Great Family Birthday Celebration

We had a wonderful family long weekend at Michele’s beautiful home in the Hudson Valley. We were there to celebrate the birthdays of my husband, son, and grandson. The house was comfortable and well equipped to make meals. Michele the host couldn’t be more responsive. There are many great hikes and wineries close by. This was a 5 star expereince enjoyed by all.

Superb Vacation Home

This property was spectacular. Immaculately clean and every detail done well. From a fully stocked and ready to go kitchen, to comfortable beds, sheets and towels. I’ll be back to stay here again and the host Michelle couldn’t have done more. Having had a few disappointing stays in other properties of late, this was a welcome game changer!!!

Holiday reunion

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. Even though the weather was great, with a hot tub and recreation room, we all had much fun. The kitchen was well stocked with all the pots and knives. We cooked every day together and played games. I highly recommend it for a family reunion.

Beautiful August in New Paltz

My family (husband and 12 year-old daughter) rented Michele's beautiful home for four weeks in August as a complete getaway from the city. My daughter also had a friend up and her dad came for a bit, too; there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own comfortable space--it was great! We made great use of the hot tub and the girls loved the indoor pool and air hockey. I cooked multiple times on the big grill and we loved eating outside. It was a lovely, homey space to have as a home away from home. The surrounding area is also amazing. We took easy hikes in Minnewaska State Park and in the Mohonk Preserve. We ate in really great and fun restaurants in High Falls and Tillson. We went to the farmstand 10 min down the road every day. I was very familiar with other parts of the Hudson Valley but staying at Michele's made me fall in love with the area. We will definitely be back!

Nice place for a vacation

House was great. Very “lived in” vacation home rather than “pristine” dedicated rental. That’s why I rated it a 4 rather than a 5. Perfect for families with young kids. Large master BR with attached bath. Powerful shower with instant hot water. Big kitchen/dining area. Comfortable furniture in the living room and tv room. Outside was mostly artificial turf and a bocce court. Could have been nicer but it was fine. Large outdoor dining table with grill. Great location on top of a hill surrounded by the woods. The host was very responsive to all my questions and always answered soon after my submission.

Incredible home and location

The home is incredible and is located so close to New Paltz, hiking, waterfalls, rock climbing, shopping… I could go on and on. We took a short drive to Woodstock and did some shopping and eating there as well. Owners were quick to respond to any questions! Highly recommend!

Excellent stay in Mohonk's foothills

This house is great and is definitely a place to stay in warm months with so much to do. The property is amazing and well appointed and clean. Easy access to trails, beautiful views, and so much to do inside and out. We really enjoyed our stay. If we had to make a complaint, it was that the recreation space is detached and in winter, difficult to heat. The woodburning fireplace in the living wasn't in order so that was a bit of a disappointment, but none of it was enough to ruin our stay or outlook of this property! We loved everything this house has to offer and will be back for sure!

Extended birthday for the Mr ♥️

Even Mother Nature could dampen our weekend with the convenient location of this beautiful property. Despite the rain on Saturday, we were still able to make it over to Gertrude’s Nose since it’s only 5 minutes away (including parking!!) to Minnewaska. From the comfortable beds to the lovely feeling of being in a home, Michele makes you feel like a guest - not a renter. We’ll definitely be back.

Great stay in a beautiful location

My husband and I loved our stay at this lovely home! The house had everything we needed and the bed and couches were super comfortable! It was a perfect location to explore the Gunks and New Paltz area! I enjoyed hiking directly from the house into Mohonk Mountain Preserve (I made sure to purchase a year long membership first) and making the short drive to explore Minnewaska State Park. Communication with Michel was super easy and we appreciated her suggestions for exploring, dining and shopping. We'd gladly stay here again. Thanks so much for sharing this lovely spot!

