Beautiful home on 4 acres. Only 2.5 miles from downtown Warm Springs. Visit The Little White where President Roosevelt lived. Close to Callaway Gardens and Pine Mountain. King bed in Master, Queen bed in 2nd bedroom and one full sized bed in third bedroom. One bathroom. Smart TV with firestick (no cable TV) so you can login to your own streaming account and local channels are available. Game Room with lots of games and puzzles.
Our home is a quarter mile from a railroad crossing (and this is a community built around the railroad) so you may hear trains going by. Most people find it charming and quaint - kids love it. It’s only an issue for very light sleepers.

It was a 5 ladies trip. We felt very safe in the home and in the neighborhood. We loved how it was not a big town but large enough to enjoy ourselves. This charming little home is one we want to go back to in the future.
The listing was very accurate and the owners were very nice! Everything was ready for us earlier than expected and we were able to communicate easily with the owners! We will definitely be back to stay here in the future!
This quaint little old house was absolutely adorable. We fell in love with it. It was so inviting, homey and comfortable. I have to say, I found the sound of the train all night to be a comforting sound that reminded me of my childhood. I loved it. The beds were super comfortable and the living room, inviting and cozy as well. The host was quick to message me back when I had a question. The town of Warm Springs in itself was just as sweet as well, and the surrounding little towns. Bulloch House Restaurant has an amazing buffet. And you have to go to Roosevelt's The Little White House and Museum which is super close. We will definitely be back, but maybe for a different season next time.
We had a wonderful time at Granddaddy's House. It was just as listed and even better. We took our two grands with us and they had a great time playing outside when we were there. My husband and I loved sitting on the porch. Inside the house had such a homey feel. It had plenty of room for the 4 of us for sure. This is where we will stay again.
This house is such a quaint place and so comfortable! Our family enjoyed the place as a relaxing place to unwind and spend time together. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean! While the kitchen is small, we were able to fix all of our meals there with no problems. Check in is extremely easy and while we had no issues, the owner is easy to reach if the need should arise. It is in a quiet country neighborhood which we appreciated! It is near train tracks as others mentioned, but you soon get used to them and it adds to the ambiance!
Anytime I reached out to the host. She was very quick to respond if you stay in here, you need to make sure you like trains as they are a lot of them. They go all night long other than that the house was very cozy. Could have used a couple of mirrors in the bedroom since only one bathroom with a super tiny mirror. And an extra plug somewhere in the kitchen. There is a kureg coffee pot and microwave and they do not all plug into one outlet
This is a sweet little house and very comfortable. It reminded me of my grandparent’s house. It’s a nice neighborhood that feels very private. You can hear the train but I quickly got used to it. The owner is very responsive.
This quaint home is clean, cool and comfortable. It has everything you need to cook, eat your food and shower. Love the game room!! As one other renter stated...too many trains but thats because its very quiet otherwise.
Owner made sure we had everything we needed. Super responsive.. Clean home and property. Nice yard. Loved the carport. This home is full of memories of the owner and her family. Thankful Sherry shares this home. We made memories, too. 5 stars… ALL THE WAY!!!
We came to the annual Manchester Railroad Days the 3rd weekend in October. My husband is a railroad fan. After reading one of the reviews about hearing trains nearby, hubby said this is the place to book! The place is so nice, quaint, and very well maintained. The occasional sound of the trains in the distance was a pleasant sound, not at all disturbing. The area is peaceful. Our host was very prompt in responding when we had questions. While in the area, we also dined in Warm Springs and visited the Roosevelt Little White House and pools. What a great stay! We will certainly stay again, maybe next year!
This property was perfect for our family. We had come from Illinois for a wedding. The property was in a perfect location halfway between Manchester and halfway between warm Springs. We really enjoyed our stay.
I would recommend this property to anyone. perfect size not a big home but perfect for families. While we were there our father got sick and they hospitalized him. We ended up staying longer than we had plan. Sherry was wonderful she extended our stay with no problem. I would recommend this property to anyone. I would stay there again.
Grandfather house way just as describe. It was clean and quiet.Love the acreage.Would love to stay there again. We had a problem with the water but Sherry got right on it.It’s country living and things will happen with the well and pump.
