This classic Southern California beach house comes loaded with charm and convenience! Enjoy the abundant amenities, peaceful setting and nearby beach access.
*This is a private, family home not a hotel ... NOT A PARTY HOUSE... Primary renter must be at least 25*
• 2 unit property (both vacation rentals) – some shared spaces outside of this unit: driveway, garage, laundry, spa, backyard, bbq, beach gear…
• Wifi included
• Roku TVs in living room and both bedrooms (capable of streaming your subscriptions but no cable TV)
• Full kitchen with dishwasher, pots/pans, dishes, utensils, many small appliances (ask if you have specific questions)
• Coffee maker; both drip and Keurig provided (starter amount of ground coffee, filters and various sugars provided. No K-cups provided)
• No food is provided

Carlsbad Stay

The house was really really clean! The accommodations were top quality. Our family said they would all choose to stay at this home again. Hot water seemed a bit quirky however; it was nothing major.

California fun getaway

Charming and peaceful

The property was well maintained and updated. The beds were very comfortable, Linens were clean and fresh. The kitchen was well appointed and the backyard and deck area was so peaceful and relaxing. You will love staying here!

Great location to the beach and LegoLand

We surprised our 8 year old with a solo trip to LegoLand with grandparents. This place was pricey but the proximity to the beach and LegoLand, along with the large spa and deck won is over. Pros: The house is clean and well stocked, and lots of beach supplies for a good time. Comfy beds and big bathrooms. TVs in each room Large deck Beautiful and well kept backyard (shared) Large hot tub (shared) Cons: The owner sends multiple messages about check on procedure and checkout and still stops by unannounced to check on things like the spa (people in the apartment above the garage checked out the day before us, and she was there that day and the next) Our last morning, a woman (maybe the owner) came again to clean the apartment above the garage and made it feel less relaxing because we couldn’t use washer dryer that day- our stuff was taken out. When we sent a text to make sure we could use ALL amenities until the check out time, we never heard back.

wonderful carlsbad spot, locally managed

This place looks lovely but modest from the street, which is kind of its super power-- because it's really spacious and incredible. Great backyard with an adjacent structure that shares an ocean lookout deck, wonderful back porch, grill, nice lawn, and a hot tub (!). The interior is sparkling clean, and the room sizes are generous. Heather takes a lot of pride in her home, and it shows. She's helpful, chill, and attentive. And she manages her own property, which is a big deal to us. In essence, this is a local business. Support your local and have a wonderful stay, all in one. Highly reccomend.

Perfect location and great amenities

We loved staying at Heather's house! The outdoor amenities (deck/hot tub/yard) were a great way to take advantage of the perfect weather. We also hugely appreciated having all of the beach gear. There were tons of boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, shovels/buckets for the kids and towels. The location and proximity to the beach made it so easy to go back and forth. The house is also only a 9-10 walk to the main town for coffee or restaurants. The only thing I would mention is that the mattress in the master bedroom is very soft...something to consider for those who have back issues. Overall, we would highly recommend this property!

Great property and location

We enjoyed our stay so much. Very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of towels. Lots of time spent outdoors on the deck and patio. We were there for 10 days so several different renters moved in and out of the apartment upstairs. There was never a time when there was an overlap on using the hot tub, grill and patio but it could be a little weird if that happened. We will definitely be back.

Quiet, comfortable and lovely

This is our second time staying here. The beds are super comfortable. The house is spacious and has everything we wanted. Heather has all the beach stuff available to use , a garage and the location on a quiet street is a 5 minute walk to the BEACH.

Great Choice, Great Location

Stayed for 3 nights. My wife and I took my mom to celebrate her turning 80 this month. We found the house to be very clean, and nicely remodeled. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch of the house and also checked out the observation deck, which is above and behind the garage. A short walk to the beach and a reasonable, but slightly longer walk to the village made this a very good location. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with pans and spices and such. We had the pleasure of meeting our host Heather, who stopped by during our stay. She is very kind and personable. I would recommend this VRBO to others.

Another Great Stay!

This was our second time staying at this house and once again, it didn't disappoint. The house has everything you need, everything is clean and organized. Our family stayed in the other house on the property which was convenient and fun - we both had our own space but could easily hang out. We walked to the beach and downtown Carlsbad from the house - great location!

Stay here!

Fantastic location, a couple blocks to the beach and downtown! We enjoyed this cozy beach house and Heather, the property mgr, was very nice, communicative and hands on. The home came very well equipped, and the big hot tub was a fabulous feature to come home to after fun days. Perfect getaway for our young family.

A delightful respite

Frankly I don't think the listing does it justice. The decor is lovely and more importantly functional. The beds were so comfortable! My BFF says she slept great every night! The viewing platform was great to enjoy the sunset when we didn't feel like schlepping to the beach which was a 5 minute walk. Yes, we were lazy and this spot was perfect for us. There was an ample supply of gear for the beach. Great restaurants in every direction. Quiet neighborhood. Heather was great to work with. She's very conscientious. I really can't say enough about how great an experience it was. I would absolutely stay here again. Told hubby this would be a great romantic getaway.

I immediately fell in love with this home because it has the best of the original 1947 house along with thoughtful updates and immaculate care. We wanted a place that we. could invite our out-of-town family and friends to come and stay close to our home... and the beach! We also loved the setup of having a main house and guest house that could be used separately or together.
