- Very home like feel!
- Great decorations feeling like you are in the mountains!
- Great deck 3/4 around the house
- Bedrooms very adequate.
- Bathrooms very adequate.
- Kitchen very adequate.
- The only real negative was a fireplace was advertised. We were here for the first snow! Plenty of wood, BUT:
- No grate in the fireplace.
- Fireplace doors broken.
- No key to turn gas starter on.
It was obvious the fireplace was not to be used. I could have built a campfire in it I guess, but we were cheated of a lot of mountain ambiance!!
We loved the cabin. It was a nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the hummingbirds, deer and elk. The cabin had a warm cozy feel. We will definitely stay there again.
The cabin was actually better than expected. There is plenty of space between houses. There is a very nice deck off the kitchen as well as a sitting below the deck. This was a very tranquil setting. The house was well equipped with everything needed.
We had a great time with our family. The house had everything we needed and the location was beautiful. You definitely need 4 wheel drive to get out of the driveway if it’s icy!

There were a lot of dead animal skins, fur, and bones around the house and animal traps on the walls.
The dishes weren’t clean and the coffee maker was dirty and the coffee grinder still had leftover grounds.
Communicating with property manager was sub optimal ; long reply times.
This was our second time to visit this charming mountain cabin and we loved it just as much this year!
The cabin is very clean and well decorated. It is stocked with pantry staples and utensils to make cooking and dining at home easier.
Our favorite feature of this beautiful cabin is the outside space - the wrap around deck! We enjoyed having our coffee in the mornings overlooking the aspens, watching deer and a family of wild turkeys pass through several times. Dining on the deck was also very enjoyable!
This cabin is perfect for us and we plan to return next summer!
Last year, we brought the whole gang from 1 year to adults. I thought I had reviewed our trip, but I guess it never went in. So sorry.
This is an adorable cabin that was perfect for 2 families. My daughter and her
Young families had the upper all to themselves and it was great for their little one. The cabin had everything we needed. Several nights we had a baby bear visit on our porch.
The property was great. It had everything we needed and was really nice, but I want to be helpful. You do need 4 wheel drive in the winter for the downhill driveway, and all three of our map apps thought the house was at a different location on the street. It wouldn't matter if you arrive during the day, but at night you can't see house numbers.
We showed up, only to find the driveway is a very steep downhill. We called and were told you could only get down there in the winter with a 4x4. I would say you probably would even need a winch. We were told the listing said this it but we reviewed the listing and it did not say this and VRBO confirmed it did not state this. So, we did not have a place to park or leave the vehicle. We had to pay more money to be able to stay at the resort. Bottom line, this cabin is useless in the winter unless you have a 4x4 with a winch. And to add to the insult, they will gladly steal your money and will not give you a refund despite their error in mentioning this important piece of information. Don’t stay here… don’t waist your MONEY!!!
We just got home and I cannot say enough good things about this property. It was incredibly well stocked (even for cooking Thanksgiving dinner), the driveway had been freshly cleared before we arrived, and we were able to see deer, elk, and wild turkeys while the snow fell. We will definitely stay again!
This house was perfect for us! It was clean and extremely well stocked! There’s a drip coffee pot and an espresso machine. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need! The wrap around porch gave us perfect views of aspens. The window seat upstairs was a favorite spot for our 11 year old daughter. We saw a small brown bear within the first hour we were at the house. The neighborhood is peacefully quiet. Lots of animals! Close to the Angel Fire trails which are very well maintained. We truly did not want to leave.
This is not a complaint nor would it deter us from returning to Angel Fire. There is no trash pick up. All residents and guests have to take their trash to a central location about 8 minutes from the house. Again not a complaint at all! We can’t wait to return and rent this house again!
This was the perfect place for our friendcation. We had plenty of room and all the necessities for cooking and relaxation. We were even visited by some deer and lots of birds during our stay. Highly recommend!
My husband, mother-in-law and myself spent 12 days enjoying this beautiful cabin with our two small pups. We felt welcomed because it was very well decorated, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved sitting on the wrap-around deck every morning with our coffee, enjoying the hummingbirds and chipmunks scurrying around. We did learn quickly to bring the bird feeders in at night because we had a bear visit to help himself to the goodies in the feeders, leaving a large muddy paw print on the window near the hummingbird feeder.
We plan to return to this wonderful cabin again!
