50th Anniversary and Family Reunion

Excellent from start to finish! Dan and Patti couldn’t have been nicer, more responsive to questions, and just overall the best hosts. The property and yard were more than large enough to accommodate 11 visitors. The four grandsons loved the back yard and wildlife, corn hole, wiffle ball, as well as the hot tub that saw pretty extensive use. Location wise, we ventured far and wide to visit Glacier, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, ropes courses, the town of Whitefish, golfing at the local course; the list goes on. At night we played games from the many great selections provided. We really ate out only once as the kitchen(s) provided everything you can imagine to make easy scrambled eggs or a gourmet meal. It was genuinely the best family trip we’ve ever taken. Thank you, Dan and Patti- AND Montana!

Wonderful stay near Glacier National Park

Our family of 9 adults and one child had a great stay at this property. It had all of the comforts of home, and the additional benefit of bear sprays so we didn't have to rent them. Most of the bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms and the kitchen and gas grill were great for making large meals. The deck is very nice and the hot tub was clean and much used. The owners were very friendly, accommodating, and accessible. Overall we would highly recommend this property for a large group.

Home Away from Home!

Our extended family of 10 stayed 5 nights at this lovely VRBO! There was a bedroom with en suite bathroom for all adult couples and 2 single young men. The teenagers had the downstairs with their very own living area and kitchen. This home away from home was immaculate, beds were very comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, and washer/dryer area downstairs with state of the art appliances. The owners were welcoming and responsive…even searched the house for a ball cap and missing AirPod that our teenage grandsons left behind. Location is perfect for those wanting to visit Glacier Nat’l Park or Whitefish. Thanks, Dan and Patti, for allowing us to gather as a family at your fantastic home!

Wonderful property for large family gathering

Thanks to Dan and Patti for the fantastic preparation of the perfect meeting place for four families (grandparents, three adult kids + families) to spend the week exploring Glacier National Park and then regrouping in comfort at the property. We had ages 11 months to 72 years all together under one roof quite comfortably. The kitchens were SO well supplied -- we had no trouble cooking for our large group. Hats off to the hosts for detailed instruction binder and their ready communication during the week. We were never without help when we needed it, and we hope to be back in a future summer!

Loved our Columbia Falls Stay

We were a large multi-generation group and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The B&B was well stocked and had everything we could need/ ask for. The host answered all of my questions quickly and had plenty of suggestions for us. We were grateful for the coolers to pack sandwiches for our days in the park and for the cans of bear spray (saved us from having to rent it). The home is located in a great central location and we enjoyed exploring!

Great property close to Glacier!

This was a perfect property for our family...lots of space for everyone to spread out and many gathering places to hang together. The location was perfect for us to explore Glacier National Park. The owners were wonderful at communicating and giving us guidance on things to do in the area. Would definitely recommend!

Best place ever!!

We had a group of ten adults. 4 couples and the rest single and everyone had their own room and bathroom. Nice and big. Had all the utensils, pots/pans, even kids plates and utensils. Location was perfect. We saw deer in the backyard almost every day. Host was super friendly and accommodating. Would answer quickly. House has so many amenities like extra hiking sticks, bear spray. Lots of parking for big parties. Very clean. Hot tub in the back felt amazing after our long hikes. Would give this place 20 stars if I could. It’s about 30 min to west glacier entrance from house. There is a 24 hour Supermarket super close to the house.

Guys Ski Trip

This house was perfect for six guys to stretch out and and enjoy the some Back Country Skiing and Snowmobiling. Hot Tub was also well maintained and relieved the aches and pains of the day ;-) The location was also very convenient and only a short drive to Whitefish Mtn and towns. The only negative that I have about the house was when we first walked in to the property, the cleaning people used an excessive amount of Fabreze air freshener throughout house which was overwhelming. Had to open all the windows and doors to air it out, but was fine after that.

Excellent property with central location to GCP

This property was able to fit our large group of 10+ people very comfortably. The house is very clean and updated. The house is gorgeous and way better than what the pictures can even advertise. A really nice perk is all that is included (crock pot, pots/pans, coffee and spices)! 2 min drive from grocery store and 10 min from airport! The outdoor are was impeccable. We cannot say enough how comfortable this stay was and how much we enjoyed it. We would definitely recommend this place and return in a heartbeat.

Don't Rent from this Owner

My family reserved this home for a summer vacation in January. In May, I received a call from the owner that they had double booked the home on the first night of our reservation. This led to a stressful situation, given the close proximity to our vacation and the # of people in our party. The owners provided another home for the 1st night, but it was smaller and meant moving again after just 1 night. With the owner at fault for this issue, we requested a financial refund to make up for the inconvenience. No correspondence was done about this through the VRBO platform and I later learned this violates VRBO policy. Instead of refunding the agreed upon amount through VRBO, I had to pay for the full reservation & was told I would receive a check in Montana. The home mostly matched the online description, however, there were items that were not in working order, including the dryer. The location included a nice backyard however, the owners of the home were on the property every single day that we were there. This included watering lawns, moving items from the detached garage and felt like we were being watched. When we arrived, I inquired about the agreed upon check and was told I would be given it at check out. The day of check out came and while check out was 10:00am, the owners were on site at approximately 9:15 moving things and waiting for us to leave. Packing 14 people takes time and we felt again like we were being watched and rushed out, even though it was within our rental agreement time. I was given the check at that time. Two hours after leaving the home, I received a call from the owner accusing us of breaking 2 beds in one of the bedrooms. Prior to leaving, we checked the entire home and do not believe this damage was due to our stay. During the call, the owner immediately suggested cancelling the check that was just given to me. This was very frustrating, as my family did not cause the damage and she also indicated that she would file a claim against the damage insurance. A claim was filed for the damages and upon returning home and attempting to deposit the refund check, my bank informed me the payment had been stopped. Since this time, the owners have been unresponsive. Given their suggestion of a refund outside of VRBO has meant VRBO cannot help us. I'm now at an additional financial loss and have dealt with huge frustration and stress. Save your money, your vacation and peace of mind, do NOT rent from these owners.

