Situated on Maalaea Bay, a prime location for Humpback whale watching from your lanai during the season from November through April. If the south swell is strong, the famous wave "Freight Trains" attracts expert surfers from around the globe. A short walk south along the sidewalk leads to Haycraft Park and Sugar Beach, Maui's longest undeveloped stretch of sand. This tranquil beach is perfect for swimming, walking, jogging, birdwatching, and shell hunting, all while escaping the crowds. The beach extends for miles and eventually connects with the community of Kihei.
To the north, less than a mile away, you'll find the shops and restaurants at Ma'alaea Harbor. The harbor is a hub for activities, including snorkel and tour boats to Molokini Crater, sunset dinner cruises, and family-friendly attractions like the Pacific Whale Foundation, Maui Ocean Center, and Maui Golf and Sports Park, which offers miniature golf, trampolines, rock climbing, and bumper boats.
Centrally located, Island Sands is just a 20-minute drive to Lahaina, Wailea, and Kahului Airport (OGG), and about 25 minutes to Pa'ia and Makawao town. Nearby, you'll find the Kealia National Wildlife Refuge and the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, just a short 5 to 10-minute drive away. For those who prefer not to drive, the Maui Bus stop at Ma`alaea Village offers convenient public transportation to nearly any destination on the island.

*Every Maui Vision property listed is a NON-SMOKING home; be it inside the unit or outside on the lanai (balcony) or hallways. A designated smoking area outdoors & away from the building. There is a $500 fine for smoking. Any costs to remove the smell or damage of the smoke will either be covered by the guest in violation of this policy.
*Please note that a $200 fee will be applied for the replacement of a lost key.
*Guest will be charged for extra cleaning if the unit is left excessively dirty or damaged the unit beyond normal wear and tear.
*IMPORTANT: The standard number of allowed guests is 4. If you wish to add more guests to your trip, there is an extra person fee of $30 per guest beyond the standard allowed guests.

Any tax increases requested by the State of Hawaii will be passed along to guests. This privately owned vacation condo is operated in full compliance with Hawaii law. General Excise and Transient Accommodation taxes are collected and transmitted to the State of Hawaii on all rentals.
