Two sisters and one friend stayed at this lovely cottage while exploring Acadia! Place was decorated with a loving touch and everything needed for comfort and enjoyment. Communication with the owner was easy! The nearby town was a plus! Would definitely stay here again!
We had a fantastic fall weekend. The host was gracious and gave us perfect advice for local dining and hiking. The cottage is well appointed with everything you could need. Charming decor. True New England!
Nice house but too many rules and many trip hazards.
We enjoyed our stay in Tremont as this location is close to the Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor where we spent our days exploring the scenic areas, wWe shops and restaurants.

Cute little Home
Cute little Home with lots of Notices to what you can do and not do in the Home. We enjoyed our stay. The reason I give a 3 is because of all the trip hazard rugs piled on top of each other. The rugs were dirty. When following the check out guide and I saw the BedBug spray I froze in place. So we took extra precautions when getting home just in case. Overall it’s an adorable little Home 30 mins from Bar Harbor and Acadia NP!!
Great location in Tremont Maine. The cottage was clean,
beautifully decorated and well equipped. A perfect spot for exploring Acadia, Northeast Harbor and Bar Harbor. Would highly recommend a windjammer cruise on the Margaret Todd in Bar Harbor and dinner at the Little Fern restaurant in the Claremont Hotel. We absolutely loved our three day stay!
What an incredible place! From the moment we arrived, to the moment we left- we felt like we were just there visiting family. Check-in was super straight-forward and easy, and the layout of the house immediately made sense. Being tucked away in a slower paced area was a good break from our busy visits to Bar Harbor. Really enjoyed Beal's Lobster Pier on our first night there. The house is also a very short drive from the Bass Harbor lighthouse which is incredible.
All of the furnishings, appliances, dishes, etc were upscale and felt homey. Not like someone just furnished the place to rent it out.
The owner's were very nice and accommodating, nothing but positive things to say about them.
Overall this place felt like a vacation spot that I'd be excited to return to over and over again.
We couldnt ask for a better location! We spent our days at Acadia National Park but the area was great. Everything was great at the house and even some extras to help eat at home. We appreciate the extra attention taken for the small things and the well labeled info for items to use.
Adorable cottage with lots of charm! A few small issues noted upon arrival, but the host was quick to fix them. It would be nice to have upgraded silverware. The beds were comfy and keeping the windows open helped to keep the rooms cool. We loved the backyard and fire pit! Excellent location, close to hiking and restaurants!
What a gorgeous house! Beautiful decor, super comfy beds, you feel like you've stepped back in time while still enjoying all the comforts of the modern era. Perfect base for our Acadia trip. Host was responsive and attentive. We didn't want to leave.
MDI in 2 days with husband and adult daughter and son
This was a lovely place to stay on the quiet side near Wonderland Trail and Bass Harbor Lighthouse which gave us an opportunity to see a lot in just a couple days The busy-ness of Bar Harbor even before peak season was nice to visit, but not for long If you like a quiet immaculately decorated escape from it all, this is perfect!!
The property was great and exactly as listed. It was an easy drive over to some of the main trails in Acadia and made our weekend very easy! We it had great access to everything we needed!
Lodging and furnishings were great. We had a few issues upon arrival (drinking water, hot water); however, the host was responsive, and we resolved our issues.
If anything, the property listing doesn't fully capture how much space is available. We were surprised at how big the property was!
The whole place is clean and nicely decorated and we loved the kitchen especially. The location is also good, not too long of a drive to get to anything you want to do on the island. Highly recommended!

Why they chose this property
Traveled to Maine with my children and friends! Started vacationing in Maine 20 years ago. Came to Southwest Harbor to sail! Best friends have a large Hinckley sailboat. Maine is the best place for sailing. My favorite spot on the Island is Bass Harbor. Best sunsets on the island. Great access to the ocean and harbor. Being on the end of the Mount Desert Island is truly a magical experience.
