The morning sunrises are perfect as you drink your coffee from the screened in lakeside porch. Grill your favorite foods right from our back deck, or visit the many local restaurants. Smart TV,Wi/Fi, washer/ dryer/air conditioning. Walking Trail right out the door just steps down the quiet road. You will be close to wineries, breweries, local shops, several golf courses, downtown Traverse City and the iconic Village at Grand Traverse Commons. Sleeping bear dunes National Lakeshore, Lake Michigan, Leland, Frankfort, Crystal Mountain are just minutes away. Wonderful September mini vacation

We had great weather and were able to take full advantage of the kayaks and rowboat. The cottage was clean and well equipped, including wood for a fire. There was a spectacular sunrise to start the day. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful Lake Cottage

This is our second year visiting this lovely cabin on Bass lake. It is comfortable, always perfectly clean, well stocked kitchen and free use of kayaks that we used every day. It is only 20 minutes into Traverse City. A quiet location in a lovely area of Michigan. We recommend it highly!

Wonderful stay!

We loved staying at this rental! Very clean, well stocked with all kitchen supplies, towels, and even extra things like coloring supplies for the kids. All the outdoor items provided like kayaks, lounge chairs, firewood, etc were great! The street is quiet and we enjoyed the neighbors we met. The only downside was some of the curtains don’t block much light so bring your own if you need complete darkness for sleeping. Looking forward to staying here again !

We have stayed in several VRBO properties and this was by far one the best properties we have visited. House was clean and well stocked. Location was far enough outside of town for peaceful relaxation yet close enough to everything. Would highly recommend this property.

Great cottage

We had a wonderful time, the cottage was perfect for our family. The lake is beautiful and the kids loved playing in the water. The dock was easy to tie our boat to. The screened in porch was definitely our favorite place. We can't wait to be back next year!

Relaxing

My husband and cousin stayed here for several days, and used the cottage as a base for visiting local wineries. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. Lots of amenities, and not just one roll of toilet paper! It probably was the most well equipped of any VRBO unit that I’ve ever stayed in. The highlight of the cottage was the screened in back deck that overlook looked a tranquil lake. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening drinks out on this deck. We also enjoyed watching the local geese and ducks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs to place to stay up in the Traverse City area. We hope to return again, someday.

Great property. Nice house. 2 suggestions...put a hand rail. on the stairs going down to the lake. Also put higher wattage lamps in the bedrooms. It's difficult to read in bed. Otherwise it was wonderful staying there.

The property is in a great location, and easy to communicate with the owners. It is very clean and well appointed inside, which makes for a comfortable stay. The access to water is easy and the listening yo the loons is enjoyable. Overall, it is great for the family and recommend.

We just loved the lake house. It was so clean & looked exactly like the on line photos. Being right on the lake was so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch every morning while we enjoyed our coffee. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing weekend.

Just book it- you won’t regret it! Immaculately clean, all the little touches that made it so accommodating, comfortable beds, completely renovated/ updated and beautiful view- screened in porch, excellent location and so many hooks for hanging towels/ clothes etc. which I loved, clean coffee pot! Such a beautiful place. My sister and I stayed with our mom here for Mother’s Day & we wouldn’t change a thing! Would love to come back ! Thank you so much to the wonderful hosts !

This cottage is just darling. We were VRBO newbies and didnt quite know what to expect with renting a place. But, we couldn't have asked for more! It was the little things for us, like having boxes of kleenex in all rooms, hair dryers in both bathrooms and frozen mugs in the freezer for our beer! The pantry has supplies & the kitchen is well stocked with all your needs. The cottage was super clean & decorated so cute. The view is beautiful & the setting was so peaceful. We even got a gorgeous sunrise on Sunday morning. Dean & Renee were easy to communicate with & answered all our questions before & during our stay. This is definitely a place we would love to visit again!! 5 out of 5 stars.

Peaceful getaway

My husband and I have stayed in a lot of places, this by far is the cleanest we have ever stayed in! Dean and Renee were on top of all communication. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. Watching the sun come up over the lake with a cup of coffee is great for the soul. We will definitely return.

Peaceful Cabin on Bass Lake

This cabin had everything we had hoped for. It Is very comfortable, enjoyed the fireplace and having it right on the lake with kayaks (if only the weather were better). The lake is so beautiful and the screen porch and the covered outdoor swing were so nice. There is even a well marked trail in the Forest Preserve across the street. We loved our week there and plan to be back next summer.

Neighbors Getaway

Neighbors wanted a get away for a few days and found this cute cottage on Bass Lake. Dean and Renee were wonderful and the cottage was spotless. We were surprised to find that it was furnished with everything that we needed. Already miss sitting on the screened porch staring at the water or watching the sun rise. Highly recommend this wonderful cottage on a beautiful lake.

We loved this home! We rent homes several times each year and this home was by far the most stocked we’ve ever stayed at! Everything from necessities to beach towels to coloring and art supplies for the kids. The neighborhood was quiet, we loved the available kayaks/paddleboat, and sitting in the screened in porch was lovely. Will definitely stay again!

Bass Lake is a 350 acre all sports lake but is peaceful and scenic. You will love the location so close to Traverse City.

What makes this property unique

Brand new interior is clean & comfy ( new LVT flooring through-out, new stainless steel appliances, quartz counter tops & tiled baths )
The lakeside screened deck is just a wonderful space to enjoy.
The neighborhood is safe and quiet. Near the end of the lake road so no traffic sounds just local paved road usage.
Ideal location to do a variety of afternoon or day trips then come back to a relaxing view of the lake.
