This comfy cabin in Tahoe Donner offers a warm ambiance with a wood stove and plenty of natural light through the large windows. A deck with patio furniture and a gas grill is perfect for sunny days while the living area and loft provide plenty of space to relax inside while entertainment (Amazon Fire Stick) and a jetted tub will keep everyone happy.

Much needed

This property was really amazing. The only thing I’d say it needed would be new dishes lol The house is beautiful, homey and quite roomy. It was a excellent experience for us. I would definitely stay again.

Nice winter getaway

A wonderful home only a short drive away from Palisades. Spacious. Vacasa was incredible responsive to questions and requests. They responded to texts within seconds. I will use them again.

This house has a lot of potential but was not clean. It is obviously worn. With wobbly furniture and broken locks. My biggest issue is there was a cockroach in our bedroom. And on top of all of that, there was no wifi and host responded to my messages after our stay was over.

Property has 'good bones' and a good layout but general maintenance is below par. Not dirty or unclean but some window shades missing, low quality mattresses, stairway and deck are old and need replacing, no upgrades to the house since it was built... just looks like a rental/income property, no real pride of ownership.

Great location and perfect for a last minute family gathering to wrap up the summer. House was not very clean (cobwebs, some wrappers for prior guests under furniture). Dishwasher did not work (valve shut-off due to a leak in the fill line).

Rustic for sure

This house is definitely rustic. I'd advise washing all pots, pans, silverware, cups, etc before using. The home needs a good deep clean and someone to fix lots of little things. For example when you shower you're standing in 3 inches of water as it does not drain well, kitchen faucet leaks, lots of light bulbs are out, furniture is torn and stained. I would not stay here again. Bath towels and bed sheets clean but that's about it.

Ok/decent

The pros of this house is the size and the quiet that the neighborhood provides. We also got very quick responses from property management and that was appreciated. My son absolutely loved the bunk beds. Location was pretty close to stores and restaurants so that made it convenient. Cons: does not have air conditioning, not updated anywhere at all, there were some structural and safety issues with the patio deck and the railing, which I communicated to the property management so hopefully they'll correct those. We also had some issues with the house not being up to par as far as cleanliness but we communicated that to the property management and they were very receptive. The refrigerator and freezer didn't seem to get cool enough we had things in the freezer that melted. If Property Management fixes those issues it would be a great place for families.

Great Family Time

The house is a little outdated, but there is lots of room for families to be together and enjoy a fun time in the snow. We had 2 families with 4 kids (2, 7 & two 9) and they had a great time here. Plenty of space for them to hangout (and the upper bedroom has a nice big closet that was their fort) parents could enjoy themselves while the kids played. We loved that there was a snowy area right out in the back, between all the houses that we made a sled run and we just hangout there during the day. The kids had a blast. Would totally recommend, just take them at there word and you need 4wd or AWD to get into the driveway during winter.

Seriously, a cockroach?

The first thing we noticed is that there is no king size bed. Neither the upstairs nor the downstairs room had a king size bed. The second thing we noticed, is that there was a dead cockroach in the kitchen light fixture. Eww! Then looking around it was evident that the cleaner never looks up. There are cobwebs festooned from the ceiling higher windows. The kitchen had no plastic containers, no bags, nothing to put any leftover food in at all. No plastic wrap, no foil, nothing. In addition, the pans had leftover food in them, and there was a dish of -- something, hot chocolate mix, perhaps? -- on top of the refrigerator. Again, the cleaners don't look up. On the plus side, the mattresses were of good quality, if a bit hard for my taste, but clearly newish and the sheets were clean. The house itself is gorgeous, and the fixtures in the bathroom were clean.

Family stay

The place was ok! If you have kids it’s fine. The furniture is outdated which is fine if u have kids. I wish it was a little more cleaner. The leather couch had dirt that was still on it. If someone took a sponge to clean it then it would look better and I would’ve felt better sitting or having my child or someone fall asleep on it. But I was uncomfortable sitting on it especially visiting during this Covid time. I thought it would’ve been cleaner. There was a water bottle cap on the couch which means it was left behind when it was supposed to be clean. Cobwebs were in the light fixture above the dining table so it was noticeable. Made me question when they last cleaned the house. The deck didn’t feel very safe stepping onto it and the back deck was pretty shaky too. In the picture it shows there was a tv upstairs but when we arrived it was in the closet . I wish it would’ve been set up for us before we arrived. When I tried to email the maintenance about the tv on the lower floor no one responded back? We figured it out on our own. So over all it was OK. The neighbor was quite and easy to get to the lake. Due to Covid the pool access was challenging. I wish I knew more before setting up this trip. When we arrived the pool was completely booked out so we couldn’t use it. If we wanted to we had to set up a registration to hold a 90min spot and it was $16 to use the pool for 90min. But then again it was completely booked out for weeks. Over all OK but wish it was cleaner especially during this Covid time

Great place for family fun

We had a great time. The place was clean and the kitchen was adequately stocked with the basic essentials. The layout was perfect For two families (four adults and four kids) sharing the place—kids had a blast being able to all bunk in one room. My only suggestion is perhaps for the property to upgrade the bed blankets. It was chilly and I would have loved to have had a basic easy-to-wash/dry duvet-covered comforter to snuggle under vs blankets that look fairly well used and the kind that would perhaps not be washed after each guest. (But to be clear, the place was very nice and clean, I just know that the heavy fuzzy blankets take more effort to launder.) I was surprised that we could not build a fire in the fire place (and perhaps it was noted in the property notes), but I understand that it could prove to be a bit risky. All in all, a great place for family fun.

This home had everything we needed! The only downside was a difficult steep driveway located off a busy road around a curve. However, it was manageable.
