The house was the perfect location for us. It was a quick ride to the beach and to the ferry to Edgartown. My family walked to Blackbird cafe and Chappy store daily. It had everything we needed and lots of games for the kids. Hope to stay again next year!
The house was great. Love how it’s tucked in the woods. King bed was comfortable. I did not try others. Screened porch was great. Wish I could’ve spent more time there. Jessica was a great host. Thank you.
This property is just as advertised, pictures do not do the outside area justice. We stayed with our 2 dogs and it was the perfect base for relaxing on Chappy. Property is very private but close to Edgartown, beaches and numerous walking trails. Communication with the property owner was amazing and pretty much instantaneous.
We would definitely recommend this listing to anybody.
This home is lovely, and Jess' attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness is simply wonderful. This was our first time staying on Chappy, and we had an unforgettable week. There are many spots to relax inside and outside the home, and our pup loved the property. I'd love to go back!

Well-maintained home, minutes from beach
This is a great home for a family vacation or reunion. We traveled with 4 children, ranging between 4 mo and 12 years, and 4 adults. We were delighted to find kids' toys, puzzles and games. There is plenty of space (and several bathrooms) for a comfortable stay. The screened porch was our favorite place to gather for meals and cocktails. The pictures accurately reflect the property and the amenities suited all our needs. We had plenty of flatware, wine glasses, and cookware for meals and BBQs. The outdoor shower was a huge hit after long beach days and we loved the big backyard. The internet worked without a hitch, saving us on rainy days, and the house was very clean. Thank you! See you again next summer.

About the host
Hosted by Jessica Sankey
We love the beach life and immersing ourselves in the wild sandplains of Chappy. Unplugging is at the center of our time on the island, but we also understand the value of a work-life-leisure balance and recently upgraded our internet to accommodate those looking to work remotely while enjoying time away from the grind.
I'm the daughter of the original owner and grew up spending summers on the island. Chappaquiddick is dear to my heart and provides much-needed respite and ocean breezes when my family needs a break. I'm a science teacher in Vermont and I live and play in the high hills of Vermont. My kids and I love all adventures outside, we are avid skiers and bikers, and as soon as the snow melts we make frequent trips to Chappy to put out feet in the sand and work on house projects.
Why they chose this property
You'll love the porches, breezes, open layout, and big backyard. The ocean air sweeps in from the NE corner of the house every day. Crack the master bedroom window and enjoy a salt air wake up to start your day. We have reliable locals who clean the house, and a trusted caretaker on Chappaquiddick who remain on-call should anything arise during your stay. Cleanliness is of utmost importance, so you can relax and focus on settling into an island rhythm.
What makes this property unique
Unbeatable star gazing; quiet; lots of crickets; comfortable hammock; outdoor shower; gentle breezes to warm, cool, and nurture your soul.
