots of room to spread out. We built a fire in the fire pit and drank wine and just laughed. Thank you to the Muncie's and to Harley!
The property is very unique. It was pretty old and rustic. But that is what was advertised so I can’t complain. The inside was more rustic then I’d prefer with taxidermy and tin walls. I was concerned for our safety as I
, as a lady alone was responsible for The teenagers and the house had multiple entries. Again, this is just my concerns as the add was clear of its rustic ness. It res overall clean with some cob webs and older, beat up furniture. The grounds keeper Harley was always available if we needed him and super nice!
Frankly we were very disappointed. The property was not clean at all - at least to our standards. There were cobwebs everywhere. The sink in the bathroom next to kitchen was disgusting, looked like it was 50 years old and needs to be replaced. We encountered both live and dead roaches and spiders throughout our stay. The river access was overgrown and unkempt. Tree limbs prevented any sun coming through at all. I would not rent or recommend this property.
