The location was far enough from town to feel secluded but close to all of the action and trails. We appreciated the ground coffee that was provided and good supply of dishes and pans. The hot tub was amazing after a long day of hiking. I would recommend this vrbo!
Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay here at the cabin. Bob was very responsive leading up to our trip and everything on the property had very clear instructions. He recommended Delauders bbq which is a can’t miss! And each room had its own king bed which was awesome (the kids loved it!). The view of the mountains and the stars was spectacular! We loved it here!
We loved this location. It was close enough to the city but far enough away to enjoy nature. Every morning my husband and I would sit on the porch drinking coffee and enjoying the wonderful view. Loved the book they have were you can read previous renters experiences and suggestions. We already plan on booking again.
Cabin was great and view was even better. Host communicated all details and made check in very easy. Cabin would also be great for 2 couples as each bedroom had a separate private bath. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great view
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy clean cabin. We recommend it most definitely! Beautiful views and had a bear come visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The home was very clean and nicely decorated. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was practically new. And the view was gorgeous. Our host, Bob was extremely helpful. We had a mama bear and her cubs climb up on the porch. We got inside just in time! Sadly, by the time I got my phone to take a photo they had ambled off again.
Everything was great! Loved the fact that the owner labeled things and left detailed instructions on the things we needed to know about the house. Bears every day!
Very well located with absolutely wonderful scenery. Have a seat on the deck and you're in the Smokies. Very comfortable and welcoming cabin atmosphere.
If you want an amazing view of the mountains, you have the right place. Cozy and comfortable place. Only issue we had was the drive to get up to the cottage. It is steep drive. Glad we had our Honda Passport.
This was great for our family of 4. The location was great, views were even better. It had everything that we needed!
I do have a couple suggestions for making it more comfortable, which I didn’t take any stats off for because I knew the layout when I booked.
1). If primarily renting to families, consider putting full size or queen size bunk beds.
2). Consider putting a king bed in the primary bedroom. The foam topper caused the sheets to not stay on and they kept slipping off.
3). Consider more comfortable deck seating. The chairs were super uncomfortable and I would have loved to have been able to sit on the deck and look at the incredible views while drinking my morning coffee!
The owner is fabulous with communication, property is clean, the community pool was clean, and hot tub on property was clean. It really did have everything a family of 4 needs.
The cabin is very comfortable and has everything you need.....linens,coffee pot, all kitchen supplies. The view is beautiful. The drive up the mountain is challenging if you are not used to tight bends and inclines. I had a wonderful time.
Loved the area. It’s up in the mountains with twists and turns, but GPS works great and got us right there. Even though there are homes around you, it felt very private. Plenty of dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans. Everything we needed was available. View was excellent from the private deck. The place could use a good thorough cleaning, but otherwise no complaints.
The cabin was clean, well-appointed and very comfortable. The location was close to town and the view was spectacular. We have been to Gatlinburg many times, and this was one of the nicest cabins we have stayed in. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the hot tub! We hope to come back sometime!
This is a great place to relax after hiking in the Smokies all day. The view is fantastic! The beds are super comfortable! Could not have been more pleased.

Hello, We are the Howards, welcome to our cabin Wa-Ta-Vu. We purchased it in July 2007. We have remodeled every room and have decorated it with pictures from local Gatlinburg artists. There are many old pictures of Gatlinburg taken in the 50's. We are constantly working on more changes to the cabin. We are do-it-yourself types and enjoy working on it. Thanks for visiting!! What makes this property unique
The main things we enjoy at the cabin is the peace and solitude. The view is spectacular of Mount Leconte. In the winter with binoculars you can see the lodge on Mount Leconte. We also enjoy sitting in the hottub and just looking at the mountains.
