Relaxing and Refreshing

This was the perfect house for our girls weekend getaway. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate everyone. The porch bed swing and the game table (where we played lots of mahjong) made for a perfect retreat. The directions were spot on, and were easy to follow despite some missing street signs. The only drawback were the neighborhood roads which were quite rough, so pay attention to the potholes!. All in all, a beautiful house with a fabulous layout, in a beautiful area! Would definitely stay there again!

The house was beautiful and we loved being tucked into the trees. We could easily cook in the kitchen and on the grill. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub. Perhaps everyone's favorite was spending time out on the swinging porch bed! The house was close to fun hikes and good food. All around it was the perfect place to celebrate!

Fantastic Place!

This property is wonderful. The layout gave everyone their own place for some respite while the well appointed kitchen allowed everyone to congregate without tripping over eachother. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the beds very comfortable. The game room upstairs provided entertainment for the kids giving them their own space. The view is serene and lovely.

We brought out the turtle box and jammed to tunes while lounging in the hot tub! The beds were so comfortable and one night it rained on the tin roof. Talk about good sleeping. The shabby chic decor was a nice touch for a rustic type cabin! We look forward to coming back!

A Great Place to Stay--Family and Pet Friendly

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful vacation at the Lightning Bug Lodge. Plenty of room for everyone and lots of outdoor space to enjoy! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need and two washers and dryers to manage all the laundry. Beds were comfortable and firm, and the bathrooms were beautiful and relaxing. The house provided baby gates, which was very helpful. A built in gate at the top of the stairs to protect little ones from potentially falling, and an extra gate in the laundry room that was usable to keep them from going up the stairs inside or down the stairs on the porch outside. The property is closer to the North end of Hochatown, with lots of new restaurants and fun things to do, but only 5-10 minutes from Grateful Head and the Animal Rescue Center. The neighborhood was very nice and we enjoyed walking around. Coffee and candy/ ice cream store and restaurants were about 1/2 mile away and walkable or drivable. We would definitely stay here again.

Spacious and Sunny

We just returned from a lovely stay at Lightning Bug. We especially loved the 4 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The showers were all beautifully appointed. Everyone felt comfortable and had plenty of space. Response from management was prompt and polite. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Each cabin has been great but, I must say Lightening Bug is our favorite. The staff that runs this property were very helpful and easy to reach at any time. The only issue we had the entire time was a missing foosball :)) staff immediately resolved. This was our first time renting through Lakewood Luxury Cabins and I believe it was our best overall experience.

Wonderful Easter at Lightning Bub Lodge!!

It was perfect for our group. The decor was beautiful, the kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable, and the game room was a hit with adults, teens, and kids. The bunk beds in the playroom and the swinging bed on the second deck were all great. It was the best time to go to Broken Bow because the weather and fishing were perfect. The hot tub was very clean and set at the right temperature. Everyone gave the house and surrounding area 5 stars!!!

Gorgeous and luxurious- yet comfortable for our 4 grandchildren. We loved every bit of our stay. We were supposed to go out to eat on Saturday night but decided we had a much better atmosphere at the cabin so we picked up food and stayed in. We had no Internet when we arrived so I emailed that night because it wasn’t an emergency by any means, and I actually received an email back that evening that somebody would be by in the morning to fix it and they were. A couple of suggestions for the future would be if the management company could have a highchair or a porta crib available ahead of time. We have stayed at many cabins and this was the first one that did not offer that so we had to pack those which are large things to travel with. Also directions on how to run the television remotes would’ve been helpful. I downloaded the app, but could not find that information. Fortunately, I am somewhat tech savvy, so was able to figure it out once they came and reset the router for Internet. Those are mere suggestions and would never keep me from coming back to stay at this gorgeous home. My entire family loved it and begged for us to come again, and we definitely will! We even saw some beautiful deer on Saturday morning! Communication with management throughout was top notch and the house appeared to be brand new it was in impeccable condition! we spent so much time outside as the weather was beautiful and all of us said it reminded us of Colorado! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

The night we arrived, there was a really bad storm that knocked down all the patio lights. The property management company was amazingly responsive and had everything back up and working the next day. We had everything we needed and cooked our own meals most of the week. Overall, we had a fabulous time!

Great relaxing stay!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and it had all the amenities that we could possibly need. The hot tub was amazing and we really enjoyed relaxing in it. The cabin is located at the perfect location and easily accessible with only 2 entry steps to the main level. This was very helpful for us as we have a handicap family member. He had no issues getting in and around the cabin which was a huge blessing. Thank you so much for the amazing stay!
