Lakefront Home on Lake Sakakawea in Douglas Bay near Garrison, ND

This home is your perfect summer getaway or your perfect winter retreat! It is the ideal place to stay for summer water recreation and fishing, pheasant hunting in the fall, or ice fishing in the winter! It is located on Lake Sakakawea in Douglas Bay which is a 20 minute drive from Garrison, ND. This beautiful home sits right on the shoreline for beautiful views and easy access to the water.

The private docks in front of the cabin are NOT available for use.

It features 3,000 square feet of finished living space. The main floor has a mud room/entry with plenty of space for coats, boots, coolers etc. Washer and dryer are located on the main floor and available for use-please bring your own laundry soap if you plan to use it. It also has a beautiful kitchen with all the necessary appliances, pots and pans, dishes etc., a counter with 2 stools, and a dining table that seats 6. An electric fireplace is located in the kitchen/dining area. The main floor also features a large family room area and a small TV room. There is also 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed and 1 full sized bathroom located on the main floor.

The upstairs features a full sized bathroom and 2 more bedrooms. One bedroom has a king bed and the other has a queen.

The downstairs family room area has been turned into a family style bedroom featuring a king bed, a queen bed, and a twin bed. There is a full bathroom downstairs as well and a non-egress bedroom with a queen bed.

Off the main floor is a front deck with patio furniture seating and a screened in porch. The screened in porch features 2 large outdoor tables with seating for 12. The gas grill is located by the patio and is available for use. An outdoor firepit area with seating is also available for use.

This is a non-smoking home and there are no pets allowed inside the home.

Wifi is available at slower speeds. There are two flat screen TV's in the home. One is located in the master bedroom on the second floor and the other is in the TV room on the main floor. The TV's are both equipped with DVD players to access your own Netflix account.

Spring Getaway

Spacious house for large groups. Easy access to shoreline. Parking can get tight if everyone drives seperate but it worked. Overall worked good for our fishing weekend.

Quick trip

Everything was awesome. The only thing that I can suggest is an upgrade on the grill available for guest use. It is the same one we used in 2020 and it needs a new grate ( it was rusty). The house is comfortable, deck great, view to die for. So we will definitely return.

Great Property

It was a perfect property for our group of hunters. We had a place to come "home" to after a long day in the outdoors where we could eat and socialize all together. It was nice not having to eat out at a restaurant every night and not being confined to a small hotel room.

Fall Fishing Trip

We loved the location…being on the water with plenty of space. The home had all we needed to be comfortable and able to prepare our own meals. Too bad the weather was not cooperative, as we did not get to enjoy the fire pit or deck furniture. We would stay again!

Wonderful Lake House

Our family ranging from 5 - 75 years old thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful lake house. The spaciousness provided ample space for us to be together or separate throughout our visit. The view of the sunset on the lake was spectacular. So much space inside and out to just have fun and enjoy our time together. Location to grocery market was reasonable and communication with owner was outstanding throughout the entire process. We hope to return in the years to come!

First, Mike was an extraordinary host. He was very accommodating and went way above and beyond any expectations for a typical host. The actual property was fantastic. Beautiful sunsets over the mountains/lake every night. Close to the Garrison town. House had everything needed for a great week(laundry machines, stocked kitchen pots/pans/utensils, etc etc). Highly recommended

Beautiful property

10 of us rented this property for a duck hunting trip. It is fantastic, has all the imenities needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of room for a group setting or privacy. Great view of the lake, lots of parking, will definitely book again. The owners were polite, helpful and responsive to all inquiries. A+++

Great Location

Five siblings and spouses (from WY, MN, ND) met up here for a long weekend. The home was large and comfortable enough for the ten of us. The view was beautiful. We enjoyed talking around the fire pit and playing yard games. Even though there are neighbors, it felt very private. The hosts were accommodating to our needs and promptly responded to our questions.
