This private, charming lake house has 150 feet of sandy beach frontage with stunning lake views from the main living area, large entertaining deck and the master suite. The home offers 3 bedrooms (plus kids bunk area), 3 full and 1 half baths and comfortably sleeps 8 people (King, 2 Queens, 2 single beds w/ trundle, and pull out sofa). Enjoy endless walks on the sandy beach, morning swims in the crystal clear fresh water of Lake MI, afternoons playing in the water (2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards), and nightly sunsets. The home is located in the solitude of Lower Shore Drive and only minutes to downtown Harbor Springs.

Great Place to Enjoy Michigan

We had 6 adults stay here for a family vacation (myself, my wife, our adult kids and one of their spouses). The size of the home, amenities and location were perfect for us! Everyone in our family enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed cooking foil packs and s'mores while watching sunsets on the beach. We also had room in the home to relax and play games. We ate a few meals in and found the kitchen to be well equipped. The location was perfect for exploring that part of Michigan where we enjoyed local wineries, the town of Harbor Springs (including the Farmers Market). We rode bikes on the roads and trails in the area and we drove to Mackinac Island one day. Thank you to the owners for making this home available for families to enjoy!

Property Review

Our stay exceeded our expections. The house was clean and orderly and met our needs. There were plenty of kitchen utensils. The appliances, including the grill, worked well. When there was an issue with the heater, the owner and the maintenance person were very responsive. The next time we are in Harbor Springs we would definitely stay in this house again.

Location can’t be beat!

We loved the location of this house as well as the private beach. You are definitely paying for the beach and the location. The house has beautiful views and enough space for a family. The kitchen we well equipped and easy to fix up meals with the grill right off the kitchen. A few problems were noticed. No A/C is never a deal breaker for us especially on the lake but more than half of the windows were inoperable which made getting air flow hard (especially on the main level that has no fans). We also noticed a camera drilled into a cabinet in the kitchen facing into the whole main living area. We didn’t like the possibility of being on display. The last thing is the walk to the beach can be a little treacherous but we were able to do it several times a day. Overall we enjoyed our stay and it was a great week!

Magical

We had one of the best trips of our lives and I have been visiting harbor springs and all around little traverse bay for 30 years now. The coastline is magnificent and unlike any other place we have found. The house is perfect in its set up for a family vacation. We visited during the busiest week of the year and it felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves. We can’t wait to get back. Thanks so much to the owners for sharing this place with our family.

Great couple getaway

Loved staying at lower shore! Really nice beach with miles to walk and discover beautiful rock. The scenic shore is shallow and rocky in some places but makes it great for kayaking. Fit our mellow needs well. Not a lot of people on beach which is a great plus. The house sits up higher from the shore and there is a woodland trail down (about a 3 walk). Owner was fantastic and super responsive to any questions.

Relaxing, beautiful property

My husband and I stayed at the property for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the waves, enjoying the sunsets on the private beach and spending quality time together. The home is in a private setting along the tunnel of trees and was very comfortable with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. The large living/family area has lots of windows and a great view of Lake Michigan. Bedrooms were comfortable and had lots of closet space. Our adult children visited on the weekend and went into town for dinner and ice cream. The owner was incredibly responsive. We will definatly be back.

Wonderful Harbor Springs Lake Michigan Property

We stayed for 16 beautiful days in July! The property fit our needs very well. The lower level was perfect for our adult son who has Autism, a place to call his own for our stay. Everything in the home was in good working order. The sunsets are beautiful from the beach!

Beautiful sunsets!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage! The location is wonderful, with gorgeous views of Lake Michigan. There is a short hike down to the beach and we loved being able to enjoy the beach during the day, as well as beach bonfires at sunset. Thanks for a fabulous week!

Bed trouble

Be careful in booking this. The four bedrooms are a bit deceptive. Two of the bedrooms contain double beds not queen size. And the bunks have mattresses that are barely adequate. Otherwise the house is fantastic.

Fantastic and Peaceful Relaxation

Between the beach, great view, water toys, nearby hikes and lively towns to explore, it was perfect. The kids loved beach hunting for rocks. The house is lovely and the pictures absolutely don’t do it any justice. Stay here!

Perfect for a family getaway

We loved our stay in Harbor Springs. This house was perfect for our family (ages 2-60) The private beach made it even better! Short drive to downtown for amazing restaurants and shopping. Host was excellent to communicate with and house had everything we needed for the week. Will absolutely stay again!

Lake House

We really enjoyed our 7 days with many beautiful sunsets and great bonfires. The canoes and paddle boards were great for the kids. Owner was easy to communicate with. Harbor Springs is perfect!!

Great family trip

The beach on the property is truly stunning! We had a great time swimming, paddle boarding, rock hunting and biking. The owner was responsive to any questions and needs and addresses issues immediately as they arose.
