Sunrise Getaway is an amazing unique lake house with indoor pool is set-up to entertain. Theatre Room, 2 Living Rooms, Indoor Swimming Pool, Indoor Raquet Ball Court, Shuffleboard, Outdoor Hot Tub set in deck, 2,000SF of deck across the whole front, Outdoor Grilling Area, all sets on almost 200 feet of waterfront view of Shangrila, Huge Dock for use during your stay with dive platform. 2 1/2 bath, 3 King Beds and 2 Queen Beds, we do not allow the couches and furniture to be used for beds. Sleeps 10 max. Family Fun!

The communication prior to and during our stay was outstanding! Our family rented this property to celebrate an 80th Birthday and the home had features that pleased everyone even though we didn't have favorable weather. From the indoor pool to the racketball court, we had plenty to keep us busy. The layout was unique in that the Primary Bedroom is accessible through the pool room which was a bit slippery for the Grandparents. This BR can also be accessed by the outside deck, so we made it all work. Looking forward to planning the next family get together so we can rent this property again.

Fantastic House for a group

We had a large group that stayed at the house. We also rented the additional three rooms upstairs. The big deck was perfect for gathering with everyone. The large dock was wonderful to hang out on late into the evening. The gas station at serenity point is very close walk. This is very convenient for fueling the boat but also for any last minute snacks/drinks. The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. If we need this large of a place again, we would certainly stay here again. We had several small children in the group which did require some extra caution (indoor pool w/o pool cover, un-railed large drop from property to water/ground level, long stair cases, spiral staircases, moderate gap in certain railings). The kids loved watching movies in the theatre room and playing in the racquetball court. I would highly recommend this location but if traveling with very little kids, I would recommend you look the pictures closely and be ready to provide a little extra attention.

Incredible, Relaxing Time

Our time here was absolutely amazing. We had four adults and five children, ages 6 to 12, and there wasn't a single "I'm bored." The property is certainly unique in its offerings, and the views are breathtaking. The property owners were very helpful and accessible. Our group has already begun to plan this summer's trip to visit the property again. Can't wait to add in fun on the lake to an already memorable time. Side note: there were 6 phones and 3 I-pads and the total time spent on them was less than 2 hours across 4 days. Thank you much, Rebecca.

So Much to Do, So Little Time

The property is the most unique we have ever rented. We never spent a minute bored because there is so much to do. We rented the owner's pontoon boat and spent days cruising around the lake, we had pickleball tournaments on the racquetball court, dips in the indoor pool (the pool is not heated so it can be chilly at times) and leisurely soaks in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and we were grateful for the quality of pots and pans, etc. The layout of the house took some getting used to but overall we were very happy with the property. We especially enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it is and so convenient to just walk next door to the marina for ice or whatever we needed at the moment. We definitely recommend this property.

Property was great for handling 10 people. Had some issues with sewer system but was handled quickly and efficiently. Staff was friendly and apologetic for the inconvenience of them working on the issue.

Great home with lots to do

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The pool was fantastic, we were concerned about the pool temp because of prior reviews but when we arrived it was really warm. It cooled down a bit over night and we called the property manager and she had someone come by and check and turn it up a bit. We appreciated the fast response. Hot tub was perfect. the house is designed so everything is close to the kitchen. It feels like you are together even when you are in different areas of the house. Thank you.

Lovely little getaway...

Breathe taking scenery. Nice home. (Odd layout) Overall we enjoyed our stay, but probably would not choose to stay again.. Suggestions: “Heated pool” may need to be reworded in listing. Pool was definitely too cold to swim in. May be have a list of how to use for different things... example the fire place. Communication was just ok, but I felt like I may have annoyed owners with all of my questions.

Peaceful and beautiful property.

This home did not disappoint! Very clean, the kitchen has pretty much all the things you need to make any food you wish. The deck is the star of this home..its huge and has the best view! You will only be bored at This property if you want to be. There is so much to do from fishing off the dock, shuffleboard, badminton, volleyball, racketball, watching tv in the theater and let's not forget the wonderful pool! This was the perfect place to just recharge. The host Rebecca was fabulous! I cant say enough good things.