Great location and room for everyone

This house is in a great location, only 25 minutes from Glacier. It is very quiet with a beautiful yard. There is a good grocery store right down the street with 25 cent ice creams! There are two kitchens which came in handy when cooking for 14. Bedrooms are spacious, most with bathrooms, comfortable beds, good AC. The house comes with things you don’t want to buy on a trip like plastic wrap, foil, dishwasher and washing machine pods, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, etc.

WOW!

Our family of 12 ranging in age from 3-63 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! Tons of space to spread out, also plenty of space for privacy. The house was equipped with everything any Glacier visitor could possibly need including bear spray, maps and info on the area. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen of any VRBO we have ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in a lot of them. The beds were very comfortable and the yard was amazing, too! Everyone enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Columbia Falls has several good restaurants, coffee shops and grocery stores. We particularly enjoyed the Backroom restaurant and the Ghostland and Cowgirl coffee shops. It is about a 20 minute drive to the west entrance of the park. We spent everyday in the park and it was very convenient. We all would highly recommend this property and hope to come back again!

Great Place to Stay

We traveled with 10 family members of three generations,. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and very well stocked with all the basics you will need . Since we were heading out on a tour in the Canadian Rockies after our stay here and we really appreciated the laundry facilities to freshen a few things for our next trip. The family loved having a large back yard to play soccer and football and enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. The house is close to everything grocery, restaurants and Glacier National Park.. This is one of the nicest houses I have rented and the Hosts were the best!

Beautiful well appointed home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dan and Patti’s property in Columbia Falls. The location was great for our time spent at Glacier National Park, as well as being close to shopping and restaurants. The home itself had everything we needed…including comfortable beds and plenty of space for our family of 10. The highlight was on our last day when a bear ran through the front yard!

Great house for large groups

We had a great stay. We were travelling with grandparents, 3 sets of parents, and 6 kids ranging from toddlers to teenagers. Plenty of bedrooms with all 4 upstairs having ensuite baths was nice. It was nice having two kitchens and refrigerators for that many. House is clean and well stocked with kittchen basics. Dan and Patti are well organized with information/instructions and were always very quick to respond to any questions (within a couple minutes). We used this as base for some outdoor exploration (fly fishing, Glacier National Park, etc.) and it worked out great for us. We'd definitely come back.

Beyond Expectations - A Great House and A Great Location

What a great experience! We had a mini family reunion as part of our first trip to Glacier National Park. The home is only 15-20 minutes from the west entrance to the park and Glacier International Airport is also only 15 minutes from the home. We loved the local community and surrounding area as there were many opportunities for great outdoor activities (hiking, ziplining, rafting, golf and water activities). The house was perfect for our family - lots of room, well stocked kitchens (there are two kitchens), a large backyard (which worked great for family volleyball and dodge ball) and a very helpful and accommodating host. We also enjoyed sightings of deer and a fox or two in the backyard! It certainly is a home we wish to return to in the future. The only negative comment for the house was the existence of only one bathroom downstairs. However, with the four upstairs bedrooms all having full bathrooms, we were able to make sure everyone had ample access when it came to taking showers. Glacier National Park was breathtaking. We enjoyed wonderful views and great hikes. While it was early in the season (June 2022) there was still some road closures. However, we were able to adjust and did a little extra driving which was well worth the time and travel. Our family has made many trips to other National parks and this one quickly became a favorite.

Glacier 2021

This is a fabulous VRBO in a beautiful neighborhood! Our party consisted of 12 adults and never did we feel crowded or cramped in the week that we visited. The house is beautiful, was sparkling clean and the grounds are gorgeous. The 2 kitchens are stocked with just about any staple you could ever need. All of the bedrooms & living rooms are spacious & comfortable and there was seating for 12-13 in the dining room. Patti & Dan are great hosts! They are super responsive to any question you may have and they will bend over backwards to please you. The VRBO location was ideal: right on a public golf course, 15-20 minutes from both Glacier Park & Whitefish & just minutes from grocery stores, restaurants etc. We all had a fantastic vacation & agreed that this was the nicest VRBO that any of us had been to. Thank you Dan & Patti! We will surely be back!

We moved to Montana from California in 2013 and never looked back. We absolutely love Montana it's physical beauty as well as the beauty that lies within the people that live here. We enjoy the hospitality business and own this beautiful home which we ran for several years as the Meadow Lake View Bed & Breakfast but have decided to offer this to large families and groups so they can experience the wonders of Montana too.

Why they chose this property

This home personifies Montana Hospitality. We can sleep 14 guests comfortably with 7 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, large private property, with Hot Tub, Air conditioning and is centrally located and only 20 minutes to Glacier National Park, 15 minutes to Whitefish, 25 minutes to Whitefish Mountain Resort and centrally located and close to all other attractions in the Flathead Valley. Great back deck over looking a large yard and forest, this property sits on a quiet lot that is just over 1 1/4 acres.

What makes this property unique

Excellent location on the Meadow Lake Resort Golf course. We are walking distance to the clubhouse and resort that features a great restaurant and bar. Great Deck overlooking the golf course. It also has a great day spa for pampering and coffee shop.
