This quaint 100-yr hold farmhouse turned cozy cabin has all the amenities you need for a stay near Asheville. We were in a small home in the country and were a 10-20 minute drive to just about everywhere in the area. Renee and David are great hosts too. We loved it so much we may come back!
We loved this house! Spacious, well equipped, clean and a quiet retreat with a nice property to relax and enjoy nature. The owner responded quickly and everything was comfortable and smooth. Would highly recommend if you want a farm house charm experience!
Great place to stay. Renee was very easy to contact and was quick to answer questions. Only minor issue was WiFi and she kept trying to correct it. Not really a big problem for us but if you need it for any work reasons you might want to check first. We would highly recommend it the house for a place to stay.
Great old farmhouse. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I will say, as I get older and hope to stay there again, I hope they put in a restroom downstairs in the laundry room. But, all in all, this was a great find.
We were pleasantly surprised by this quaint mountain farmhouse that was super close to everything we wanted to do including visiting Biltmore House, downtown Asheville and Shoji Spa and yet we still felt it was secluded and quiet. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the morning and early evening. There were also great food options within 5-10 minutes of the home and the owners were super easy to work with and very responsive to all our questions. We would definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for a relaxing mountain escape.
I recommend this farmhouse/cabin. I do want to caution future renters that there is a cottage attached so there is a feeling of someone right there. The wifi was very spotty even though the owner came and reset--so kind of her--it still didn't work well.
But so much to recommend--and the free range chicken wandering around is cool.
We loved the vintage home with modern amenities - and what a beautiful property!! It was nice to be in nature with some peace and quiet, yet have such easy access to Asheville. And we were best friends with the local flock of hens by the time we left! Great stay, thank you for having us. 🙂
The communication with the homeowner was fantastic! We had no problems with anything during our stay. She checked in on us to make sure all was good. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make our Thanksgiving dinner. The location was close to everything we wanted to do. Can’t wait to book again.
We loved our stay here. It was an older cabin but that gave it so much character! Sitting on the porch was so relaxing, just rocking away in the chair or swinging on the porch swing! Just added to the ambiance. It was also in a great location, easy access to restaurants and any shopping needed. Check in was super easy. The host was quick to respond to any questions I had and the place has EVERYTHING you could need. We will definitely be back!
What it's not: modern, bougie, upscale, opulent.
What it is: an impeccably clean, quirky old farmhouse with uneven floors and undying charm. I would give six stars if I could.
This was a perfect location for our family. The house was quiet, with a Mountain View, but within 15 min of everything. The price was truly a steal. It’s a an adorable old farm house, with the added bonus of very friendly neighbor chickens. Our son got a real kick out of watching them every morning. We will try and book everytime we ar e back.
This property was extremely clean. The location is great. This property is close to town, but far enough out you aren't bothered by traffic.Renee was a great host. She checked in with us on the second day. She provided everything we needed for our stay. The floors are uneven as many other guests stated, but that was not a problem for us. We had a great stay! We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area. Thanks renee for everything.
Great location and loved the home location. Very clean! Great front porch and view!! Love the chickens!!! This is a old farm house with lovely updates. Please note uneven floors and only bathroom is upstairs. Not the best for anyone mobility impaired because of potential for trips on floor or from stairs.
This is a great little house. Perfect location to everything. Easy to get to. Quiet at night after traffic calms. Owners are right next door in case of any need or concern. Very clean. Does not have a "smell". Really is a home away from home. Creaky upstairs floors, beautiful stairway, some slope in the floors, chickens like to welcome you home each night, It's a great getaway place. I will be back.
My husband and I just got back from our stay! It is a lovely little farmhouse! The original floors upstairs and woodwork are gorgeous! As others have said the floors are a bit uneven but it's not bad at all. We had a couple of minor issues at check-in but the owner was very responsive and everything was taken care of within an hour. The house was a bit further from downtown Asheville than I expected but it was nice to get out of town and to be able to see the mountains!
