We had a fantastic time. The extra large table was a selling point for us and it didn't disappoint. Many board games and TTRPGs were played this weekend .
The cabin was beautiful, even had a Christmas tree. Very nice fireplace and large TV with comfortable seating. Porches were very nice with plenty of seating. Hot tube was big and clean, although we ended up not using it. Nice game room. There were only two complaints: the mattresses in two of the three bedrooms we used were uncomfortably firm and the commode in the lower level bathroom is unsteady. Overall, we had a lovely time and would stay there again.
Family get together, Rain forcasted but it did not stop us from having a great time. Used Hot tub, played cards on the deck and inside. Great kitchen area and dining area . Bedrooms provided good beds for rest and a place to get some private time alone. All in all a great house in the woods.
The lovely Catbird Cabin…where do I begin…so incredibly secluded and beautiful! It is everything you would think and want a luxury cabin in the woods to be! This trip only consisted of my husband and myself and our 2 pups, however it very comfortably, would sleep 12. We didn’t even go into 3 of the 4 bedrooms, but glanced in them, and were incredibly impressed. We plan to come back with my in laws and their families. Our pups loved exploring the woods surrounding. Something to note; the land around is steep. As is the driveway. Be aware. Not much flat land to be had if that’s at all a concern. Hot tub was nice. Very clean and tidy. Updated flooring and furniture as well which was a nice surprise! It’s around a 20-30 minute drive to the majority of “bigger hiking attractions”. The charcoal grill is a little smaller and not covered FYI as the weather stopped us from being able to utilize it. Kitchen was well equipped. We would absolutely love to come back!

Not Clean
We have stayed at lots of properties in the Hocking Hills areas and have always had a wonderful experience, this one fell short. It almost appeared that they had not cleaned at all. The floors were so dirty, our feet and socks were black the first day we got there. The fan had inches of dust on it. There were pretzels under the lamp on the side tables. It was very disappointing. Our other problem was with their check out procedures. We always clean up and leave the places in good condition but the ask of this was nothing I've ever had before. They requested that we clean/wipe down the microwave, stove, oven and fridge before we leave as well as clean all the dishes and put them away. Typically the ask is that we start the dishwasher when we leave which we always do but this just seemed a bit over the top especially since the property was not very clean to begin with. Again, we have stayed at a lot of HH properties and really enjoyed them so I don't think we will stay at any of these again.
Our stay was perfect. The cabin was clean and well maintained. Plans were easy to arrange and the host answered all questions in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others.
Relaxing & tucked away cabin w/ 2 bathrooms. 1st floor 1 bedroom and bathroom, basement 2 bedrooms ( 1 king & 1 double Queen) w/ bathroom. Kinda chilly in the basement in winter months but one heater was provided. SHOWERS WERE CLEAN but Bring your shower shoes if you have an issue with lightly stained tubs- AGAIN, SHOWERS WERE CLEAN THOUGH!! Upstairs has 1 double Queen. Great stay for my party of 6 ( 3 couples so we all had our own floor but walls are thin!) No TV’s in bedrooms and it’s VERY DARK in the rooms so if you are used to some sort of noise or a TV at night bring your laptop to log into your streaming service to let it play at night. Well stocked kitchen!!! Only thing we brought was our air fryer:). Loved how one side of the porch was screened in and the other side was open. Didn’t need to contact management for anything. Christmas tree was still up for our NYE stay so that was nice and festive :) Will definitely stay again!
We had a relaxing enjoyable time! The cabin had everything we needed to make our Thanksgiving a success. Property owner was available for a maintenance call when needed. The only thing that could have been better (a d this is a small small item) is the dusting of the ceiling fans. With that being said, I wod go back again
Steep is an accurate description of the driveway but the cabin is tucked away in a private location which was nice. It had everything we needed for a short weekend stay. Some of the items were a little worn but everything was in working condition.
Our family had a very pleasant stay. Both the location and cabin was ideal for us and very glad we got to bring our pup. Most of the information was as represented, but I would recommend calling ahead to confirm details (grill, coffee maker, game equipment, etc) Also, while the listing calls for up to 10 occupants the price only covers the first six.
Great long weekend pour group consisted of four couples ranging in age from 55 to 71. We had a a few minor problems, including tripping one circuit breaker, but all were resolved quickly. The driveway was steep as advertised and only partially paved, but it wasn't cold, so there weren't any problems.
It is a little difficult seeing the sign for the cabin from the road, but you know when you missed it if you're using a navigation system.
The kitchen was adequate, and we prepared all of our meals right there. We also used the charcoal grill.
None of us used the hot tub.
Hocking Hills is about 30-35 minutes away. A few of us went to Rockbridge State Nature Preserve, which is about 18 minutes away by car, and hiked around.
Yes, we would book again.
Great cabin. Everyone had enough room, but it would have been nice to have another bathroom next to the second floor bedroom. Plenty of towels, comfortable beds, however we were just a little disappointed by the amount of old cobwebs and spider (mice?) droppings on the exterior deck areas. Looked like no one had swept the area for a while. But, on the positive side, my family and I had a wonderful time!
