Our petite 2 bedroom unit is located in a historic complex built in the 1880's to house railroad workers. The building complex sits on 6 acres of land along a hillside. Plenty of trees and grassy areas to enjoy as well as a short walking trail down to the Connecticut River. In the small town of Wells River, you'll feel like you've gone back in time and enjoy nature along the Connecticut River. Cross the bridge and drive into Woodsville, NH and enjoy all the modern day amenities and stores for your convenience. Just two minutes away from food stores, wal-marts, fast food, etc, but you'll feel at peace in this beautiful apartment.

The unit is located on the second floor with an interior stairwell and with a wrap around porch along the side with forest views. We have updated to the unit with modern amenities and stocked it for your comfort with convenient items for your stay.

The living room features two settees and a roku/Internet TV with SlingTV. The small eat in kitchen seats 3 with oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven and fully stocked with dishware and bakeware.

The master bedroom features a queen size bed with memory foam mattress while the guest bedroom has a twin bed. Bathroom has a stand up corner shower.

This unit is part of a complex of other units available as vacation rentals. Rent this unit alone or if looking to accommodate a larger group, rent multiple units together. Please note the stairs and balcony. This unit is not recommended for anyone with difficulties with stairs or young toddlers.

A Nice and Convenient Place to Visit the White Mountain
We enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was clean, surrounded by beautiful fall foliage, and had everything we needed. We did have an issue with the water heater in the master bedroom. It was loud when someone used the hot water, which made it hard to sleep, recommend bringing earplugs.

Traveling from Florida to visit family we were welcomed by a quaint apartment that was so comfortable that after our four day visit we did not want to leave. The grounds and the river were beautiful! Everyone there was very nice and made our stay wonderful.

Really enjoyed staying here. It is in a beautiful, right out of a Hallmark movie area. The unit was clean and comfortable. My only concern was that the water heater for the building was in the main bedroom and was kinda loud and made it difficult to sleep in if anyone else in the building turned on their hot water.

Vermont escapade!
This is my second time here. Location was close to various attractions - yummy apple cider donuts and local farm fresh ice cream. It was close to lots of places for tourists and locals. Thank you Allison for prompt responses!

Fabulous little apartment in Vermont! Short drive to anything you want. Nicely decorated. Great space. Cozy and functional. Loved sitting on the balcony enjoying our morning coffee. Allison was wonderful and completely understanding when we had to vacate early for an elderly parent's care. Just the nicest place.

Overall a very lovely stay. The location was ideal for us, 5 minutes from the grandkids in Woodsville. The wrap around porch was perfect to enjoy our morning coffee and bird watch. Lots of vintage charm, trees and privacy and a peek-a-boo view of the river too. My only critique - there was a mechanical issue with the on demand hot water tank and it was very loud when it ran. It is shared with the unit below and it's location in the primary bedroom closet is not ideal, especially if you are a light sleeper. Stuff happens! Allison was very responsive to our messages and we would stay at the property again.

Wonderful cozy place
We loved our rooms in this old Victorian house. The setting is gorgeous, and there was everything we needed for our stay. You will need your own personal soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, but all kitchen essentials are supplied, including salt and pepper, ziplock bags, sugar, etc. The laundry facilities are located in the house steps across the parking area and are coin operated. (The washer on the left is a little touchy, and the door must be closed completely before it will start.Tina, the onsite manager, was extremely helpful when I had problems.) The bed was cozy, and the apartment was a great place to come home to after treks across Vermont during the day. There are only two drawbacks which made me give a four rating instead of five. The first was not a problem for us but would be for someone with mobility issues. The stairway leading to the second floor apartment are very steep and narrow. There is a handrail, but I would not recommend them for anyone with back, hip, or knee problems. The second, more bothering problem for us, is that the water heater, an on-demand heater that only comes on when the hot water faucet is activicated, is located in the bedroom closet. Each time the visitors in the downstairs rooms turned on the water, the heater in the closet made loud noises, which can be annoying especially very early in the morning and late at night. Even so, we would gladly stay in this warm, cozy apartment again.
