4 acre lakefront property in the heart of the white mountains on Rainbow Lake. Fish, swim, kayak, or just relax at a cool 7000 foot elevation in the heart of Lakeside-Pinetop AZ. Enjoy a beautiful vintage cabin with incredible hand made sandstone fireplace, a huge redwood deck with wrap around seating, and four fenced acres to let the kids and dogs run free. A truly unique Arizona high country treasure. Co-owner lives in small cabin nearby in case of issues but does not intrude on your guest experience . Keyless entry codes are given to guests,
The white mountains are Arizona's premier year round outdoor playground. There is snow skiing at Sunrise Resort, Arizona's largest ski resort. There are alpine lakes and streams for fishing, boating and camping. There are hundreds of miles of hiking trails to explore. There is abundant wildlife including elk, deer, antelope and the rare gray wolf.
In the Lakeside- Pinetop and nearby Show Low there are many excellent restaurants antique shops, and venues to explore.

Weekend on the lake

Older, but very nice cabin on Rainbow Lake! Beautiful, fenced property right on the lake. Brought our large dog, she loved being able to run around.

Absolutely had the best time here

Wanted a cozy fishing area to stay in, this place did not disappoint. Row boats to go fish in the lake, lots of land for the dogs and fam to roam, cozy house to setup a fire and eat smores. Total package here. Will be back.

Another amazing visit!

This was our second stay at Ruby’s and like the first time it was incredibly relaxing. We and our two dogs felt very welcome and the cabin has so many nice touches. The deck is awesome and the view of the lake from the cabin beautiful. We are looking forward to our next visit. Shari and Jim are great hosts.

A Little R&R

Great cabin on the lake!

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at this cabin. We have two dogs, who loved checking out the critters and the lake. The fact that the site was large yet fully enclosed was a real plus for us. Other places may have a fenced in area behind the house, but here the dogs could enjoy the entire property with us and did not need to be leashed.

Amazing!

The pictures do not do Ruby or the lake justice. It was absolutely perfect - quiet and peaceful. My husband fished pretty much 24-7 and caught enough to keep him happy. Our dogs absolutely loved it and the geese and other wildlife were charming and entertaining. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you Shari and Jim!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is our second trip there and we'll be scheduling our third! We love the privacy yet there are plenty of places nearby if you need anything. The lake and the wildlife around you is pretty cool! And our dog loves it too!

Better than expected

Initially we were overly happy with this property due to the pictures not doing it justice. It’s absolutely beautiful and perfect for a relaxing stay. Being that they allow dogs made it even better. Highly recommended.

Just another day in Paradise

We absolutely loved the property and the history of the area. The lake is beautiful and so relaxing and peaceful. Our small dog loved her multiple swims everyday and we enjoyed the wildlife and the slow pace of the canoes, paddle boards, kayaks and pontoons. People were out fishing from morning until well into the night. The cabin is totally stocked with anything you might need. You step into a time capsule that is so well preserved and tastefully decorated. We highly recommend this rental and hosts.

This place is fantastic! Nature all around and very private, the deck overlooking the lake was the best. We never turned the TV on, everything we needed to see was outside or on the lake. I've stayed in many places in the area and this was the best!

We loved Rubys. Very clean everything you need is in the cabin. Beautiful property. Owner of property was very accommodating. Checkin and out was very simple. We would have liked the fence to be more secure for our large dogs. Over all very relaxing and fun stay!

Sweet spot on the lake

Cozy cabin during cold nights!

Beautiful fireplace and plenty of good wood. It was cold outside mid November, but inside was warm and comfortable. We’ve been here before and really enjoy the ambiance of this little cabin. We’ll keep coming back!

Cozy Retreat

Ruby's Cabin at the Lake has everything you need for a nice relaxing retreat. From the rustic feels from the log cain and fireplace to the modern tech of tv with Dish, Roku, Netflix, etc, a powerful little microwave and dishwasher. We arrived just after it snowed so our kids and dogs had loads of snow to play with! The property feels much bigger than 4 Acres! There are a lot of hungry ducks and geese to feed (plus one duck who loves to laugh at everything you do! It was a hoot!). There is just so much to enjoy at Ruby's and not enough space to write! The hosts are amazing. They do absolutely everything they can to make sure you have a wonderful stay. We left feeling like we stayed 4 days instead of the weekend. ❤️
