Great Location

This property is a terrific location being right at the entrance to the public beach. The pool is immediately out the back door and we were located on the first floor which was great for having a pet. Our unit was pet friendly and we did see many pets at this location.

Summer Spell

The stay was overall good. The only issue was a treated two by four in the hallway and a garden hose in the bathroom. The area restaurants and beach were outstanding. I will rent again at this property.

Great location

Good location, great weather, had remodeling going on in the next condo that was an issue but was rectified. Start up supplies were OK but a bar of soap would be helpful in the bathroom instead of a sample soap like you have in hotel overnight stays.

Newly renovated condo

We stayed here with other family members in two adjacent condos. The pool was steps away. Beach access was across the street Quiet place for families. Had a glitch with air conditioner and management responded promptly.

Getaway Summer Vacation

Rented this condo this past week. Was not expecting how close beach was. Description mentioned it was across the street and it is just 5 minute walk. Condo is located at the bottom floor, back door with pool access at the rear. Everything was great, just which it had 2 bathrooms.

Summerspell

Let me start by saying this was the most expensive unit we’ve ever paid for. So the room had a funky smell almost the entire time and as far as amenities this is by far in the last five years, the worst amount of amenities I’ve ever seen. This would be the first unit we have stayed at inSummer spell that did not even have a beach chair, blowup toys, sand toys, umbrella absolutely nothing, we were sorely disappointed for the price we paid for what we got. We will never stay in this particular unit again. out of the three sets of washers and dryers half of them didn’t work they family above us was out of control we complain nothing was done.

Second time is not the charm.

The unit above us had a dog that barked. It wasn’t excessive but our understanding is that pets aren’t allowed. We had heard the dog bark a few times when it was left on the balcony. And the heavy running foot traffic throughout the above unit was sometimes intense and well into the evening. But the last night, the occupants were using either a grinder or floor scrubber or some electric device that touched every part of the upstairs unit floor and continued off and on for a few hours in the evening. We had contacted the owner in the above unit because we had just stayed in the unit earlier this summer. And we thought they ought to know about the pet and hope that maybe we could begin a dialogue that would also include all of the noise going on. But the owner responded about the pet and said it was them staying in the unit and that they could have a dog in the unit. And the grinding noise on the floor continued till after 10pm and the heavy running foot traffic was until close to midnight.

Not enough

I think the owner needs to stay at this property for a week given everything that was given to my family to realize what needs to improve. We were under the impression there would be beach amenities but there were none. There was no umbrella, chairs, or even beach towels. No beach towels. What? No beach towels. The hot tub was not working, which was a big selling point for us. There were no spices or anything for cooking. We even had to buy coffee filters. Only cooking ware is provided. The AC froze up on us set at 70. That’s ridiculous. It was hot and made it hard to sleep. We were given two rolls of toilet paper and one thing of dish soap to run the dishwasher. Well there was not enough toilet paper for our family or fish soap. We ended up having to buy both. This is just greediness on the property manager and should be dealt with. Also the owner is super worried about the fridge temperature. The setting that t he sign says you must keep it at just isn’t cold enough (and yes I have the fridge 3 days to cool down after loading it up.). Just turn down the fridge temperature. No one likes warm beer. And my baby was not happy with warm milk either. On a more positive note the beds were very comfortable. The entire place was very cozy and easy to feel at home. Given another chance to go to Destin, I would not even consider this condo.

The unit is not an end unit. I really liked the layout of the condo and the location to the beach was really good and convenient. It was decorated nice. I also liked being able to walk out the back door to the pool. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you needed. We had plenty of towels during our stay. What I didn’t like about the place is the people above us sounded like they were walking up and down the hallway 1 million times. We kept trying to figure out what on earth they could be doing. The condo could use a refresher with some painting. We had a T-shirt buried in the sand that look like it had been there for months right outside our patio. The bed is not very comfortable and the couch could stand to be replaced. Underneath the bathroom sink the kickboard is pushed in and looks nasty. The toilet seat is not latched on one side. The refrigerator is leaking water I’m assuming from the icemaker so we came home from the beach and all our food that was on the top layer of the fridge was soaking wet. The housekeeping needs to do a little bit better job of cleaning there was a dirty washcloth hanging in the shower when we checked in and the medicine cabinet had someone’s leftover shaving clippings in it. Also under the bed was a leg pillow someone had left behind. All in all I think it was a decent place just a few things that need to be refreshed.

The location was great. It was close to the beach. We had 4 adults and 2 children ages 12 and 8. The pull out sofa needs to be replaced. It was to uncomfortable to sleep on. The couch itself was uncomfortable to sit on. It squeaked. The springs are very warned out and it was stained up. The condo did not feel like it was cleaned. The baseboards are dirty and every corner there dirt piles..When we arrived there was dirt and leaves on the floor. The wooden floor looks like it wasn’t even mopped. The shower curtain needs to be replaced. It is old and has mildew on the bottom. The toilet seat kept coming off and we had to keep snapping it back in place.There is heavy dust under the beds and couch. The air conditioner closet was filthy. The vent looks like it hadn’t been changed for months it is so caked with dust, the water heater had 2 rat traps on them. The dust was hanging on the closet door that the air conditioner was in.The curtains that are on back doors are disgusting and need to be cleaned. The room above us you can hear them walking back and forth and moving furniture. It was loud. We did not sleep well. The top bunk railing is not attached very well which could become a hazard. Under the main bed was a pile of poo which had been there for some time. It was petrified. On a positive note we did have plenty of bath towels. The kitchen was nice and had all the necessities we needed.

We enjoyed our stay after the first couple of days due to dirty plates in cabinet, the bathroom sink drain didn’t work and the refrigerator dripped when defrosting. The maintenance was very nice and fixed the problems.

Perfect place

I had the opportunity to rent the condo for three nights and we had an incredible time the perfect and cozy place in front of the beach with access to the pool the very friendly neighbors is a magical place and our last day we went to the beach again and we managed to see a dolphin swimming near the shore we loved it
