The Hunt Box at Sylvanside Farm is a favorite of our newleywed's. The Scottish builder named the Farm Sylvanside in 1742 which means "by the woods". Cozy bedroom with bay window that overlooks the stone barn, Clydesdales field and pond. Full kitchen, full bath and small living room. The 25 acre groudns are stunning. Enjoy a glass of wine on dock, hike the fields and streams, pet the horses. Escape the city and relax. Our visitors to date have proclaimed it magical and we hope you agree.

About the host
Hosted by Jeff Fanning
Jeff Fanning was born and raised in the local village of Bluemont where he learned his craft as a woodworker specializing in historic house reonvations.
Why they chose this property
At the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains, nothing compares with this 1700's farm featuring an apple orchard, pond, Clydesdale horses, milking Devon cows and 25 acres of pristine farmland to wander surrounded by a spring fed creek.
What makes this property unique
Sylvanside Farm was built in 1740 by a 23 year old Scottish immigrant who named it Sylvanside --by the woods. The Stone barn that still stands proud next to the spring fed pond and the Poplar barn--the largest wooden barn in Loudoun county are sights to behold in this peaceful little hamlet.
