Enjoy the charming atmosphere of this one-bedroom carriage house nestled on the prettiest street in Beaufort. This cozy apartment is a separate structure on the property of the historic John Rumley House, circa 1854. Sit on the patio under the canopy of a pecan tree, meander past the beautifully restored pre-revolutionary and antebellum homes, or take a short stroll to the waterfront. No need for a car as this location is within a leisurely walk to all areas in downtown Beaufort. This includes the ferries that will take you to Carrot Island, Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. No need to bother with downtown parking meters.
Inside the house there is an open living-kitchen area with one bedroom and a full bathroom. There are no stairs to navigate on this property, and beautiful tile floors make for easy transitions.
The master has a queen-size bed with exquisite all cotton bedding and ample dresser and closet space. A full bath comes complete with all cotton towels and and assortment of toiletries for your convenience. A full-size pull-out, in the living area, can accommodate one or two more guests.
A fully stocked kitchen will enable easy meal times or, if you rather, refer to the guest information book to choose a restaurant downtown. If you like to grill, there are several, including a smoker, at your disposal. An outside patio with chairs, umbrella, and cafe lights set the scene for your outdoor enjoyment.
Both on and off street parking is available.
Beach chairs can be made available for use.

Fun in Beaufort

This property was very nice and clean. We enjoyed the outdoors also with all the cooking grills and all the lawn furniture ,the sun and the shade and it was very nice indoors with the huge sliding glass doors. It made the room feel larger than it actually was ,it was a learning experience also ,someone had the heat on so I had to learn to use the digital thermostat ,but it worked well after we figured it out ,lol lol ,will stay again ,also was a quiet ,peaceful neighborhood !

Cozy guest home in historic Beaufort!

Jim was an excellent host and allowed me to check-in a little early. I love Beaufort, NC and so the location was super convenient for walking around Beaufort. The guest house itself is ideal for single people or couples and the interior design screams coastal living! I would recommend this rental to anyone and plan to stay again next time I’m in the area.

Quiet neighborhood walking distance to town

This cottage is perfect for two people. Very comfortable and clean. So nice to have use of beach chairs and umbrella. There are also bikes to use. A relaxing, peaceful vacation!

Cottage was adorable, clean & had all the necessities; dishware, cups, silverware, pots & pans, Keurig, clean sheets & bedding. Bed was very comfortable. Plenty of towels. Side by side Refrigerator, clean modern bathroom. Air Conditioning. The grounds the cottage is on is beautifully manicured. We had a patio right off the sliding glass door with a table & 4 chairs & brand new umbrella. Grills were also on site.Free on street parking;( it’s pay to park at waterfront area), 10 minute walk to the boardwalk in Beaufort with the gorgeous water front and all the restaurants, shops, cruise’s & historic cites you could want to explore. All that at a reasonable price for all that you get. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Beautiful place close to everything

The guesthouse was clean, well-stocked, and walkable to the sweet downtown waterfront. The waterfront is about five blocks long and one block deep with amazing restaurants and food options. The grocery store is a quick drive away. The owners are very responsive. The towels are thick and soft. The bed was not very comfortable for us. With everything else so perfect, that stuck out, so I scored our stay a 4, but that would not stop us from returning. We did wish the outside patio had an umbrella or some type of shade when sitting on the patio.

Peaceful perfect location

Lovely cottage just a block back from the waterfront in Beaufort; the kitchen is nicely stocked and the patio is perfect for morning coffee (although it's also an easy walk to good coffee shops).

This was the perfect place for a long weekend getaway! Jim and his family (of course including the cutest dogs ever) were the perfect hosts. They made our stay so comfortable. The property is conveniently located in the heart of Beaufort, within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the waterfront. There is ample street parking. The unit was very clean, and it is larger in person than the photos represent. We had a very comfortable stay and would stay there again!

Perfect Beaufort Getaway

Such a hidden gem. We loved our stay at this little cottage. It was clean, comfortable and surprisingly big enough for our family of 4 for the long weekend trip. If you love the historic homes of Beaufort, you will love the location of this property.