Nice place

Nice place but I am a clean freak and the dishes and silverware in the cabinets/drawers were mostly not clean. Maybe the dishwasher isn’t working too well….we ran the dirty ish dishes but they still weren’t too appealing. We found The shower curtain liner in master bedroom and back hall a bit moldy making showering less appealing. The sheets towels were just fine and the layout of the house is perfect for small children. Great location and beautiful property.

Ideal

Home was perfect for all ages-on one floor for elderly, equipped for the young, efficient, beautiful inside and outside, with many amenities. Lovely and quiet retreat for a family gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in New Paltz. The property has enough space for our family to gather for meals and board games, or just to have some alone time. The kids loved the pool. We explored the area, checking out the waterfalls, nature preserve, and cute little town.

Family time

It's a pleasure to see a house so well suited to its surroundings. Great to be able to see the "gunks" from the kitchen and the patio. The climber in our family had easy access to the parking areas and connected with some local very experienced climbers. The recreation building with the lap pool was perfect for our 3 year old especially during inclement weather. The general area is beautiful and it's a treat just to drive around. A quick 15 minutes and you are at Minnewaska State Park or into New Paltz. Robibero winery has excellent wines and the Brooklyn Cider House has great pizza in a lovely setting. Sadly the Mountain Brauhaus chose our week for vacation so we missed what we know to be an excellent meal.

Amazing House and Location!

To start, the house had an incredible layout, was well taken of, very clean, and had awesome amenities. Everyone loved spending time in the game room, pool, and hot tub! The town of New Paltz is really cute with great restaurants/bars and friendly people. The house is very close to many things to do including various difficulty in hikes, Mohonk resort/property, and walking around New Paltz. We loved our stay here and can't wait to return!

New Paltz Mountain Stay

Perfect place for a base to visit the area for my mother's 80th birthday. Great views and patios, super quiet and very comfortable. Easy access to much of what the area has to offer and no more than 15 minutes from town.

A great location for a family getaway

Michele was quite good about communicating with us. Her home is very comfortable and located well for day trips for hiking, biking and birdwatching. After our adventures, it was fun to sit on the patio and watch the climbers on the mountain, have dinner on the patio and later to sit in the hot tub. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well supplied. Our family truly enjoyed our long weekend at Michele's.

Wonderful retreat in the mountain

We booked our ffamily for our son's graduation and the home did not disappoint. There was great outdoor space and activities as the rec house was so much fun. We all enjoyed the spacious home and did not feel cramped with the family and grandchildren. Used the pool and hot tub, played air hockey and fusball. Again would love to return in the future. Our son will be doing a 5th year at Marist so maybe another stay in our future. Thanks Gayle

Mom’s 80th Birthday Celebration

I originally wanted to book this place the May 5th weekend since Mother’s Day was the following Sunday. Unfortunately, trying to get multiple people/families to all agree is a great task all on its own and by the time we were all in agreement our original weekend was booked :( Back to the drawing board for Mother’s Day weekend. Everyone agreed & I didn’t waste anytime booking the house from 5/12-5/15. We had 4 generations at the house to celebrate Mom’s birthday & Mother’s Day & everyone LOVED it. The house was very comfortable for everyone. Kids played outside, walked the dogs around the house & played in the sepeerate game room (with adult supervision). Michele, the host, was very quick in her responses to any & all questions I had about the property. How many beds & how many people it can sleep, what the pet policy was in the house, etc. She was very flexible with our pets. We have 3 senior dogs - all chihuahuas under 8lbs each (16 years old) & was not comfortable leaving them at a kennel or having someone watch them. They have never been looked after by anyone else & I wasn’t going to start in their golden years. Michele allowed us to bring them & requested that they were crated when we weren’t at home & that we don’t allow them on any of the furniture. At the entrance of the home, was a mud area that we kept the dogs with their crates, wee pads (just in case they had an accident) and a pen so they could move about freely. This worked out GREAT for our dogs.

Another great stay

Wonderful location. Clean handsome house with all two families could need. Had what was needed to cook in. Hot tub and pool was enjoyed by kids. Very easy to reach Mohonk and Minnewaska for hiking, which was our main activity.
