Such a gorgeous place with all the lovely little touches that make it feel extra homey: a well-equipped kitchen, nightlights on the switches, an excellent fireplace. We look forward to coming back!
This house is a lovely place to stay. From the gorgeous views, to the comfortable furniture, to the carefully cultivated decor, to the outstanding location - it's an excellent property. Andrew and Carol are attentive hosts who have thought of everything. As an older house, it is a bit drafty if it is cold or windy, but the stove and the throw blanket take the edge off the chill. We look forward to returning to our home away from home!
We loved staying here and wish we didn’t have to leave so soon! The house is very nicely appointed and the beds were very comfy. It was also one of the cleanest vacation rentals we have ever stayed in and we truly appreciate that, as well as the thoughtful gift of wine left for us by the host. The host was great at communicating about a minor issue of no hair dryer and reimbursed us right away after we bought one. We enjoyed the grill and eating al fresco in the peaceful shaded yard and then watching the sunset from the porch. Such a relaxing place, we highly recommend it!
My family and I have stayed in numerous vacation rentals on Lopez over the years and we all agree that Adam and Carol’s home tops them all. It was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and conveniently located. The decor was charming! The owners were accessible and responsive throughout the rental process. We hope to return! Thank you, Carol and Adam for sharing your lovely home.
We spend a few days every summer on Lopez but this was our 1st time at the Farm House. Because we wanted a little more room for our extended family, we also rented the Boat House. Both houses were immaculately clean and cared for. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable and some of the biggest I've seen. The location is great with an easy walk to the Islander Restaurant and the Marina for Kayak rentals. The best part of our experience was the view of the water and sunsets from the front porch. The owners were very communicative from day one of our reservation and very responsive to all our questions.
We loved our stay at the farmhouse. The location is perfect (right beside the marina), the views are outstanding (great sunsets from the porch), and the remodel has been done so tastefully. We were celebrating a big birthday with the family and it was wonderful. Thank you to Carol and Adam
Had a very special couple of days on Lopez following my brothers wedding there and the 1910 Lopez house was really special. Adam and Carol have gone to great lengths with the details in the house, down to the Monopoly Game which we enjoyed playing!! The period details in the house have been beautifully restored, but there is also every mod con (bar a dishwasher). Location is a couple of minutes from Lopez Village and you can also stroll down Normandy Lane to The Islander for food or drinks. We kayaked with friends and would highly recommend that experience. Lopez is a beautiful place and the island has carefully maintained it’s unique atmosphere. If you want a peaceful, beautiful, period house in a great location then this is the house for you! Would love to return some day.
Lovely house in perfect location on beautiful island
What a lovely house with all the amenities (except for a hairdryer..fyi).
This is a beautifully restored 1910 farmhouse with all the charm one would expect from that era. There are nice little decorative touches everywhere. This is a sweet, cozy house and we were sad to leave.
The beds are very comfortable and the nights are quiet making for a restful sleep.
The location is perfect...a short walk to rent bikes and kayaks...less than a mile from the small village which has many things such as a yummy bakery, several restaurants, coffee shop, book store, ice cream shop, 2 great grocery stores and several other places of interest.
Around the island there are wonderful farms that have beautiful, fresh veggies, local beef, pork and lamb and salmon and halibut.
We had a magical week and hope to come back to this cozy house.
Thank you Carol and Adam.
We had a wonderful time. Owners were welcoming and communicative. House was spotless and beautifully appointed with lovely decor and a well-stocked kitchen. Already dreaming about a return trip someday.
Exactly what I was looking for a relaxing vacation with my family. House was charming, (very) clean, and had everything we needed for our family of four. We watched the sunset every night from the porch.
The kind owners assisted us with information about the ferries and left us a lovely welcoming gift of local wine. They were also very quick to respond to emails.
We explored quite a bit of Lopez Island and the location of the house was perfect for that as well. We all had a great time. Thank you to the owners for sharing your home with us.
Sincerely,
Shannan
We had the loveliest time on Lopez at this marvelous property. The farmhouse is cozy and beautifully decorated, private but still walking distance to the village. The sunsets were magical!
We had a totally delightful stay at Carol and Adam's sweet Lopez Island home. The house is fairytalish and is wonderfully equiped. During our six days there with a friend we cooked up a storm with lamb and vegetables provided by our daughter's Goosefoot Produce. The beds are very comfortable. The half-bath upstairs might be a little cramped for 4 people, but there is a full bath and a third bedroom downstairs. There was a ferry glitch the day we left and Adam kept us up to date on circulating rumours!
We look forward to staying here again. Really dreamy.

Beautiful, comfortable home with amazing views
Our family of four spent a great long weekend on Lopez. The house had everything we needed and more. It felt like staying at a friends vacation home rather than a rental. We picked blackberries and made blackberry cobbler, biked all over the island (even with elementary school aged kids the road felt safe and had wide enough shoulders), hiked the many parks and preserves, and enjoyed sunset from the porch each night. The house is very close to Lopez Village. By bike it took us maybe 7minutes, it's also walkable. Once there we hardly needed our car. Carol suggested that we hike the preserve by the ferry dock after getting in line. That was a much better way to spend the hour then sitting in the car!

Lovely well designed comfortable home with beautiful views
We stayed on Lopez Island for 3 nights and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is super well located, it has beautiful views and is decorated with taste. The house is spacious and has all the amenities you need.
I also don't think we've ever slept in beds that comfortable!
Lopez island is small and beautiful, the people are friendly and everything there is to visit is close by and accessible by bike We're so happy to have stayed in this island and rented Carol and Adam's home.

An amazing place to stay in the heart of Lopez
This is a truly unique and wonderful place to stay. An excellent experience from start to finish. We rented both the farmhouse and the boathouse for a few days with friends. We saw the photos and thought, "This looks great, what a find!" ... we arrived and oh my gosh...were floored with the beauty of the property, the gorgeous house~ inside and out~ and attention to detail. While booking, our questions were answered quickly. The hosts were kind and attentive, above and beyond with all kinds of personal touches and kindness. The house was just amazing. A very well appointed kitchen, old farmhouse feel with every modern convenience and kitchen tool you might need. Comfortable beds, each bedroom is so cute and cozy. The bathroom is modern and great water pressure. The views of the bay are amazing, sitting on the porch and watching the sunset... unbelievable. The home is so very close to everything. This home is a vintage gem updated with modern conveniences. Again, outstanding from start to finish. A place I would come back to in a heartbeat.

Fabulous stay in an extraordinary property!
This was our first visit to the San Juans and Lopez Island and our whole family feels so grateful that we got to stay in such a lovely, comfortable home. It was "wow!"when we arrived and it was sad to leave. Photos do not do justice to this wonderful house and the way it is styled! There are lots of luxurious touches - especially the high quality sheets and towels. Excellent beds and well appointed bedrooms for a super night of sleep. Fans in each bedroom to cool off when needed. Great shower and water pressure. And the house was super clean. Truly one of the best rental experiences in the past 15 years. On top of the great home, you've got this awesome view and front row seat for sunset every day. A big thank you to the extra thoughtful and kind hosts - from the extra touches to the wonderful tips on local wildlife and hikes. One tip for future visitors, make a reservation for dinner at Ursa Minor - one of the best meals of this trip (including Boston, NYC and Seattle).
