Historic Route 66 location

We felt comfortable and it was nice and cool inside. Everything looked clean. We really didnt use the kitchen. This was just a one night stop on our way to Oregon. We ate out at Macaroni Joe's. It was pricey but very good food and service. Loved the atmosphere there also.

Perfect rental!! Clean, location and cool vibe!!

We had our family in the other duplex and would go back and forth between them! We walked up and down 6th street to visit all the great shops and restaurants! Will definitely be back to Amarillo and will only rent here! Thanks for our home away from home!!

Winter Stay

Super cute, charming house .. absolutely adorable! It was clean .. easy to find .. and owners were VERY easy to communicate with. Parking was up front and offered an easy off load and loading for our luggage. Location was PERFECT in terms of being in the center of Amarillo and easy access to all points, even to Paulo Duro Canyon, with shops and restaurants all around! We did have ONE night where we had a 2am scare .. random panhandler looking for money banging on the door. We called the cops and he was quickly gone. I called Brandon and he was so generous to offer our money back for that one night. Overall a GREAT stay and would recommend it to anyone!

We'll be back.

Our one night stay at this adorable cottage on herstoric Route 66 was easy, breezy, beautiful. Thoughtful details throughout. Clean, and organized. We loved the fully equipped kitchen! Our dog, Willy, really liked the yard attached to side B. *woof woof* Two paws up. We'll definitely stay here again when visiting family in town, and that's better for all of us.

Charming duplex with thoughtful attention to detail

Our family of four enjoyed a clean, comfortable night in this charming duplex on Route 66. Great thought has been given to stocking the home with all the amenities you might need, and the communication with property managers was very responsive. Particularly during the pandemic, we wanted a contactless, clean place to spend the night, and this hit the spot.

Great interior design and amenities

Great place, hosts were attentive, and we loved the little amenities. While on the iconic Route 66, it didn’t seem as safe for a family. A bit loud at times with motorcycles going up and down throughout the night.

A Way to get Away!

In an era where the only home we’ve been in for six months was our own,it was so nice to be in someone else’s home, alone! No strangers in the lobby, no fears the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned, no need to avoid another couple when sitting outside. This was the Perfect Getaway!

Very comfortable

The only complaint would be the road noise. So many motorcycles traveling on the Main Street. BUT thankfully the bedroom was in the back and there was no noise. Bed was very comfortable which is very important to us. Husband was a little concerned with leaving truck in rear of property.

What a hidden gem!!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The place was just the right size for our family of 4. The second bedroom is tiny, best for 1 kid or small adult but they have an air mattress that fits perfectly in front of the TV and all the couches recline - our whole family just ended up falling asleep to a movie in there. The location is great, if we didn’t have the kids, the party would be on - lots of cool shops, bars, live music - loved to sit on the back patio and listen to the nightlife buzz. Home was very well stocked, host’s cover all your basic needs. Home is very puppy friendly if brining your pet. We will be back!

Great place! 2nd time stayed there.

Second time we have stayed at the Hubbell Duplex. Great, clean, well-stocked and maintained property. Only small issue is the second bedroom/bed is a little small. Our teenager has almost outgrown the small twin bed. But otherwise fantastic property. Great for couples (the master bedroom is fantastic) and/or people with one younger child. We will be back at least one more time.

Enjoyed our stay

Brandon was able to accommodate last minute when we had to make a quick trip for a funeral. The house is very clean, has the charm of many original features mixed with modern upgrades. Owners are thoughtful to provide some snacks and even dog treats (too bad our dog had to stay home). House is right on Rt 66 but bedrooms are in back so it is quiet. Great place!
