The Bryson City Farmhouse - Railroad History in Downtown!
Our doors opened in June 2018 after 457 days of restoration! Featured in Our State's Around Town series and American Farmhouse, Sixty-One Park is a historic farmhouse located in the heart of downtown Bryson City. Bryson City has been called “The Tiny Town in the Middle of Everything” and Sixty-One Park is right downtown, just a short walk to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, breweries, local parks and all the cutest shops and restaurants. Perfect set up for a family vacation or a trip with friends!
The Sixty-One Park Farmhouse has been fully brought up to date with all modern comforts while keeping all the farmhouse character. The farmhouse has 4 bedrooms and sleeps eight comfortably. The downstairs has an open floor plan with the kitchen, living room, dining room and game room. The farmhouse has multiple living areas for reading, resting and personal space. A large screen TV is located in the living room. We’ve stocked the farmhouse with books and board games as well. We’ve tried to think of every detail that will make your stay perfection. In the warmer months our succulent wall and National Park-inspired charcoal grill make for great entertaining. In November and December the house is fully decked out for Christmas and the Polar Express.
From Sixty-One Park you can walk to the nearby seasonal Friday farmers’ market for fresh produce from our local farmers, honey from our local beekeepers and crafts from local artisans. Walk along the river and put your feet in the cool water at nearby Island Park. Hop in the car and drive just 2.5 miles to the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Three waterfalls are within a short hiking distance and in the spring/summer you can bring your inner tube to float down the gentle rapids of Deep Creek. Nearby favorite day trips include Cherokee, Gatlinburg, and Asheville.
There is an external security camera actively recording the driveway outside of the house.

Everything we wanted to do/see was within walking distance of this location. We had a wonderful time riding the train and sight-seeing. Highly recommend this property, it was clean, cozy, and felt like being right at home.
The property exceeded our expectations from the online description. It was super clean, roomy and conveniently located, within walking distance, to downtown Bryson City. We hope to stay again soon!!
This home is wonderful! Such a nicely updated property with great proximity to downtown Bryson City. We enjoyed staying here and will definitely return.
We loved the place! It was clean, inside and out, and it seems to have been recently renovated and they did a great job. We loved the layout and the attention to detail. Everything worked and we would come back anytime.
We had a wonderful time! House was clean and fully stocked! Beautifully decorated for Christmas! Great location as we were able to walk to town for the Polar Express! Perfect for a family weekend getaway!
Perfect location for exploring Deep Creek's trio of waterfalls, and the Nantahala River Gorge. Wish we would have had one more day so we could check out all the interesting shops in downtown Bryson City. House was charming, cozy and exceptionally clean.
Loved the home-spacious, very clean, and well decorated; location was perfect for tubing at Deep Creek and whitewater rafting at NOC; enjoyed walks downtown; close to Darnell Farms (a must whenever in the area); granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed the nice flat backyard for playing volleyball.
We took the grandkids (2 of which are crazy for trains) to ride the Polar Express and this property was perfect! From the close proximity (walking distance), to all the train related toys and books, the kids loved it! The house has tons of history and the owners took great care to preserve it. Every detail has been considered to make guests feel at home.
This property and house was amazing! From the location, the cleanliness, the layout for each family! We had a thxgiving and vacation to remember. The host is wonderful and has thought of every detail you would need! Our families had a blast and look forward to returning soon!! I would give the house 10 stars if I could!
My family and I were thrilled to stay in another of Ashley's properties. We come to Bryson City every summer, and our best experiences have been when we stay at Hazel House and now the Farmhouse. The property is perfectly clean every time and well stocked. The beds are also beautifully comfortable, and we all slept great. We are looking forward to booking again for next summer!
This place was the best VRBO we have ever booked. We got exactly what we expected and then some. We met 2 of the owners and you couldn't ask for nicer people. Four of us travel together and we can't stop talking about it. If we were ever to come back to this area this will be the place we stay.
7 women in their 70 came together to celebrate their 60+ years of friendship. The location of the farmhouse is perfect. Easily walked to town and restaurants. Charming house. Owner/ hostess very easily to communicate with. Had everything we needed for a perfect weekend!! Bryson City is also a charming little mountain town.
This property was wonderful. Made our family trip to The Polar Express train so comfortable and convenient. We walked to everywhere downtown and the trains. Our grandchildren loved the toys and we all
slept so good on the amazing mattress/beds. So comfortable!
This property was beyond my expectation , the fact that its over 100 years old and you see how the owners remodeled this home , we were in awe. We walked in and felt the warmth and beauty in this home, its decorated so perfect and beyond clean is an understatement . We will be back
A beautiful historic home in a fantastic location made our getaway very enjoyable. Everything we needed was there. We had six adult guests and there was plenty of room inside or outside to enjoy each other’s company without feeling cramped. Town was walkable from the home (there is a bit of a hill on the return trip). The kitchen was well appointed and had what we needed. We easily parked three MINI Coopers in the driveway. We very much enjoyed the historic pieces around the home and the railroad theme. We plan to return!
We came to Bryson City to celebrate my Mother-In-Law’s 90th birthday, with a train ride to the Nantahala Outdoor Center. The Bryson City Farmhouse was the perfect home for our son, his wife & 2 children, ages 21 & 14 to stay at during our family gathering on the Great Smokey Mountain Railway. The home was very neat, clean, decor was perfect & just a short walk from the train depot. They absolutely loved the home, with all its unique history. Thank you all!
