About this property
Cozy Belmopan Home - Family Friendly
Enjoy our home while we travel. This is an original Belmopan home built in the early 1970’s. We recently renovated to keep the façade while upgrading the inside of the home to modern standards.
We opted to keep some of the quirks of the original house like the pull string lights and unplastered interior walls.
The Space:
We have a large backyard with a clothesline, a picnic table and a small barbecue grill that guests are welcome to use. Staying with us is indeed ‘living like the locals’. Our neighbors are ordinary people and that is part of the charm of our home.
A majority of the furniture in the house is locally made from exotic Belizean hardwood including Cabbage bark, Zericote, Jobillo, Granadillo, and Prickle Yellow.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the bedroom/s, living room, dining area, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and the entire yard. Single or double occupancy can choose between a bedroom with a double bed or one with a trundle that has two single beds. If the reservation is for three or four persons, guests will have access to both bedrooms for a total of three beds.
Guest Interaction:
Limited physical interaction but we're available if needed. We can provide assistance in case of an emergency or if there's the need for any additional information.
Things To Note:
Privacy and security are important to us. Our yard is completely fenced. Motion sensor lights activate along the sidewalk and by the front door. One of our neighbors to the left has two Bullmastiff dogs who are great watchdogs and warn of movement on the street and in the yard.
High speed, secure WiFi in the house and yard.
Cable TV and Netflix are available in the living room and the bedroom. Hot & cold water with great water pressure are available throughout the house. Coffee maker, French press, and coffee are available. Distilled water is provided. You can also make use of our Washer & Dryer and feel free to use our pots & pans.
The AC works best at cooling the entire house when all windows and both the front and back kitchen door are closed. Please make sure these are closed whenever the AC is turned on.
Neighborhood:
We are centrally located and are within walking of restuarants, the George Price Center, Brodies Supermarket, the Sir George Brown Park, and the Catholic, Nazarene, and Baptist Churches. A local supermarket is only a couple minutes walk away, and our location makes food deliveries easy.
