Your welcome wine awaits you (or organic sparkling juice) at award winning Oceanside Village Resort, located near Rathtrevor Beach in beautiful Parksville, BC on Vancouver Island. Parksville is where I choose to live myself now and where I always brought my children to holiday when they were young. The pace is leisurely and scenery is stunning. The Resort is close to airports, ferry terminals, shopping, skiing, golfing, fishing, hiking, glorious beaches and beautiful rivers. The cottage itself is just steps from the resort swimming pool and small fitness centre, as well as other resort amenities and a lovely little lunch bistro. A short walk or drive will bring you to Rathtrevor Beach and Park – a beautiful and favorite spot for all ages. A mini golf facility borders the property – also fun for all! At Parksville Community Beach there is an amazing playground and splash park for children. Steps away from the cottage is the famous Tigh-na-mara spa.
Other interesting places and events in the area include Englishman River Falls, Coombs Market with Goats on the Roof, Errington Farmers' Market, Craig Street Tuesday Night Market, Qualicum Beach Saturday Market, Top Bridge Walking Trail, MacMillan Steam Train and Mill, Horne Lake caves, Cathedral Grove. Northwest Wildlife Centre, Milner Gardens. A cross island jaunt will bring you to the open side of the ocean at Tofino with its storm watching and surfing . There are too many fun things to list!

My contemporary cottage is a spacious and well laid out 2 bedroom with one full bath (separate soaker tub and shower). All appliances are full size and include dishwasher and new washer/dryer for your convenience during your stay. The cottage is nicely decorated and very comfortably furnished including custom livingroom furniture and high end mattresses. . A natural gas fireplace is a plus for cool evenings. All kitchenware and linens are supplied. The cottage is outfitted with so many lovely things and the full kitchen is set up for people who love to cook. Outside amenities include a natural gas barbecue and outside hose to get the sand off before you relax on the sunny deck.

Minimum stay is 2 nights with weekly rates available. Off season rates are in effect from mid September .
Rental agreement is required. Many guests consider this their island home and return every year to enjoy our mild climate. I hope you will love Parksville and Shore Winds as much as I do!

The most amazing cottage

We had the most amazing stay at Shore Winds! The cottage is beautiful, cozy, was very clean and was thoroughly stocked with everything we needed. We made all our own meals so the spices, cookware, pots and pans, utensils, foil and Saran Wrap, etc, all came in super handy. The cottage is across the street from the pool, and is couple minutes drive to Rathtrevor Beach and approximately 5 minutes away from Parksville Park. We had a 6 year old with us and she loved the cottage and how close we were to everything - especially the pool. Kate was such an amazing and welcoming host, and answered all my questions promptly. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Parksville, I highly recommend booking with Kate and staying at Shore Winds cottage! We will definitely be visiting again!

This resort is one of our favorite places to stay in Parksville and Kate's cabin was perfectly suited for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens. Quiet but ideally located just a few steps away from the pool. Kate was also a very responsive host.

Relaxing Week Getaway!

This cozy little cottage was a great find for us! Immaculate and very well equipped with everything we needed and more. Beautiful and private deck area was a real plus. Communication with owner was prompt and very pleasant. Beautiful area and so many amenities nearby. On-site pool and hot tub was great, very clean and easily accessible. There is a great little restaurant on site with awesome fish tacos. If you are planning to go to the Parksville or Qualicum Beach area you can’t go wrong with staying here!

Excellent cottage in Parksville

We loved our stay in this very clean and tidy and beautifully set up cottage. This might be the best organized vacation rental property I have yet had the pleasure of experiencing. It has everything you could possibly need, with lots of thoughtful touches, while remaining nicely organized and uncluttered. Our host Kate was prompt, responsive and welcoming. Would recommend without reservation.

Had an amazing time here in Parksville. Kate was the best host we have had on vbro. The house was perfect condition and located right across from the pool. It was a quite amazing stay.

It was so clean and organized, the check-in process was easy and Kate was so responsive and caring. Everything went smoothly and the location was highly accessible to the beach. The cottage was lovely and homey, and very welcoming. We would likely try and make this an annual trip!

Great little cottage

We really enjoyed our time here. It was quaint and spacious. The kitchen was well appointed and had more than we needed. My kids had a great time and were disappointed we had to leave. It’s also super close to the pool, so that’s a bonus!

Such a little gem

This cottage is just brilliant. Awesome location to explore the surrounding area (and the indoor pool is literally opposite the door too!). Kate was the perfect host, she communicated regularly in advance and went out of her way to ensure our family group had what we needed which was so kind. The house is so well equipped and our only disappointment was having to leave so soon. Highly recommend!

Home away from Home

Great stay and good location. Kate was great with communication and very accomodating. The place is well stocked, and has little games and toys for the kids including beach toys chairs and umbrella. It's right across the street from the pool so that was convienent for us to bring the kids there pretty much everyday. We felt comfortable and it felt like home away from home. Thank you Kate!

Peaceful respite

The cottage was lovely. It was perfect for our family attending a function in Nanaimo. Close, but a refuge away from the busier town. Close to everything. The complex was very well kept. Kate made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay here again if available on our next island trip.

Well stocked, everything you could think of inside unit and on gorgeous deck space. Kate was wonderful to deal with and very responsive. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again and again. Close to the beach and town. and easy access off of highway. One of the cleanest rentals we have stayed in.

This property was exactly as advertised, and had all the things we needed for a great moms & daughters getaway! Lovely enclosed patio, comfy beds (and a sofa bed for the kids which they loved), fully stocked kitchen, and even games and toys. Kate the host was super lovely and very easy to deal with. I used to travel to Parksville for vacation when my children were young so I have many happy memories here. Now that I live here full time I wanted to offer a fun vacation adventure to other travelers. As soon as I went into the cottage it felt so inviting. It is very well appointed with quality furnishings and comfy beds and a very well stocked kitchen.
