My friend and I stayed a couple of nights so we could go to the Biltmore House. The property was good for what we needed. It’s definitely in the country and private, which is what we like. Very quick responses from the host. Easy process.
Driveway was tricky and tight. Only 2 coffe pods provided for 2 people, 3 days. Very slow to get hot water in shower and never did get it at sinks.
Beds very comfortable as well as furniture. Good supply of dishes, pots and pans, soaps. Clean.
Stayed here 3 nights during our girls trip to The Biltmore Estate that included my 88 year old mom and my 28 yr old daughter. Perfect little cozy cottage that was easy to find via gps. Host was quick to respond. We would stay here again!
My family and I loved this charming cabin for a quick weekend getaway. Janet was very helpful with any questions or issues we had during our stay. The cabin is just an 8-10 minute drive from downtown Asheville. If I ever return to Asheville, I will definitely rebook with Janet.
Cute little cottage for a short getaway. It needs some TLC, but it had all the essentials for the most part. The location was pretty much 10-20 mins from everything you could think of, which was great! One of the neighboring houses feeds the bears, so we got to see LOTS of those (not always awesome since we had our dogs with us). I will say we had to figure out a few things on our own (trash bags, how to lock the door, the A/C system, bathroom outlet). I would stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin, which was very clean and nicely decorated. The location was great for our Asheville activities. The highlight for us was definitely watching a mama bear and her 5 cubs each day as they ate breakfast up in the trees or played in the yard/surrounding valley.
We loved our visit to the cabin! It was nice and cozy! We saw a momma bear with her 5 cubs. It was nice and peaceful! Can’t wait to go back! I will say be mindful of the ceiling fan. They hang low and were on the taller side so we hit our head a few times when getting used to the space!
Second time we've stayed in the cottage during the summer. So fun to see the bears daily. We saw a mother and five cubs a couple of times. One evening they were 30 yards away from the porch and stayed for more than 30 minutes.
The cottage is small and cozy. Kitchen could be better equipped. One bedroom door didn't close fully and the bathroom door and other bedroom door aren't balanced properly so they swing open noisily or close constantly. A bit annoying but we'd stay there again for the bears!
Wonderful place to stay! Centrally located to multille different hikes ans an easy drive to downtown Asheville. The cottage was cozy with all of the amenities needed for a great stay. The best part by far though was the wild life. Being able to show our child siting of turkeys and black bears was an amazing experience. Thank you!
My sister and I stayed at this place shortly after my
Husband died in 2021. It is the perfect size for 2 - 3 people or even 4 if you don’t mind just one bathroom and sharing beds. We came back with a friend to celebrate her granddaughter’s high school graduation with a small family dinner and games.
Love, love the area! I used to live in the Haw Creek neighborhood years ago. My favorite part was the bay windows looking over the hollar. The house and property were perfect. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. I also got to see wild Turkeys and black bears! I would highly recommend!
Overall, an enjoyable 5 night stay. Communication was excellent. Nicely furnished with 2 TVs. Nice view drom the front porch. I recommend and would stay again.
This house was central for us since we went both south and north of Asheville to view water falls. Enjoyed the house after a day of hiking. The fringe benefit was sitting on the porch watching the three bears in the neighbors yard about 100 yards away. The turkeys in the morning were a surprise.
A wonderful, clean, updated retreat !! Easy to get to, close enough to amenities but no feeling of being too close to other people. Would definitely stay again !!
This was our first trip together and staying at this cottage was the best decision, we went to a concert and after it we came back to a beautiful, calm atmosphere the views are breathtaking and the cottage itself is so homey you’ll feel like your right at home, definitely will be booking again if we’re up in North carolina!!