Nice house with beautiful view

We had a very nice time staying at this house. Beautiful view, fishing off the dock, racquetball, theatre room, hot tub were a nice addition especially with having a 3 year old with us. However, we could not get in the pool because it was way too cold. The outdoor furniture had spiders/spiderwebs all over so we had to wash/wipe off. Since there aren’t any places close by to eat at, we brought all our food, wish there were better quality pots/pans. Could have more basic essentials i.e. condiments, foil, sandwich bags. Also, was wanting to play shuffleboard, but not enough salt on the board. Overall, we had a very nice time relaxing and enjoying the view!

Beautiful house, Spectacular views..Not all listed amenities are accurate

We wanted a house on the lake, with three bedrooms facing the lake, modern deco, a deck, indoor heated pool, fireplace, firepit, and media room. This house checked all those boxes and then some. This was the high caliber house we were looking for & felt lucky that we found it so last minute. Though the price was high we felt it was worth it for the all the amenities and the heated pool. But things were not as it seems. The bedrooms had large windows facing the lake however the windows were full of cobwebs, dirt, and some gross red stuff. We messaged the owner & she sent someone to clean it but they didn’t get rid of the gunk. So I got on the 2nd floor deck & cleaned the windows myself. I was able to clean the windows closer to the deck but couldn’t reach the ones farther away. But I was able to clean one window & got to enjoy the view of the lake! The gas fire pit & the living room fireplace didn’t work. Notified owner but at the end we weren't able to use these amenities, though we paid for it. The nights were in the 50s & it would have been nice if we could have used them. Our biggest disappointment was the pool. The pool water was ICE COLD. In the listing description, it stated that it was a HEATED INDOOR POOL. When we got to the house, initially the owner said there was no way to heat the pool water. When I told her we found the heating mechanism for the pool water, she said she doesn’t know how to turn it on & went on to say she never wrote “heated pool” in the VRBO listing. So I sent her a screenshot of the description which clearly states Heated Pool. I even offered to pay additional money for her to heat the pool water. she agreed and said the pool guy would come the next day to heat up the water but he never came. FYI, the kayaks and canoe are not included even though they are listed as amenities in the listing. I did call VRBO to clarify what exactly is included in the price we paid. VRBO customer rep said heated pool, kayaks, and fire pit were all included. FYI, VRBO rep also told us to take a video of the house before leaving for our protection and only communicate through the app. Being that this is our first time renting through this service, we did both. Beautiful House, spectacular views but not all amenities listed are available or working.

Grand Lake 2020

The property is pretty close to as listed. If you plan on taking a boat there really is not a place to park the boat when it is not in the water as it is a very steep incline with limited parking. We launched the boat in Grove and then parked at the provided boat dock. Rebecca was great giving us the info. The property is beautiful, however the main reason we spent the extra money on this property is for the indoor heated pool, the problem was the pool was not working therefore we could not use the pool it was only 73 degrees. Rebecca tried to fix our issue but she could not. Depending on what you like to cook or how much cooking you will do the kitchen is limited. Rebecca did bring us a larger pot for the night we were doing a seafood boil so we just used a few smaller and made it work. All in all the place is beautiful and clean and Rebecca is very helpful just wish for the price we paid the pool would have worked.

Great views and lots to do for active groups

First and foremost, we had a great time! The views were amazing! We loved the racketball court, we used it to play volleyball, badminton and racketball. We also had an amazing time playing corn hole and shuffle board. We spent a lot of time relaxing out on the deck, eating, drinking and playing games, there were plenty of seating options outside. We were disappointed that we weren’t able to use the indoor swimming pool because it was just too cold. We couldn’t get the temperature in the room hot enough to make the water comfortable. Also we knew there wasn’t any place close to go eat so we had planned to cook all our meals at the house. The cookware options were not as good as expected and there was a very limited amount of storage containers. We were also not able to fit all the food and drink we brought in the one refrigerator/freezer.

Grand Lake Experience

Very perfect! We wanted a get away where we didn’t have to leave the house much for entertainment. We only left once to get a prescription filled and everyone wanted to go back immediately! So much to do inside and outside the house. Beautiful, inviting, warm, and thoughtful are discriptors. Great homeowners who really took care of us while we were there. And the views!!!!! Definitely a great experience had by all seven of us.

Amazing house

This house has A LOT of amenities which is nice if the weather doesn't cooperate. A few things on the property aren't yet completed, but this is due to covid which is unavoidable. There were a couple of supplies that we requested and the property owners brought them to us almost immediately. Serenity Point marina is right next door which is nice for renting toys, purchasing snacks, etc.... The house is tricky to find but the owners provided a step by step video of how to get to the property! We wouldn't have found it without it!
