We also have walking paths you can take down into our creek. It will take your breath away because it looks like its from Canada. It sort of is. When the glacier moved through this area it deposited the seeds of the Canadian Hemlock trees. These trees grow naturally along our creek. It is something to see if you are able to walk there. It is probably a 15 minute walk down to the creek or you can drive down the road and get closer. Directions will be in the house in the Welcome Notebook. It is a down hill walk to the creek. The area has mowed paths. We have 2 ponds you will pass on your way to the creek. Many people have enjoyed the walk.

Spacious home. This home has everything you need and some things you didn’t know you needed. Communication with the host was easy. Gina, a neighbor, visited us with her horse and her little dog. She allowed the children to ride the horse. The sun rises were beautiful.
We were looking for a place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our family - and this place was perfect. The house has all of the comforts and conveniences and it is clean and well maintained. The views from the deck are amazing. The hosts are very pleasant and accommodating. Everyone had a great time!
This is our fifth year, I believe, staying at Serenity Hill. I have given 5 star reviews each year. Ken and Andrea are super easy to communicate with and have honestly thought of everything to make their home perfect for vacations. The house and grounds are always in pristine conditions. We love it here and will continue to book here.
Our family of 16 stayed Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time. Kitchen was well stocked, with spices and condiments in the refrigerator. House was very clean! Kids loved the hillbilly golf and cornhole games provided. Adults enjoyed the huge deck with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the view. Also, communication with owners was excellent! Wonderful place to stay!!
We have a large family with all the grandkids, and this place was perfect. Plenty of bedrooms for the adults and enough pull outs for all the kids. We enjoyed the large kitchen with the table being large enough to sit most of us. Overall it was a great experience!
This was our second stay for our annual family weekend with our children and grandchildren. Great location with a beautiful house and property, very peaceful and serene and plenty of room for us all. We enjoy spending time outdoors and the large deck with a view was perfect to everyone to socialize, have meals and just enjoy morning coffee. The property allowed for the boys to fish, everyone to gather around the fire, lots of room for yard games and walking paths explore. Everyone had a great time and have requested to return again.
Everything was as advertised and property lived up to great reviews. Had high expectations and they were met. Would have rated a six if I could figure out how. Everything was clean and well stocked
We found this property to be very accommodating for our visit to this area. The house was very clean. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. The setting is lovely!
We had a wonderful weekend getaway at this magnificent property. The house, the views, and the owners were much more than anticipated. Best place we’ve ever stayed!
The most beautiful house I’ve ever rented on Vrbo. Very well stocked, and extremely clean!!
I would highly recommend to anyone to rent this house. If we get a chance to revisit the area we will be definitely staying here again.

About the host
Hosted by Ken and Andrea Hostetler
We have lived here for 28 years raising our family and a herd of horses. We have opened our home to many people who have needed a chance to restore their lives. My husband and I live across from the house in an apartment my husband built in the pole barn. Everyone here on the hill gets along and visits with each other often. Our Amish neighbors are excited to be able to help you feel comfortable here in Amish Country. They are available to cook for you or the neighbor girl will be glad to show you around the farm.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property when we were fostering 2 other children besides our own. When we saw the view we couldn't pass up purchasing this land. We love this quiet and peaceful area so we set up our home here.
What makes this property unique
Our land includes part of the Doughty Creek. When you go to the creek it looks like you are in a different state. The large rocks are covered with ferns as the creek is gently flowing over the rocks. The views from the deck are breath taking. A local Amish man is leasing our barn and fields from us. You will see horses and cows grazing in the fields. You will also see people coming and going as they feed the animals.
