The Island is a quiet, private gated community w/ residents and short-term renters alike. It is located in Lago Vista TX with direct access to Lake Travis. As such you can enjoy the amenities and the Lake for water fun activities.
COVID protocol is strictly in place. Please respect the cleanliness & the signs posted from gate access to the ground premises. Fines imposed to violators. Have a relaxing visit!.
We are dog friendly but may require a minimal pet fee. Pls. inquire from host prior booking. Thanks!

Very relaxing
We had such a good time. We enjoyed the view of the lake, amenities, meeting the deer and getting to know them up close. They are kind of quiet though but very friendly…... We will for sure come back again.

The condo was warm and clean and welcoming. The photos can be misleading /
We loved the condo. They had snacks for us. But the photos kinda are misleading as the condo does not face the water nor is it on the water. It simply overlooks the center of the complex. We were looking for "on the water."

The island
Overall the property met my expectations. The property pool was not cleaned daily so I did not get to use the pool. Friday the indoor pool has sand in the bottom on Saturday outdoor pool had hair and other debris on the bottom. Recommend both pools be cleaned daily prior to opening. On-site restaurant did not open for food service on Saturday evening due to family emergency. We had to go into town for dinner. Nothing posted on their website to give notice no food service.

Relaxing Trip
This condo has everything you would need. The host has thought of every detail. From candy and snacks to bottled water cold in the refrigerator. We loved feeding the deer (they love oranges) the pools are clean and the entire property is beautifully maintained. The only challenge we had was only one skillet and it has ceramic coating that caused food to stick. We were able to scrub off the food with salt and not damage the pan. We enjoy cooking and a couple other pans that are easier to clean would be nice. However, this is an amazing place with wonderful people and would highly recommend!

The BEST Experience
We VRBO about once a quarter of the year. This was the BEST VRBO spot we've stayed at. The communication was exact, the condo was spotless, smelled clean and had COLD water waiting!! The Hosts were responsive and pleasant. There were supplies in case you forgot something - coffee, filters, toothbrush along with candy and snacks! Pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing. We will definitely reserve this spot again. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

Great communication
The Hosts were great communicators and thought of everything the vacationers would need (snacks, water, guides). There was a smell. The apartment is dog friendly which was awesome! Everything was easily accessible.
