This was a perfect spot for our little family getaway. We were in town for the flea market which was just minutes from the house. The house itself was clean and homey. Although it was a busy weekend with lots of people around, there is good privacy with lots of trees and the outdoor setting was great! The only thing I would say needs attention are the ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms. When turned on, they did not seem very secure (lots of rattling and shaking out of the norm…the living room fan was fine) so we did not use them, which made it a bit stuffy upstairs. Other than that, would highly recommend Buttercreek Cabin!
The 3 bedrooms were all comfortable and the kitchen was very well equipped. We were able to enjoy meals there before and after hiking each day. A nice place and value. Thank you.
Kitchen is very well equipped. back deck is spacious and private. Beds all pretty comfortable. Nice fire pit with lots of fire wood. Lots of games. professionally run with good communication. Easy access to east entrance to Mount Reiner National Park. Happy stay 😀
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Plenty of space inside and out, and convenient to the southeast and southwest entrances of the national park. Kitchen was stocked well and plenty of towels to go around. We loved the back yard!
The house was clean and comfortable. Lots of kitchen towels and wash cloths, as well as lots of bath towels. We liked the creek access behind the house.
We stayed at this home while skiing at White Pass. It was very comfortable in most ways, although the mattresses upstairs could use an upgrade. The directions were very clear and everything went smoothly. When I had a problem starting the dishwasher the response was immediate and helpful. I recommend this home.
Comfortable, cozy, clean cabin. Great stay with family for ski trip. Already rebooked for our next ski trip. Thank you for the great accommodations. We loved it and had an amazing trip. Can’t wait for our next one.
This is the perfect place if you want to be close to town amenities and skiing White Pass. Nice big kitchen as we love to cook a big meal after a full ski day. This home had a carport which was a lifesaver as it snowed a ton. Two things we really enjoyed.. master on main level and the house was extremely easy to heat. We will be making this our homebase for future trips. Oh... The property management group gets an A++ for all the help they provided. Top notch!
This was our base camp for 2 days of skiing at White Pass. Plenty of space for our family of 4. Kitchen was well stocked. Upgraded Smart TV in living room was a nice surprise. Lots of board games and DVDs on hand. The master king bed was too saggy for our liking (tired memory foam?), sloping to the center. And we could have used a snow shovel to clear the porch entry, so as not to track snow inside. Overall it was a pleasant stay in a quiet area.
This home felt like a home. We cooked our meals and the kitchen was fully stocked! Beds after a day of hiking were so comfortable. Listening to the creek in the back was relaxing. Huge deck!! I would recommend handrails at front entrance and deck steps...i did fine at 59 but my 75 year old sister struggled. All in all I hope to be back to Mt Ranier and stay right here again.
We met our family for an early Christmas at Butter Creek. We had a blast playing games and hanging out. The house had plenty of room for us and had plenty of space for us. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a group in town for car races, so we didn't have much down time to enjoy the property and amenities. Still, it was a great place to come back and hang out in the evenings. We walked down to the river, made a campfire, cooked some marshmallows. Rooms and kitchen were nice and spacious. Lots of clean towels, and we had everything we needed. Plenty of parking. Board games. It would be a great place for a family with time to enjoy the space!

Overall -clean and well kept but in need of some TLC
Overall the house was well kept and clean but there were things that needed to be improved. For example, the mattress in the main bedroom on the ground level needs to be replaced as it was not supportive and was hard on your back the next morning. The Microwave is also in need of a handle and was difficult to open and close. Some of the fixtures are loose and need to be better secured to the wall. For example, the coat rack in the upper bedroom to the right of the bathroom was not secured to the wall and kept wanting to come loose.
Thanks for taking the right corrective action to fix these issues. We loved the area and would consider coming back.

Christmas in Packwood
We had a great time at this cabin away from home for Christmas. Very clean and well taken care of, kitchen had everything needed for cooking a Christmas dinner. Cozy evening in front of the wood stove. Very peaceful place to come and relax and rest away from the crazy city. Also close enough to White Pass to go play for the day. Thank you so very much for letting us stay.

Peaceful location
The place was really well set up and very clean. The 3 bedrooms were big with comfortable beds and 2 nice modern bathrooms. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. The outside space was very peaceful, nicely set up for a fire and to just sit while listening to the creek. The owners responded quickly when we had a question. Plenty of space for 8 people.

Beautiful home in the woods
Thanks for sharing your lovely home on Butter creek, it fit all our needs for a family gathering. Labor day weekend in Packwood is the swap meet and staying here at the cabin in the woods made it very convenient to spend 2 days at the swap meet. Beds are very comfortable and having a small group here with 2 bathrooms was sweet. We enjoyed our stay very much.
